A smart home usually has a variety of devices or home appliance, instead of designing software for a specific home, this paper
proposes a service-oriented framework with a set of ontology systems to support service and device publishing, discovery of
devices and their services, composition of control software using existing control services that wrap devices, deployment,
and execution of the composed service in an computing environment, monitoring the execution, and recovery from device failure.
The ontology systems specify semantic information about devices, services, and workflows used in various smart home, and users
can compose and recompose services for their specific needs. New devices, workflows, and services can be added into ontology.
Most of the steps in this process can be automated including code generation. For example, service composition will be carried
out in three steps: abstract workflow design, function construction, and device discovery, and different codes can be generated
for different computing platforms such as Java and Open Services Gateway initiative environments. In this way, a variety of
smart home can be constructed rapidly using the framework by discovery and composition using existing services and workflows.
This paper illustrates this framework using a media control example to illustrate the ontology, discovery, composition, deployment,

Well-defined Ln2Sn2O7 powders (Ln = La, Sm and Gd) with a phase-pure pyrochlore structure were synthesized by hydrothermal reaction. The catalytic activities of Ln2Sn2O7 powders for methane combustion were measured. Methane oxidation started at 500 °C and increased with oxidation temperature. Catalytic methane combustion is strongly influenced by the presence of oxygen vacancies that form by breaking Sn–O lattice bonds as the temperature increases. Addition of manganese to the rare earth pyrochlores improved methane oxidation activity. Manganese-doped samarium stannate pyrochlore (Sm2Sn1.8Mn0.2O7) shows highest the catalytic activity. Light-off and complete oxidation temperatures were measured at about 400 and 650 °C, respectively. 相似文献

Optimization of reduction potential for electroseparation was studied for the recovery of gold, copper, and lead from acidic
solution. A linear sweep voltammetric method enabled us to determine characteristic reduction potentials for each metal and
the kinetics of the metal deposition indicated by current-voltage curves. In order to precipitate the metal species sequentially,
reduction potentials were examined for the individual and mixed solutions of Au(III), Cu(II), and Pb(II). The three metals
were reasonably well isolated from the mixed solutions such as Cu(II)/ Pb(II) and Au(III)/Cu(II)/Pb(II) in the order of the
corresponding reduction potentials, in particular, the mass transfer controlled reduction potentials, obtained from linear

The join is an important operator in processing data streams. To produce outputs continuously over unbounded data streams, sliding windows are generally used to limit the scope of the join at a certain time. In the existing join algorithms, only a simple type of windows have been considered, which are updated whenever a new data item arrives on any input stream. On the other hand, a more common type of windows have not been addressed yet, whose intervals are updated periodically, i.e., slid by a predefined time interval. In this paper, we consider the time-slide windows in joining multiple data streams. The algorithm for the time-slide window join can vary according to (i) how frequently the join is evaluated and (ii) which structure is used for windowing. A mathematical model for the pyrolysis reaction of polystyrene (PS) in a semi-batch reactor has been presented. The thermal
degradation of PS was flexibly modeled by a combination of random and specific chain-end scissions. Numerical simulation was
used to investigate the effect of operating conditions on the PS products spectrum, the results of which were validated by
the experimental data. It was found that as the reaction temperature increased (decreased), the monomer fraction in the products
became lower (higher) while the trimer higher (lower). No significant variation in the product composition was, however, observed
while constant temperature was maintained. These results indicate the reaction temperature is an effective manipulated variable
for the control of products composition of PS pyrolysis. The calculation of the optimum temperature trajectories through the
optimization study can thus be of interest for achieving productivity enhancement in plastics pyrolysis processes.

The effect of adsorptive species on non-isothermal gas-solid reactions is studied on the basis of Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetics. The concept of an effectiveness factor provides good information to ascertain the effect of adsorptive species and the transition of the rate controlling regime, in connection with the parameters, generally used in the analysis of non-isothermal behavior. For highly exothermic reactions, the effectiveness factor-Thiele modulus curves with multiple solutions are presented with respect to the modified adsorption equilibrium constant. A new characterization procedure for aqueous solutions with unknown composition was proposed based on the binomial distribution
of TOC (total organic carbon) fraction in terms of a characterizing variable, the Freundlich coefficient, k, so that the solution
in question can be described by a finite number of pseudo.species identified with a certain k value. The validity and computational
accuracy of this procedure has been demonstrated by characterizing three sets of experimental data chosen from different sources.

phenols by activated carbon. Surface diffusion coefficients for multicomponent adsorptions were estimated from the relationship
between. the surface diffusion coefficient of each species and the surface coverage. The diffusional interference coefficients,
Wij, was determined from experimental counter-adsorption data. The numerical values of Wij were in the range of 0.4–0.9, which show that the introduction of diffusional interference is necessary to analyze multicomponent

In this paper, we propose a new fully computerized image analysis method for measuring the thickness of muscles from ultrasound image obtained by muscle endurance test using morphological information of fascia and thoracic vertebra. Firstly, we divide the image into lumbar region and thoracolumbar region by the difference of density in image for measuring the thickness of muscles. In lumbar region, we notice that the intensity of fascia is relatively higher than other parts. Thus, we measure the thickness of muscles surrounding the fascia area. In the process, we apply median filter to candidate fascia areas for extracting candidate muscle layers between fascias. Then, the thickness of muscles we measure is that of the third layer. In thoracolumbar region, we apply region expansion method for classifying the region into subcutaneous fat part and part including thoracic vertebra. Then, we apply counting method and evolutionary computation search model to find the measuring location that is in between subcutaneous fat area and thoracic vertebra. In experiment, the proposed method is effective in measuring the thickness of muscles and avoids failures of previous studies. The performance of this approach is sufficiently comparable to that of medical experts. 相似文献

To provide context-based personalized services utilizing smart appliances in a smart home environment, we propose a framework for PersonAlized Service disCovery Using FuZZY-based CBR and Context Ontology (PASCUZZY). Basically, the PASCUZZY framework is implemented on case-based context ontology. To generate and manage the case instances on the case-based context ontology, we adopt the fuzzy set theory to transpose numerical-type context data sensed from the surrounding environment. The context is transposed to linguistic-type context instances on the context ontology. In addition, to formalize and manage the context and services as multi-attributed data, the context ontology was developed reflecting the structure of cases borrowed from case-based reasoning. Furthermore, we propose adaptation methods to adjust the generic fuzzy membership functions depending on the inhabitants’ context. It is performed by modifying the values of the membership number and/or modifying the numbers of the linguistic terms that are based on the inhabitants’ context to affect the membership numbers. The adapted membership functions return the personalized degree of memberships depending on the specialized context of a specific fuzzy variable. Inevitably, the number of cases on the case-based context ontology will be increased from time to time. We apply Ward’s method not only to reduce the search effort via a hierarchical clustering on the case-based context ontology but also to find the most similar service as a solution to the new context. To verify the superiority of the PASCUZZY framework, we perform two kinds of evaluations. First, we evaluate the effectiveness of the adaptation of the fuzzy membership functions. Second, we verify the effectiveness of the application of a clustering method to the case instances of the case-based context ontology to identify the most similar service.
