Low-cost modular system of machine-to-computer communication for a flexible machining cell

Cranfield Robotics and Automation Group (CRAG) in collaboration with Texas Instruments (UK) manufacturing systems research group has built a flexible machining cell and established computer integrated manufacturing support facilities to demonstrate a low-cost, modular system of machine-to-computer communication.     

Effects of design parameters on geared two-link mechanisms

The design of a specialized agricultural harvesting machine required the use of a path generation mechanism that was compact, accurate, inexpensive to manufacture and difficult attempts involved the use of a cam and follower, but they were expensive to manufacture and difficult to operate. This paper discusses an alternative method of using a coupled, open loop, two-link mechanism to generate a polygon-like closed path (pseudo-polygon) with an integer number of curved sides and apexes. A complete development of the path and path curvaturei equations are presented. The influence of the design variables on the coupler shape (flatness of each side) is shown in equation and design chart form. An example of a successful application of this design method applied to a plant cutting mechanism is presented.

本文基于测速反馈原理，针对二阶系统提出了两种改变系统阻尼的方法。通过适当改变测速反馈系数，可使闭环系统的阻尼比按期望的规律变化（阻尼比可以为负），从而可显著地加快系统的输出响应，使系统的动态性能大为改善。文中提供了仿真算例。     

用离子束混合及快速热处理方法形成钽的硅化物

本文描述用离子束透过钽金属膜进行混合和快速热处理方法来形成钽的硅化物.用溅射方法在P型硅衬底上淀积一层金属钽,然后用砷离子束透过钽金属模进行混合,采用快速热处理后形成了平整的硅化钽薄层.使用厚度为500埃的钽金属膜,得到钽的硅化物薄层电阻为5.5Ω/□.研究了砷离子能量、剂量及钽膜厚度对钽的硅化物薄层电阻的影响.用透射电镜和台阶仪对所形成的硅化钽进行了分析和厚度测量.     

Bridging process and structure through criteria

Scholars in design face two central challenges in design methods inquiry: firstly, to integrate process and solution, and secondly, to examine developmental junctures leading to innovation. With these goals in mind, we maintain that design criteria deserve greater attention and illustrate this position with a study of noted designers' use of criteria. The primary finding was that five criteria functions were considered during the design process. The study also explored potential relationships between designer variables (i.e., professional expertise and personality type) and criteria use.

本文主要讨论了氨基磺酸系高性能减水剂的合成过程及后期混凝土试验情况。通过对反应温度、反应时间、溶液浓度和酸碱度、投料顺序及速度、第四单体的选择等反应条件的控制,合成具有最佳分子结构的最终产物,并通过红外光谱图和核磁共振谱图对合成主产物的分子结构进行了验证。同时,大量的混凝土试验说明氨基磺酸高性能减水剂具有优良的保坍性能。
