We have performed molecular dynamics simulations of amorphous Si3N4 containing boron (Si-B-N). We have examined short-range atomic arrangements and self-diffusion constants of amorphous Si-B-N systems with various boron contents. Our simulations show that boron atoms are threefold coordinated by nitrogen atoms and that nitrogen atoms are bonded to both silicon and boron atoms in the amorphous network of Si-B-N. Also, the self-diffusion constant of nitrogen in Si-B-N is much decreased compared with that in amorphous Si3N4. This suggests that boron is important in decreasing the mobility of atoms in amorphous Si-B-N, which may explain the improved thermal stability of amorphous Si-B-N relative to amorphous Si3N4 observed experimentally.  相似文献

纤维复合材料已经研究了数十年了。他们有着比传统材料,如钢材,优秀的多的力学性能。然而,由于相对较低的产量,梭织、编织与其3D纤维结构的复合材料被认为较难大量生产。因此,近年来,针织物在复合材料界获得了较高的关注,它的高度可塑性使针织复合材料可以直接生产制造成各种复杂形状的复合材料如管状、圆锥型等,使得材料的浪费可以降到了最低。本文使用了有表面处理和没有表面处理的纬编平针碳纤维制成复合材料。对两种复合材料的经向和纬向分别做了拉伸试验。结果显示:有表面处理的材料具有更好的拉伸性能,尤其是在wale方向上,有表面处理的复合材料比没有表面处理的复合材料的拉伸强度提高75.68%。  相似文献

Pure-phase LiAl5O8 was selected as an oxide ceramic red phosphor material without dopants (color centers) and was synthesized using a self-flux method. The LiAl5O8 was formed by heating a powder mixture consisting of γ-Al2O3:Li2SO4 = 1:2 (molar ratio) at over 1100 °C for 1 h. Photoluminescence (PL) properties for the synthesized LiAl5O8 were investigated. The maximum intensity of the excitation spectrum for the photoluminescent emission of LiAl5O8 synthesized was at 274 nm. The peak intensity of the emission spectrum was at a wavelength of 667 nm (red color). The intensity of the peak emission spectrum increased with the heating temperature, i.e., the maximum peak intensity of the red emission spectrum was detected for the LiAl5O8 synthesized by heating at 1500 °C for 1 h.  相似文献

Salivary glands from 29 species of marine carnivorous gastropods in nine families were examined for lethal activity against mice and tetramine content. Mouse lethality was assayed by intravenous injection of buffer extracts into mice, and was detected in 14 species. Heat-stability tests confirmed that toxins in four species were thermolabile, while those in eight species were thermostable. Based on the tetramine contents determined by the colorimetric method using methanolic extracts, the thermostable toxins in seven species (Neptunea eulimatalamellosa, N. vinosa, N. arthritica, N. bulbacea, N. intersculpta f. pribiloffensis, N. intersculpta f. frater pilsbry and Hemifusus tuba) were considered to be tetramine contained at high levels (more than 900 micrograms/g salivary gland), but that in one species (Buccinum opisthoplectum) appeared to be a low-molecular-weight compound differing from tetramine. It is interesting that one (Hemifusus tuba) of the seven species containing high amounts of tetramine belongs to the family Melongenidae, although the other six Neptunea species are members of the family Buccinidae, as expected from previous studies.  相似文献

The line-focus-beam ultrasonic material characterization (LIFB-UMC) system is applied to compare and evaluate tolerances provided independently for the Curie temperature T/sub C/ and lattice constant /spl alpha/ to evaluate commercial LiTaO/sub 3/ single crystals by measuring the Rayleigh-type leaky surface acoustic wave (LSAW) velocities V/sub LSAW/. The relationships between VLSAW, and T/sub C/ and /spl alpha/ measured by individual manufacturers were obtained experimentally using 42/spl deg/YX-LiTaO/sub 3/ wafers as specimens from three crystal manufacturers. In addition, the relationship between VLSAW and SH-type SAW velocities V/sub SAW/ that are actually used for the SAW device wafers was obtained through calculations, using the chemical composition dependences of the acoustical physical constants for LiTaO/sub 3/ crystals reported previously. The result of a comparison between the T/sub C/ tolerance of /spl plusmn/3/spl deg/C and the /spl alpha/ tolerance of /spl plusmn/0.00002 nm through the common scale of VLSAW or VSAW demonstrated that the /spl alpha/ tolerance is 1.6 times larger than the T/sub C/ tolerance. Furthermore, we performed a standardized comparison of statistical data of T/sub C/ and /spl alpha/ for LiTaO/sub 3/ crystals grown by two manufacturers during 1999 and 2000, using VLSAW. The results clarified the differences of the average chemical compositions and of the chemical composition distributions among the crystal ingots between the two manufacturers. A guideline for the standardized evaluation procedure has been established for the SAW-device wafer specifications by the LFB-UMC system.  相似文献

We propose sealing techniques for medical hollow fibers to protect the inner surface of fibers from debris or water that scatters from targets. First, hollow fibers are sealed with a film of polymer that is easily formed by use of a dipping technique. The transmission loss of 20-microm-thick sealing film was 0.2 dB for Er:YAG laser light, and the maximum energy that is available for the film was 180 mJ. Second, a sealed glass cap was applied to the output end of hollow fiber. The silica-glass cap with a wall thickness of 400 microm shows a transmission loss of 0.5 dB and was not damaged by radiation of 400-mJ energy pulses.  相似文献

The monomeric multimetal-binding beta-galactosidase of Saccharopolyspora rectivirgula (srbg), a glycosyl hydrolase family-2 enzyme, has a unique sequence consisting of 192 amino acid residues with no similarity to known proteins. This 192-residue sequence (termed the "iota [iota] sequence") appears to be inserted into a sequence homologous to the active-site domain of the Escherichia coli lacZ enzyme (lacZbg). To assess the effects of the t sequence at specific sites of beta-galactosidase on the catalytic functioning and molecular properties of beta-galactosidase, deletion or insertion mutants of beta-galactosidases were constructed, expressed in LacZ- E. coli strains, and characterized: srbgdelta in which the iota sequence was deleted from srbg, and lacZbgI, in which the 192-residue iota sequence was inserted into the corresponding position (between Asp591 and Phe592) in the active-site domain of lacZbg. srbgdelta was a catalytically inactive, dimeric protein which retained multimetal-binding characteristics, suggesting that the iota sequence is very important for maintaining the structure necessary for the catalytic functioning and the monomeric structure of srbg but is not responsible for the unique metal ion requirements of srbg. On the other hand, lacZbgI existed as a mixture of a monomer, a tetramer, and higher multimers. The monomeric species was inactive, whereas the tetramer and other multimers were catalytically active (V(max )K(m) value, 25% of that of lacZbg) and highly specific for beta-D-galactoside. The tetrameric lacZbgI was activated by Mg2+ and Mn2+ with lowered metal affinities, and the stoichiometry of metal binding was unchanged from that of lacZbg. These results, along with the published stereo structure of lacZbg, suggest that, in lacZbgI, the inserted 192-residue iota peptide could fold independently of the lacZbg domains into a "sub-domain," lying distant from the active site and subunit interfaces.  相似文献

The kinetic parameters of Cex, a family 10 xylanase from Cellulomonas fimi, were determined at various pH levels using soluble birchwood xylan (BWX) as a natural polymeric substrate along with three other synthetic aryl-beta-D-xylobioside substrates. Using BWX, a high level of substrate inhibition was observed which increased with decreasing pH. In contrast, typical Michaelis-Menten-type profiles were obtained using the three aryl-beta-D-xylobiosides as substrates. The k(cat) values determined using o-nitrophenyl-beta-D-xylobioside did not change as the pH increased, whereas the k(cat) values obtained with BWX, phenyl-beta-D-xylobioside and p-nitrophenyl-beta-D-xylobioside decreased, suggesting that the presence of an ortho nitro group affects the activity displayed by Cex. These differences were not observed with XynB from Clostridium stercorarium F9, a member of the same family of xylanases as Cex. These results indicate that a careful evaluation is required when employing substituted aryl-beta-D-xylobiosides in the characterization of xylanases.  相似文献
