With a potential-energy function of Co described by the embedded-atom method (EAM), molecular-dynamics (MD) simulations were performed for a series of initial fcc configurations with different types of dislocations or preset hcp embryos. The gliding process of a Shockley dislocation on a closepacked plane has been observed, which starts from the origin of the dislocation and proceeds at a high speed of 280 m/s toward a certain direction. An atom which has been swept by the dislocation line was detected to contribute a displacement close to the Burgers vector of a Shockley dislocation. It is in this way that a new stacking sequence is produced and an hcp lamella grows in the fcc structure. A similar gliding process has been observed in the case where an intrinsic stacking fault is preexisting in the fcc structure. The transformation is, again, toward forming a local hcp region. These results prove that a special dislocation in the fcc structure can act as an embryo of the hcp, as described in many dislocation mechanisms of the martensitic transformation. The fcc → hcp phase-tranformation process of Co has been further reproduced by a simulation initiated from an fcc/hcp two-phase configuration. It yields a single hcp crystal as the final transformed product.  相似文献

This study focuses on an emulsion as a new thermal storage material for ice storage. Two types of emulsions were formed using an oil–water mixture with a small amount of additive. A silicone, light and lump oils were used. The water contents of the emulsions were 70, 80 and 90%. The additive was an amino group modified silicone oil. No depression of freezing point was observed for the emulsions because of their hydrophobic properties. In order to determine the structure of the emulsions, their electrical resistances were measured. Moreover, components of the liquids separating from the emulsions were analyzed. The results indicated that one emulsion was a W/O type emulsion, while the other was an O/W type. Finally, adaptability of the two emulsions to ice storage was discussed, it was concluded that a high performance ice slurry could be formed by the W/O type emulsion.  相似文献

An integrated code system SECOM-2, developed at the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), has the following functions for systems reliability analysis in seismic probabilistic safety assessments (PSAs): (1) calculation of component failure probability, (2) extraction of minimal cut sets (MCSs) from a given fault tree (FT), (3) calculation of frequencies of accident sequences and core damage, (4) importance analysis with several measures with consideration of unique parameters of seismic PSAs, (5) sensitivity analysis, and (6) uncertainty analysis. This paper summarizes the special features of SECOM-2 to perform the analyses mentioned above. At JAERI, using an integrated FT which represents seismically induced core damage due to all initiating events as a system model to calculate core damage frequency of a nuclear power plant, SECOM-2 can calculate conditional point estimate probabilities of system failures, losses of safety functions, and core damage as a function of earthquake motions. The point estimate is computed by a method which gives an exact numerical solution using the Boolean arithmetic model method. As for consideration of correlation of component failure, which has been an important issue in seismic PSAs, a new technique based on direct FT quantification by a Monte Carlo simulation is being added to SECOM-2. Adding this technique, the core damage frequency can be calculated not only with the upper bound approximation based on MCSs but also with a near exact solution taking into account the correlation among all components. This paper also presents the preliminary results of a seismic PSA of a generic BWR plant in Japan performed at JAERI to demonstrate the functions of the SECOM-2 code.  相似文献

In twenty eight patients with iron deficiency the efficacy of iron-acetil-transferrin treatment (2-3 mg/kg/die) has been evaluated from the changes of the following variables: RBC and reticulocyte count, Hb concentration, MCV, MCH, serum ferritin, serum iron, TIBC, and ZnPP. These variables were assessed before and after three months of treatment in all patients, and after three months from the end of the treatment in thirteen patients. At the end of the treatment there was a significant increase of RBC count, Hb concentration, MCV, MCH, serum ferritin, serum iron, and TIBC, a significant decrease of ZnPP, while reticulocyte count remained essentially unchanged. After three months from the end of the treatment only serum ferritin and ZnPP underwent an additional significant increase and decrease, respectively. In twenty-six patients serum ferritin values returned to normal. The changes of RBC and reticulocyte count, Hb concentration, MCV, serum iron, and TIBC were larger the lower the initial values, suggesting that the efficacy of the treatment is greater the more serious the iron deficiency.  相似文献

Fibrolamellar carcinoma (FLC) is a variant of hepatocellular carcinoma characterized by distinct pathological features. The presence of intracellular lumina resembling bile canaliculi was previously reported in tumor cells of FLC on electron microscopy. Using light microscopy, we describe the presence of intracellular lumina in FLC, which was resected from a 15-year-old Japanese girl, as round structures lined with a brush-like border. These lumina occasionally contained bile. Light microscopic examination of 1 micron thick serial sections of Epon-embedded tissue samples showed that the lumina were located in the intracellular space without any connection to the intercellular space. However, we also detected a small number of lumina that were lined by microvilli, which were present between adjacent tumor cells. Results suggest that the presence of the intracellular lumina in tumor cells probably represents a common histopathologic feature of FLC.  相似文献

The phase equilibria between the γ (A1) and liquid phases and those between the γ, ε (A3), σ (D8b) and α (A2) phases at temperatures between 750 and 1300 °C in the Co-Cr-Ni system were determined by differential scanning calorimetry and electron probe microanalysis. It was found that the γ solidus and liquidus temperatures decrease with increasing Cr or Ni content and that the difference between them increases with increasing Cr content. The phase equilibria at 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300 °C were determined using two- or three-phase alloys, and the phase boundaries due to the magnetically induced phase separation in the γ and ε phases were also observed at 850, 800 and 750 °C by the diffusion couple method.  相似文献

Chemical ligation reaction of DNA is useful for the construction of long functional DNA using oligonucleotide fragments that are prepared by solid phase chemical synthesis. However, the unnatural linkage structure formed by the ligation reaction generally impairs the biological function of the resulting ligated DNA. We achieved the complete chemical synthesis of 78 and 258 bp synthetic DNAs via multiple chemical ligation reactions with phosphorothioate and haloacyl-modified DNA fragments. The latter synthetic DNA, coding shRNA for luciferase genes with a designed truncated SV promoter sequence, successfully induced the expected gene silencing effect in HeLa cells.  相似文献
