Purification and characterization of parvalbumins from silver carp (Hypophthalmichthy molitrix)

BACKGROUND: As the largest producer and consumer of freshwater fish in the world, many people suffer from allergy for consuming freshwater fish in China. However, the allergen profiles of freshwater fish are rarely known. RESULTS: Parvalbumins (PVs) from the white muscle of silver carp (Hypophthalmichthy molitrix) were purified by ammonium sulfate fractionation and column chromatography including DEAE‐Sepharose and Superdex 75. Three PV isoforms—PV‐I, PV‐II, and PV‐III—were obtained and their molecular masses as estimated by tricine–sodium dodecyl sulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were 12, 11, and 14 kDa, respectively. All the PVs could be detected by anti‐frog PV monoclonal antibody. PV‐I and PV‐II were quite possibly glycoproteins, while PV‐III was not glycosylated, as analyzed by periodic acid–Schiff (PAS) staining. Thermal stability revealed that PV‐I and PV‐II easily formed polymers, while these proteins were stable in a pH range of 4.0–10.0. A PV gene encoding 110 amino acid residues was cloned and it revealed high identity with PVs from other species of fish. CONCLUSION: Three isotypes of PV were purified to homogeneity and one distinct PV gene was cloned in silver carp white muscle. Copyright © 2010 Society of Chemical Industry

Development of High Deformability Pipeline Steel

Based on strain-based design, high deformability X70 high strength pipeline steel with dual-phase microstructure has been developed, which can be laid in the seismic, the cold or the deepwater region. The results illustrated that the developed X70 steel has the stress-strain curve like round house and it shows good anti-transformation characteristic, high uniform deformation(≥10%), enhanced n-value(≥0.10), and the low yield-tensile ratio Y/T(≤0.85). 85℃3000小时系列焊片式铝电解电容器的开发研究

该次试验的目的是为了开发出85℃3000小时这种新的系列的焊片式铝电解电容器。为此，对该系列选取了最小电压200V的小容量和大容量，及最大电压450V的小容量和大容量的产品分别进行了设计和开发。开发过程中对阳极箔，阴极箔，电解纸，电解液等原材料进行了分析比较，并将四种设计分别做成产品并测试最薄弱的环节85℃3000小时的纹波电流试验，结果表明该系列的设计能很好地满足电性能要求。

Experimental researches on sliding mode active vibration control of flexible piezoelectric cantilever plate integrated gyroscope

The flexible appendages of spacecrafts in aerospace applications demand to be lighter and larger. Thus, they are susceptible to excessive vibration response due to external disturbances or attitude maneuvering. Some of the flexible appendages are cantilever plate structures, such as solar panels and plate shape antennas. Usually, the coupled bending and torsional vibration of cantilever plate will be caused. To decouple the bending and torsional vibration for measuring and driving, gyroscope and PZT patches are used as sensors and actuators by utilizing optimal placement. The motion of equation of the presented piezoelectric plate system is derived. And a kind of discrete-time sliding mode variable structure control (VSC) algorithm is proposed to suppress vibration of the flexible plate. The experimental comparison studies are conducted. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed methods can suppress vibration significantly for cantilever plate.     

Finite Element Study on the Influence of Structural Parameters on the Ballistic Performance of 3D Networked Fabrics

Networked fabrics are a type of three-dimensional multilayer fabrics having predetermined interconnections between layers by combining yarns from two adjacent sublayers into one. This paper reports the research on the influence of structural parameters on the ballistic performance of networked fabrics using finite element analysis in parallel with experiment. The widths of separate and combined sections are found to affect the energy absorption (EA) of regular networked fabrics against high-velocity impact. Separate sections of networked fabrics generally outperform combined sections. The optimal width of the separate section is around 9.5 cm for both dense and loose networked fabrics when impacted at the separate section. The optimal width of combined section decreases from 2.38 cm to 1.15 cm with the decrease of weave density in this area. For the studied structural parameters, highest EAs of dense and loose networked fabrics are around 13.3% and 17.1% higher than those of their counterpart layups of dense and loose plain-woven fabrics, respectively. These findings suggest networked fabrics could be engineered to improve the ballistic performance of flexible fabrics.     

Polyacrylate/SiO2 nanocomposites prepared by combining non-aqueous sol–gel process and miniemulsion polymerization

Cationically photopolymerizable phenyl epoxy-silicone monomers (Ep-Ph-Si) with a high RI and high photopolymerization activity have been synthesized via sequential hydrosilylation reactions of 1,3,5,7- tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane by attaching first styrene, followed by 4-vinyl-1-cyclohexene-1,2-epoxide in the presence of Lamoreaux catalyst. The content of benzene ring in the monomers was determined by ¹HNMR; the epoxy value was examed by chemical titration. The RI of the obtained monomers showed that the benzene ring could improve the refractive indices (RIs) and the RIs of the phenyl epoxy-silicone monomers ranged from 1.50 to 1.52. The cationic photopolymerization of these monomers initiated by triarylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate (P-S) showed that phenyl epoxy-silicone monomers with little amount of benzene ring still exhibited high photopolymerization rate. Those properties are well suitable for the application in UV-curing optical coatings and encapsulation materials.
