In this paper, we propose a robust and accurate background model, called grayscale arranging pairs (GAP). The model is based on the statistical reach feature (SRF), which is defined as a set of statistical pair-wise features. Using the GAP model, moving objects are successfully detected under a variety of complex environmental conditions. The main concept of the proposed method is the use of multiple point pairs that exhibit a stable statistical intensity relationship as a background model. The intensity difference between pixels of the pair is much more stable than the intensity of a single pixel, especially in varying environments. Our proposed method focuses more on the history of global spatial correlations between pixels than on the history of any given pixel or local spatial correlations. Furthermore, we clarify how to reduce the GAP modeling time and present experimental results comparing GAP with existing object detection methods, demonstrating that superior object detection with higher precision and recall rates is achieved by GAP.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors report biplane computed cerebral angiotomographic findings in 5 cases of Moyamoya disease. The specific features of Moyamoya disease on the CT image were as follows: On the axial plane, the linear structures of the anterior half of the circle of Willis and the proximal portion of the middle cerebral arteries disappeared, and instead of these normal structures, irregular, tortuous or patchy high-density areas just like a "caterpillar" were shown in the basal cistern and medial Sylvian fissures. On the modified coronal plane, the supraclinoid internal carotid arteries and the carotid fork could be identified only with a difficulty, and abnormal, "nebular" high-density areas consisting of irregular, tortuous or patchy high-density vascular components became visible in the basal cistern extending to the basal ganglia. A modified coronal plane and intravenous minimum dose bolus injection method seemed to be more useful for the visualization of these specific features on the CT image. Even before carotid angiography, we can suspect Moyamoya disease for finding these specific features on the CT image. Carotid angiography has been the only method of diagnosing Moyamoya disease. Instead of this invasive examination, computed cerebral angiotomography is useful in detecting Moyamoya disease conveniently and non-invasively. Therefore, we may conclude that computed cerebral angiotomography is very useful method for screening and follow up study of Moyamoya disease.  相似文献

Described here is a method for estimating rolling and swaying motions of a mobile robot using optical flow. We have proposed an image sensor with a hyperboloidal mirror for the vision-based navigation of a mobile robot. Its name is HyperOmni Vision. The radial component of optical flow in HyperOmni Vision has a periodic characteristic. The circumferential component of optical flow has a symmetric characteristic. Recursive polynomial expansion method is an efficient scheme to evaluate Green functions for large systems without direct diagonalization of the Hamiltonian. It is based on a polynomial expansion of the Green function, and has many advantages compared with other methods. However, there are little reports on its error estimations. In this paper, the cut-off error of the method is estimated analytically, which results from the truncation of expansion at finite orders. It is found that the error is inversely proportional to the number of expansion order N except for the singular points for the system with point spectrum. For the system with continuous spectrum, the error is inversely proportional to N3/2 and decreases much faster in terms of the expansion order.  相似文献

A new vacuum seal for a rectangular flange used in r.f. equipments, was developed. The vacuum seal consists of a recess with a flat surface, machined into a rectangular flange, a rectangular metal gasket with a raised projection on one face, and a mating flange with a recess and raised projection. No leak greater than 1 × 10−10 Pa m3/s was found in leak tests, before and after baking cycles (100 °C, 12 h).  相似文献

The decomposition characteristics of an artificial biogas, which is a mixture of CH 4, CO 2, and H 2 S, using a low‐pressure DC glow discharge have been investigated. It is found that H 2, CO, C 2 H 2, H 2 O, CS 2, and COS are produced from the artificial biogas in the glow discharge. About 65% of the hydrogen atoms in CH 4 are converted into H 2 at an input energy of 800 J, at which CH 4 is completely decomposed, and the decomposition characteristics of the artificial biogas are minimally dependent on the H 2 S additive. Further, H 2 S has a tendency to be decomposed earlier than the other components of the artificial biogas. When the glow discharge is generated in the artificial biogas with H 2 S, some of the carbon atoms are found to deposit on the electrodes and the wall of the discharge chamber. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ABSTRACT

A cognitive map is an internal model of the external world and contains the spatial representation of the surrounding environment. The existence of the cognitive map was first identified in rats; rats can navigate to their desired destination using cognitive maps while dealing with environmental uncertainty. We performed a mobile robot navigation experiment where obstacles were randomly placed using hierarchical recurrent neural network (HRNN) with multiple timescales. The HRNN was trained to navigate the mobile robot to the destination indicated by a snapshot image. After the training, the HRNN was able to successfully avoid the obstacles and navigate to the destination from any location in the environment. Analysis of the internal states of the HRNN showed that the module with fast timescale handles obstacle avoidance and the one with slow timescale has spatial representation corresponding to the spatial position of the destination. Moreover, in the experiment wherein the novel path appeared, the trained HRNN performed shortcut behavior. The shortcut behavior shows that the HRNN performed navigation using the self-organized spatial representation in the slow recurrent neural network. This indicates that training of goal-oriented navigation, i.e. the navigation motivated by a snapshot image of the destination results in the self-organization of cognitive map-like representation.  相似文献

Network copolyesters were prepared from trimesic (Y), pyromellitic (X) or mellitic (YH) acids and 1,6-hexanediol (6G). Prepolymers prepared by meltpolycondensation were cast from dimethylformamide solution and postpolymerized at 260°C for 6h to form a network. The resultant films were transparent, flexible and insoluble in any organic solvents. Degree of reaction estimated from the infrared absorbance of ester and methylene groups was almost the same for all films, 94–96%. X-ray diffraction intensity curves and densities showed that the ordering of networks was decreased by the copolymerization, which was remarkable for 6G–X/YH copolymer films and was consistent with the higher decreases of heat-distortion temperature for these copolymer films. The copolymerization also caused decrease of thermal stability, tensile properties and alkali resistance and increase of dye absorption.  相似文献

Carbonization properties of a Ql-free coal-tar pitch (CTP-ASM) prepared by selective precipitation were studied to evaluate it as a source for needle-coke. Its modifying ability for production of needlecoke in co-carbonizations with principal carbonizing substances which gave cokes of mozaic texture in single carbonizations was estimated by changing mixing ratios. The shape and size of the anisotropic optical texture in the co-carbonized coke were measured by point counting. CTP-ASM and Ashland A240, of eight additives, had the highest modifying ability in the co-carbonizations with Khafji vacuum residue. Both contained ca. 6% benzene-insolubles (Bl), and had fa values of ≈0.9. Other additives of either lower or higher Bl or fa showed less modifying ability. The modifying susceptibility of principal carbonizing substances varies with their structure and properties. Based on a systematic investigation of co-carbonizations the compatibility between a principal carbonizing substance and an additive is discussed from a viewpoint of their structural parameters.  相似文献
