Sparse matrix–vector multiplication (SpMV) is one of the most important high level operations for basic linear algebra. Nowadays, the GPU has evolved into a highly parallel coprocessor which is suited to compute-intensive, highly parallel computation. Achieving high performance of SpMV on GPUs is relatively challenging, especially when the matrix has no specific structure. For these general sparse matrices, a new data structure based on the bisection ELLPACK format, BiELL, is designed to realize the load balance better, and thus improve the performance of the SpMV. Besides, based on the same idea of JAD format, the BiJAD format can be obtained. Experimental results on various matrices show that the BiELL and BiJAD formats perform better than other similar formats, especially when the number of non-zero elements per row varies a lot.  相似文献

In this study, poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET)/SiO2 nanocomposites were synthesized by in situ polymerization and melt‐spun to fibers. The superfine structure, physical properties, and dyeability of alkaline hydrolyzed PET/SiO2 nanocomposite fibers were studied. According to the TEM, SiO2 nanoparticles were well dispersed in the PET matrix at a size level of 10–20 nm. PET/SiO2 nanocomposite fibers were treated with aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide at 100°C for different time. The differences in the alkaline hydrolysis mechanism between pure PET and PET/SiO2 nanocomposite fibers were preliminarily investigated, which were evaluated in terms of the weight loss, tensile strength, specific surface area, as well as disperse dye uptake. PET/SiO2 nanocomposite fibers showed a greater degree of weight loss as compared with that of pure PET fibers. More and tougher superfine structures, such as cracks, craters, and cavities, were introduced, which would facilitate the certain application like deep dyeing. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 重点研究了各工艺条件下的膜污染状况和混合液特性变化对膜阻力分布的影响。结果表明投加PAC和原水可生化性较好时都利于减缓膜污染。它们分别通过增加膜表面泥饼层的孔隙率和增大混合液的粗径分布来提高混合液可过滤性,使沉积层阻力Rc分别降至原MBR工艺的51.4%和33.3%。试验证实与原MBR工艺相比,投加PAC和采用可生化性较好的原水后,单位膜面积处理单位体积湖水时膜比通量的下降率分别由4.64%m^-1下降至1.85%m^-2和14.31%m^-1。  相似文献

In geometric modeling, surface parameterization plays an important role for converting triangle meshes to spline surfaces. Parameterization will introduce distortions. Conventional parameterization methods emphasize on angle-preservation, which may induce huge area distortions and cause large spline fitting errors and trigger numerical instabilities.To overcome this difficulty, this work proposes a novel area-preserving parameterization method, which is based on an optimal mass transport theory and convex geometry. Optimal mass transport mapping is measure-preserving and minimizes the transportation cost. According to Brenier’s theorem, for quadratic distance transportation costs, the optimal mass transport map is the gradient of a convex function. The graph of the convex function is a convex polyhedron with prescribed normal and areas. The existence and the uniqueness of such a polyhedron have been proved by the Minkowski-Alexandrov theorem in convex geometry. This work gives an explicit method to construct such a polyhedron based on the variational principle, and formulates the solution to the optimal transport map as the unique optimum of a convex energy. In practice, the energy optimization can be carried out using Newton’s method, and each iteration constructs a power Voronoi diagram dynamically. We tested the proposal algorithms on 3D surfaces scanned from real life. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and efficacy of the proposed variational approach for the optimal transport map.  相似文献

Recent research has shown that more and more web users utilize social annotations to manage and organize their interested resources. Therefore, with the growing popularity of social annotations, it is becoming more and more important to utilize such social annotations to achieve effective web search. However, using a statistical model, there are no previous studies that examine the relationships between queries and social annotations. Motivated by this observation, we use social annotations to re-rank search results. We intend to optimize retrieval ranking method by using the ranking strategy of integrating the query-annotation similarity into query-document similarity. Specifically, we calculate the query-annotation similarity by using a statistical language model, which in a shorter form we call simply a language model. Then the initial search results are re-ranked according to the computational weighted score of the query-document similarity score and the query-annotation similarity score. Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the NDCG score by 8.13%. We further conduct an empirical evaluation of the method by using a query set including about 300 popular social annotations and constructed phrases. More generally, the optimized results with social annotations based on a language model can be of significant benefit to web search.  相似文献

This paper considers UAV path following in cluttered environments under windy conditions. Unstructured wind patterns in cluttered environments can make path following difficult resulting in high errors and possibly collisions with buildings. Combining a pursuit guidance law philosophy with a line-of-sight guidance law, we develop a novel guidance law that has low computational complexity and can track straight line paths, circular paths, a combination of both and waypaths accurately in the presence of wind blowing as high as fifty percent of the UAV’s air speed. Performance of the guidance law is demonstrated through numerical simulations.  相似文献

Optical flow has been widely used by insects and birds to support navigation functions. Such information has appealing capabilities for application to ground and aerial robots, especially for navigation and collision avoidance in urban or indoor areas. The purpose of this paper is to provide a survey of existing optical flow techniques for robotics navigation applications. Detailed comparisons are made among different optical-flow-aided navigation solutions with emphasis on the sensor hardware as well as optical flow motion models.
