A semiempirical equation for temperature dependences of photoelectric parameters of a-Si: H solar cells

A semiempirical equation for the temperature dependences of the photoelectric parameters of a-Si: H solar cells is derived to explain the experimental results. Based on a comparison of the calculation results and experimental data, it is shown that the nonideality coefficient of the CVC of solar cells exhibits a weak temperature dependence.     

Hardening of Rods by High-Frequency Current

Russian Engineering Research - Improvement in the wear resistance of plunger-pump rods is considered. Hardening by high-frequency current is proposed.     

Phase Diagrams of the Systems CuBiS<Subscript>2</Subscript>-LnBiS<Subscript>3</Subscript> (Ln = La,Nd)

Phase relations in the CuBiS₂-LaBiS₃ and CuBiS₂-NdBiS₃ systems were studied for the first time using physicochemical analysis, and the T-x phase diagrams of these systems were constructed. Both systems contain quaternary compounds with the Cu₂LnBi₃S₇ stoichiometry, which melt incongruently at 815 and 910 K, respectively. Cu₂LaBi₃S₇ and Cu₂NdBi₃S₇ are isostructural with one another and crystallize in orthorhombic symmetry. The lattice parameters of Cu₂LaBi₃S₇ are a = 14.66 Å, b = 21.60 Å, and c = 4.12 Å, and those of Cu₂NdBi₃S₇ are a = 14.60 Å, b = 21.56 Å, and c = 4.10 Å.     

CaGa<Subscript>2</Subscript>Se<Subscript>4</Subscript>–GaSe system

The phase relations in the CaGa₂S₄–GaSe system have been studied using differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, microstructural analysis, microhardness tests, and density measurements, and its T–x phase diagram has been mapped out. The CaGa₂S₄–GaSe system has been shown to be a pseudobinary join of the ternary system Ca–Ga–Se. The CaGa₂S₄–GaSe system has been found to contain limited solid solutions based on the constituent selenides. The electrical conductivity of CaGa₂S₄ has been measured and its current–light behavior and photoelectric properties have been studied.     

Characteristics of Tars in Crude Oils from the Nizhnekurinsk Region of The South Caspian Basin

The crude oil deposits in the Nizhnekurinsk region of Azerbaidzhan have been developed for approximately 60 years. They now represent 38% of the annual oil production for continental deposits in the Republic. In addition, this region has enormous resources for residual industrial and promising oil and gas reserves [1]. However, exhaustive chemical studies of crudes from this region only began in recent years [2,3].     

Waves in charged thin plates

The spectrum of bending waves of a thin conducting plate bearing an electric charge is investigated. It is proved that there exists a critical value of the field upon exceeding which bending instability of the plate occurs.
