This paper examines the impact of SiGe HBT scaling on 1/f noise and phase noise of oscillators and frequency synthesizers. The increase of transistor speed with scaling is shown to significantly increase the sensitivity of oscillation frequency to 1/f noise and, thus, degrade close-in phase noise, but decrease the sensitivity of oscillation frequency to base current shot noise and base resistance thermal noises. The results show that corner offset frequency defined by the intersect of the 1/f3 and 1/f2 phase noise has little to do with the traditional 1/f corner frequency. The relative importance of individual noise sources in determining phase noise is examined as a function of technology scaling, device sizing, and oscillation frequency. The collector current shot noise and base resistance noise are shown to set the fundamental limits of phase noise reduction. A fundamental problem in quality-of-service (QoS) routing is to find a path between a source-destination node pair that satisfies two or more end-to-end QoS constraints. We model this problem using a graph with n vertices and m edges with K additive QoS parameters associated with each edge, for any constant Kges2. This problem is known to be NP-hard. Fully polynomial time approximation schemes (FPTAS) for the case of K=2 have been reported in the literature. We concentrate on the general case and make the following contributions. 1) We present a very simple (Km+nlogn) time K-approximation algorithm that can be used in hop-by-hop routing protocols. 2) We present an FPTAS for one optimization version of the QoS routing problem with a time complexity of O(m(n/epsi)K-1). 3) We present an FPTAS for another optimization version of the QoS routing problem with a time complexity of O(nlogn+m(H/epsi)K-1) when there exists an H-hop path satisfying all QoS constraints. When K is reduced to 2, our results compare favorably with existing algorithms. The results of this paper hold for both directed and undirected graphs. There are many ways to use the inductor current of a PWM converter as part of its feedback control mechanism. A simple and widely used method is peak current-mode control which uses the instantaneous inductor current as part of the control signals. Charge control is a special type of current-mode control. It uses the integration of the on-time inductor current as the feedback control signal. The characteristics of charge control are studied. A complete small-signal analysis is performed for the control scheme. Subharmonic oscillation similar to that of peak current-mode control is found, and the relationship between subharmonic oscillation and the line/load condition of charge control is defined. In two-dimensional optical waveguides with the varied refractive index, approximate analytic solutions of the leaky modes are derived by using an asymptotic analysis for both transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) modes. Numerical simulations show that the asymptotic solutions of the leaky modes are quite close to the exact ones. We propose a unique all-fiber Q-switched erbium-doped fiber ring laser. It consists of a phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and an apodized FBG reflector. By using the piezoelectric transducer (PZT) to periodically stretch the apodized FBG and detune it with the phases-shifted FBG, the cavity loss of the fiber ring laser is switched between high and low states to achieve Q-switching. This Q-switched fiber laser has advantages of narrow spectral bandwidth, stable oscillation wavelength, and the repetition rate of the Q-switched pulses can be double of the PZT modulation frequency. A numerical model is developed and presented to simulate and analyze this FBGs-based Q-switched fiber ring laser with consideration of the dynamic response of FBGs during Q-switching. We experimentally demonstrate 10 and 20 kHz Q-switching operation with 10 kHz PZT modulation frequency. The experimental result is similar to the simulation result. 相似文献

Key escrow is inherent in identity based encryption (IBE) since it was first put forward by Shamir. A key generation center (KGC) or private key generator is in charge of generating the user’s secret key, therefore a malicious one can decrypt any ciphertext without being found. This paper introduces a new scheme to eliminate key escrow from IBE. This scheme is based on the security concept of anonymous ciphertext indistinguishability against key generation center (ACI-KGC) which is introduced by Chow. We equip the Boneh and Franklin IBE (BF-IBE) and Gentry-IBE with our scheme and give the security analysis to show the accuracy and the security of it. In contrast to Chow’s scheme, to generate the secret key, our approach does not require the interactive protocol which brings about much extra costs. 相似文献
