In this work, the construction of electrochemical capacitors using polyaniline–carbon black nanocomposites as electrode material is described. Symmetric and asymmetric cells were assembled. The active material was supported on carbon cloth acting as current collector as well. The electrolyte was H2SO4 0.5 M, and the selected potential range was 1 V. The electrochemical behavior of the arrayed supercapacitors was studied by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge runs. At a constant current density of 0.3 A/g, a specific capacitance value of 1039 F/g was obtained for a symmetric assembly using both electrodes prepared with polyaniline and carbon black nanocomposites. When the set is asymmetric, being the positive electrode made of polyaniline and carbon black nanocomposites, the specific capacitance value is 1534 F/g. For the latter array, the specific power and energy density values are 300 W/kg and 426 Wh/kg at 0.3 A/g, and 13 700 W/kg and 28 Wh/kg at 13.7 A/g. These results suggest a good capacity of fast energy transfer. Moreover, this asymmetric supercapacitor demonstrated a high stability over 1000 cycles being the loss of only 5%. This paper contributes to the literature on the factors explaining the regional university production of science and its quality in the field of Food Science and Technology (FS&T). We hypothesized that the regional quantity of science generated by universities is shaped not only by the amount of research and development (R&D) funds, as the main mainstream literature suggests, but also by the demand for science at the regional level. Furthermore, given the evolutionary nature of knowledge production, we suggest that the number of publications has a significant effect on the quality of scientific research at the regional level. Drawing on a sample of 48,207 scientific papers in FS&T over the period 1998–2010, we first map and examine the regional distribution of science and its quality across Europe-15. Second, we address our hypotheses by specifying several econometric models to identify the factors affecting the quantity and quality of scientific production. Our results show that the regional demand for FS&T—captured by the regional employment in the food and beverage industry—matters for the generation of science. Additionally, our findings support the hypothesis of a positive and significant effect of the production of papers on the scientific quality at the regional level.  相似文献

In this work, we provide a new and constructive outlook for the control of state‐and‐input constrained nonlinear systems. Previously, explicit solutions have been mainly focused on the finding of a barrier‐like Lyapunov function, whereas we propose the construction of a diffeomorphism to map all the trajectories of the constrained dynamics into an unconstrained one. Careful analysis has revealed that only some foundations of differential geometry and a technical assumption are necessary to construct the proposed methodology based on the well‐established theories of control Lyapunov functions and Sontag's universal formulae. Altogether, it allows us to obtain an explicit solution that even includes bounded constraints in the control action, giving the designer a way to decide (to some extent) the trade‐off between control saturations and robustness. Moreover, this approach does not rely on the own structure of the system dynamics, therefore covering a broad class of nonlinear systems. The main advantage of this approach is that the use of a diffeomorphism allows the splitting of the mathematical treatment of the constraint and the Lyapunov controller design. The result has been successfully applied to solve the dynamic positioning of an actual ship, where the nonlinear state constraints describe a strait. This approach enabled us to design a control Lyapunov function and thereby use Sontag's formula to solve the stabilisation problem. Realistic simulations have been executed in a real scenario on the simulator owned by an international shipbuilding company.  相似文献

This study goes on with the microstructural and electrical characterization of the films, object of our study, containing hydrogenated poly(butadiene‐styrene) block copolymer (HSBS). Ethylene–propylene terpolymer (EPDM), and a third component, polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), or silica, crosslinked with peroxides and heterogeneously sulfonated. This process pursues the obtaining of materials with high proton conductivity and great dimensional stability, suited for application in a variety of electronic devices. The structural characterization consists of the study of the dynamic mechanical properties of all the samples, before and after the sulfonation, and also the checking of their structure by infrared spectroscopy. Herein a method is described to prepare photocurable thermally-conductive shape memory epoxy/ graphene composites. By photopolymerizing the epoxy resin diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A with an allyl-functionalized ditertiary amine as the curing agent, jointly with a multifunctional thiol, a crosslinked polyether-polythioether co-network was obtained. The presence of a soft domain like the flexible polythioethers enable the co-network to display shape memory properties. By varying the polyether to polythioether ratio it was possible to modulate the shape memory characteristics of the composite. The effect of the concentration of graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) in the composite was also investigated. Shape memory performances revealed excellent values of shape recovery and shape fixity with maximums of 98 and 99% respectively. The temporary- shaped composites with higher concentration of polythioethers and GNP regained their permanent shapes in 2–3 s when heated above the programming temperature. The thermal conductivity in the composites reached 0.39 W/m°K for the composite with 15% w/w of GNP. The presence of the polythioethers in the co-network enhanced the toughness of the composite as revealed by the impact resistance analysis.  相似文献

The lead‐free (1?x)Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3x(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3 system is considered as promising candidate for the replacement of lead‐based piezoceramics in actuation applications, during which electric fatigue is a major concern. This issue was addressed in this work, where the unipolar fatigue resistance of three (1?x)Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3x(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3 compositions with different crystallographic structures (rhombohedral, orthorhombic, and tetragonal) was evaluated. Strain asymmetry and development of an internal bias field were observed in all compositions. The decrease in the remanent polarization and the large signal piezoelectric coefficient after 107 unipolar cycles was found to lie between 6%‐12% and 2%‐13%, respectively. The most pronounced fatigue was observed for the orthorhombic composition, which has the largest extrinsic contribution to strain. On the other hand, the best fatigue resistance was observed for the tetragonal composition, which has a predominantly intrinsic strain response. The correlation of fatigue resistance with strain mechanism was corroborated with determination of the Rayleigh parameters and changes in the domain morphology after cycling as confirmed by piezoresponse force microscopy.  相似文献

Problems stemming from quantitative phase imaging from intensity measurements play a key role in many fields of physics. Techniques based on the transport of intensity equation require an estimate of the axial derivative of the intensity to invert the problem. Derivation formulas in two adjacent planes are commonly used to experimentally compute the derivative of the irradiance. Here we propose a formula that improves the estimate of the derivative by using a higher number of planes and taking the noisy nature of the measurements into account. We also establish an upper and lower limit for the estimate error and provide the distance between planes that optimizes the estimate of the derivative.  相似文献

An Application of a Neural Self-Tuning Controller to an Overhead Crane   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A neural network-based self-tuning controller is presented. The scheme of the controller is based on using a multilayer perceptron, or a set of them, as a self-tuner for a controller. The method proposed has the advantage that it is not necessary to use a combined structure of identification and decision, common in a standard self-tuning controller. The paper explains the algorithm for a general case, and then a specific application on a nonlinear plant is presented. The plant is an overhead crane which involves an interesting control problem related to the oscillations of the load mass. The method proposed is tested by simulation in different conditions. A comparison was made with a conventional controller to evaluate the efficiency of the algorithm.  相似文献

This study investigates the fatigue life of CrMo pressure vessels for hydrogen storage by hydraulic and hydrogen pressure cycle tests. Two different sized cylinders have been tested; 35 L inner volume and 28 MPa working pressure (WP) and 198 L volume and 41 MPa WP. On the inner surface of the cylinders U-shaped notches of different depths were machined by electro discharge machining technique. The initial notch sizes were designed based on a two stage fatigue predictive model based on fracture mechanics to develop through wall cracks in the deepest notches after about 50,000 hydraulic cycles together with crack propagation of the intermediate notches and crack initiation in the smallest. The cylinders were cycled between the nominal pressure of 2 MPa and the WP until leak before break (LBB). Strain gauges were placed at the external surface of the cylinders in correspondence of the internally machined notches. On the notches which developed through wall, the strain showed a progressive decrease followed by an increase of the hoop strain during the final stage of crack propagation until LBB failure. Hydrogen effect was clearly identified by the reduction in the number of cycles to failure comparing tests in hydrogen and in oil. Subsequent failure analysis at the end of each test revealed a typical trans-granular fatigue crack surface morphology (with fatigue striations) for tests in oil, while quasi cleavage and intergranular fracture appearance were found for hydrogen tests.  相似文献

The coupled transport of copper(II) ions through a supported liquid membrane containing LIX 984 as the mobile carrier dissolved in kerosene has been studied. Many commercial membrane supports were investigated at different stirrer speeds in a permeation cell. An equation describing the permeation rate has been derived, taking into account stagnant layer aqueous diffusion and liquid membrane diffusion. By means of this treatment the copper overall transfer resistance and the experimental determination of the effective porosity factor (ε/τ), for each support have been performed. The Accurel® 2E-PP membrane showed a relatively high value of ε/τ (0·91), which makes this membrane an adequate support when the transport properties of the supported liquid membrane are concerned. © 1998 SCI  相似文献
