When the high-pressure gas is exhausted to the vacuum chamber from the supersonic nozzle,the overexpandedsupersonic jet is formed at specific condition.In two-dimensional supersonic jet,furthermore,it is known that thehysteresis phenomena for the reflection type of shock wave in the flow field is occurred under the quasi-steadyflow and for instance,the transitional pressure ratio between the regular reflection(RR)and Mach reflection(MR) is affected by this phenomenon.Many papers have described the hysteresis phenomena for underexpandedsupersonic jet,but this phenomenon under the overexpanded axisymmetric jet has not been detailed in the pastpapers.The purpose of this study is to clear the hysteresis phenomena for the reflection type of shock wave at theoverexpanded axisymmetric jet using the TVD method and to discuss the characteristic of hysteresis phenomena. 相似文献

Metallographic studies have been made of precipitation processes in Ti-50 pct Ni and Ti-52 pct Ni (at. pct) shape memory alloys.
The eutectoid and peritectoid reactions previously reported for near-equiatomic and Ni-rich TiNi alloys were not observed
for either composition. In the Ti-52Ni alloy, diffusional transformations take place, similar to those in supersaturated alloys.
The precipitation sequence can be written asβ
0 → Ti11Ni14 → Ti2Ni3 → TiNi3. The solidus line of the TiNi phase in the Ti-52Ni alloy lies at 812 ± 22 °C. Morphological characteristics of the various
precipitate phases are described in detail.

Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) constitute a large family of signaling molecules that act in an autocrine/paracrine, endocrine, or intracrine manner, whereas the cellular communication network factors (CCN) family is composed of six members that manipulate extracellular signaling networks. FGFs and CCNs are structurally and functionally distinct, except for the common characteristics as matricellular proteins. Both play significant roles in the development of a variety of tissues and organs, including the skeletal system. In vertebrates, most of the skeletal parts are formed and grow through a process designated endochondral ossification, in which chondrocytes play the central role. The growth plate cartilage is the place where endochondral ossification occurs, and articular cartilage is left to support the locomotive function of joints. Several FGFs, including FGF-2, one of the founding members of this family, and all of the CCNs represented by CCN2, which is required for proper skeletal development, can be found therein. Research over a decade has revealed direct binding of CCN2 to FGFs and FGF receptors (FGFRs), which occasionally affect the biological outcome via FGF signaling. Moreover, a recent study uncovered an integrated regulation of FGF and CCN genes by FGF signaling. In this review, after a brief introduction of these two families, molecular and genetic interactions between CCN and FGF family members in cartilage, and their biological effects, are summarized. The molecular interplay represents the mutual involvement of the other in their molecular functions, leading to collaboration between CCN2 and FGFs during skeletal development. 相似文献

The droplets and vapor distributions in a fuel spray were imaged by a dual-wavelength laser absorption-scattering technique. 1,3-dimethylnaphthalene, which has physical properties similar to those of Diesel fuel, strongly absorbs the ultraviolet light near the fourth harmonic (266 nm) of a Nd:YAG laser but is nearly transparent to the visible light near the second harmonic (532 nm) of a Nd:YAG laser. Therefore, droplets and vapor distributions in a Diesel spray can be visualized by an imaging system that uses a Nd:YAG laser as the incident light and 1,3-dimethylnaphthalene as the test fuel. For a quantitative application consideration, the absorption coefficients of dimethylnapthalene vapor at different temperatures and pressures were examined with an optical spectrometer. The findings of this study suggest that this imaging technique has great promise for simultaneously obtaining quantitative information of droplet density and vapor concentration in Diesel fuel spray. 相似文献

Pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), induce the expression of intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) by activating the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) signaling pathway. In the present study, we found that cucurbitacin B decreased the expression of ICAM-1 in human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells stimulated with TNF-α or interleukin-1α. We further investigated the mechanisms by which cucurbitacin B down-regulates TNF-α-induced ICAM-1 expression. Cucurbitacin B inhibited the nuclear translocation of the NF-κB subunit RelA and the phosphorylation of IκBα in A549 cells stimulated with TNF-α. Cucurbitacin B selectively down-regulated the expression of TNF receptor 1 (TNF-R1) without affecting three adaptor proteins (i.e., TRADD, RIPK1, and TRAF2). The TNF-α-converting enzyme inhibitor suppressed the down-regulation of TNF-R1 expression by cucurbitacin B. Glutathione, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, and, to a lesser extent, L-cysteine attenuated the inhibitory effects of cucurbitacin B on the TNF-α-induced expression of ICAM-1, suggesting that an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl moiety is essential for anti-inflammatory activity. The present results revealed that cucurbitacin B down-regulated the expression of TNF-R1 at the initial step in the TNF-α-dependent NF-κB signaling pathway. 相似文献

Online flexible operation of a car-like mobile vehicle with non-holonomic constraints in dynamic environment is still a very challenging problem because the surrounding situations are not qualified in static, knowledge is only partial and the execution is often associated with uncertainty. The difficulty lies in the setting of appropriate moving sub-targets in real-time to obtain a collision-free and low-cost path. In this paper, we present a new approach for the autonomous motion control of mobile vehicle in a narrow area with static and dynamic obstacles. It is based on the selection of sub-target points of vehicle's movement called ‘soft target’ which is a target set defined as all possible and reachable via-points in a navigation space. The soft target is acquired by online learning based on the final target and environment information. Each element of it has its membership value in [0, 1] denoting its evaluation degree. With the acquired soft target, soft decision is made like human's decision process by predictive fuzzy control (PFC) to achieve final target safely and economically. In fiber‐reinforced plastic materials, the fiber volume fraction is one of the most important parameters, and it strongly influences the composite properties. However, it is hard to improve impregnation and the fiber volume fraction in fiber‐reinforced thermoplastics because thermoplastic resins have high melt viscosities. This study explored a reformative solution impregnation method for molding fabric‐reinforced thermoplastic composites with a high fiber volume fraction. The fiber volume fraction was significantly increased, to 60%, which is equal to that of fiber‐reinforced thermosetting plastic materials. A comparison indicated that a fiber‐reinforced thermoplastic and a fiber‐reinforced thermosetting plastic with the same reinforcing fiber had similar tensile properties and that the proposed molding method is effective in thermoplastic composite manufacture. Fault current limiters (FCLs) are expected to reduce fault current and improve stability of power systems. A flat type fault current limiter consisting of the pancake primary winding and a high‐Tc superconducting (HTS) disk was proposed as a modified version of a conventional magnetic shield type of the FCL with the superconducting cylinder. The flat type FCL has the advantage of being manufactured smaller than the cylinder type FCL. It is pointed out, from a magnetic field analysis, that the volume of the flat type FCL is smaller than that of the cylinder type FCL with same magnitude of the limiting inductance. Further, the magnetic field analysis suggests that a high inductance ratio can be realized by radially enlarging both the primary winding and the HTS disk, stacking the FCL modules in layers and sandwiching the primary winding with superconducting disks. © 2006 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
