Problem Orientation in Developing Computer Architectures

The results of investigating the trends of evolution of computer architectures are considered from the viewpoint of problem orientation. Main directions of development, prospects, and realizability of highly efficient computer systems with virtual architecture are formulated and substantiated.     

Selective effect of weak electromagnetic field on ferroelectric crystals with hydrogen bonds

It is found that the ferroelectric crystals of triglycine sulfate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate are selectively sensitive to a weak electromagnetic field. The effect detected is supposed to be associated with the decay of defect complexes stabilized by hydrogen bonds.     

The structure of FPGA-based cyclic-code converters

We offer a universal multilevel structure (of parallel and parallel-sequential types) that uses logical AND, NOR and OR functions to convert cyclic code words containing a cyclic group of units or zeros. Realized as FPGAs, the structures are proved to ensure correct operation. The results of simulation experiments are given as time diagrams.     

Reconfigurable-computing technology

Evolution of computers with flexible architecture is considered. Distinctive features of the architectural and structural organization of reconfigurable computer systems (RCSs) are described. Based on a modified logical-informational method and a configuration file library, a general algorithm is proposed to design RCSs. Functionally Oriented Approach in Research-Related Design

This article considers the functional approach in research-related design based on the technology of scientific-technical creativity with its morphological and transformation methods. The supplement of the technology with elements of marketing research makes it possible to obtain an innovative product with high technical characteristics. This approach provides a combination of the mentioned properties. The emphasis is placed on the class of computer facilities (smart systems) that are currently developing intensively.
