A simple digitally programmable oscillator (DPO) based on a two-integrator loop is described. A simple experimental model for signal processing/generation (e.g., frequency shift keying, amplitude shift keying, phase shift keying/binary phase shift keying) useful in digital communication has been derived from the DPO by employing a microprocessor. Regression refers to the problem of approximating measured data that are assumed to be produced by an underlying, possibly noisy function. However, in real applications the assumption that the data represent samples from one function is sometimes wrong. For instance, in process control different strategies might be used to achieve the same goal. Any regression model, trying to fit such data as good as possible, must fail, since it can only find an intermediate compromise between the different strategies by which the data were produced. To tackle this problem, an approach is proposed here to detect ambiguities in regression problems by selecting a subset of data from the total data set using TSK models, which work in parallel by sharing the data with each other in every step. The proposed approach is verified with artificial data, and finally utilised to real data of grinding, a manufacturing process used to generate smooth surfaces on work pieces.  相似文献

We have investigated laser action in a binary mixture of dyes, Rh-6G and DCM, resulting in tunable laser emission over an extended frequency region. The two dyes absorb the same pump radiation but fluoresce over frequency ranges that are shifted with respect to each other, thereby resulting in extended tunability. Following a time-dependent analysis of a rate-equation model that describe the operation of such a laser, theoretical estimates for optimum dye concentrations and the corresponding extension of the laser tuning range have been obtained.  相似文献

Nowadays the increasing interest to perform machining operations is in dry/near-dry environments. The reason includes health and safety of operator, cost, ease of chip recyclability, etc. However one important process, which is difficult to perform in dry, is drilling. Without coolant, drilling leads to excessive thermal distortion and poor tool life. In order to tackle these conflicting requirements, the essentiality of study on machining performances with minimum quantity lubricant (MQL) becomes important.Fuzzy logic rules, which are derived based on fuzzy set theory, are used to develop fuzzy rule based model (FRBM). The performance of FRBM depends on two different aspects: structures of fuzzy rules and the associated fuzzy sets (membership function distributions, MFDs). The aim of this study is to investigate the performances of FRBMs based on Mamdani and TSK-types of fuzzy logic rules with different shapes of MFDs for prediction and performance analysis of machining with MQL in drilling of aluminum alloy. A comparison of the model predictions with experimental results and those published in the literature shows that FRBM with TSK-type fuzzy rules describes excellent trade-off with experimental measurements.  相似文献

In-mold assembly can be used to create plastic products with articulated joints. This process eliminates the need for post-molding assembly and reduces the number of parts being used in the product, hence improving the product quality. However, designing both products and molds is significantly more challenging in case of in-mold assembly. Currently, a systematic methodology does not exist for developing product and processes to exploit potential benefits of in-mold assembly for creating articulated joints. This paper is a step towards creating such a methodology and reports the following three results. First, it presents a model for designing assemblies and molding process so that the joint clearances and variation in the joint clearances can meet the performance goals. Second, it describes proven mold design templates for realizing revolute, prismatic, and spherical joints. Third, it describes a mold design methodology for designing molds for products that contain articulated joints and will be produced using in-mold assembly process. Three case studies are also presented to illustrate how in-mold assembly process can be used to create articulated devices.  相似文献

Fresh-cut jackfruit bulbs were evaluated for quality changes as effect of an additive pretreatment with CaCl2, ascorbic acid, citric acid, and sodium benzoate followed by chitosan coating. Different types of samples such as pretreated and coated, only pretreated, only coated, and untreated were subjected to controlled atmosphere (CA) storage (3 kPa O2?+?6 or 3 kPa CO2; N2 balance) or normal air at 6 °C. CA conditions, pretreatment, as well as chitosan coating in synergy with each other, could significantly minimize the loss in total phenolics and ascorbic acid content of the samples to the levels of around 5% and 17%, respectively, during extended storage up to 50 days. Chitosan coating could also restrict the changes in microbial load. The CA condition of 3 kPa O2?+?6 kPa CO2 was found to render higher efficacy in retaining quality attributes of the samples.  相似文献

The present study investigates the hydrocarbon generative potential of the coal seams of Barka Sayal Area of South Karanpura Coalfield, India, using petrological and geochemical characteristics. These coals are vitrinite rich followed by liptinite and inertinite. Rank wise these are sub-bituminous ‘A’ to high volatile bituminous ‘C’ and fall in the early catagenesis stage of evolution. The presence of Type III kerogen and high hydrogen index value indicates excellent gaseous hydrocarbon generative potential, but low Tmax suggests a characteristic of immature source rock. The calculated high conversion (%) and sufficient oil yield (%) justifies the suitability of these coals for liquefaction processes.  相似文献

This article deals with sensor coverage scheduling in wireless sensor networks subject to Q-coverage constraints. The main concern is to maximize the network lifetime, while ensuring that each target is covered by a given number of sensors. Three different variations of this problem are considered. Column generation based exact approaches are developed for those problems where the auxiliary problem is solved by a two-level approach comprising a genetic algorithm and an integer linear programming formulation. The genetic algorithm takes advantage of the auxiliary problem structure and appears to be very efficient at providing the master problem with attractive columns. The auxiliary problem integer linear programming (ILP) formulation is then mostly used for proving the optimality status of the current master problem solution. The proposed approaches are shown to be significantly faster than column generation approaches relying only on the auxiliary problem ILP formulation.  相似文献

Gelatin-g-poly(ethyl acrylate) copolymers were prepared in an aqueous medium, using K2S2O8 initiator. The composition of the graft copolymers was dependent upon temperature and duration of the reaction. The number of grafting sites was small and molecular weight of the grafted poly(ethyl acrylate) branches was high. Three copolymer samples with grafting efficiencies of 33.3%, 61.0%, and 84.0%, were tested for their microbial susceptibility in a synthetic medium employing a mixed inoculum of Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Serratia marcescens and the percent weight losses were 12%, 10.1%, and 6.0%, respectively, after 6 weeks of incubation. The extent of degradation seems to decrease with increasing grafting efficiency. There was initial rapid weight loss accompanied by the exponential increase in bacterial population and pH of the culture medium during the first week. The nitrogen analysis also showed the utilization of the polymer. A parallel set of experiments, carried out by employing the samples as the only source of both carbon and nitrogen, showed a marginal but definite increase in the utilization of the polymer.  相似文献

1-Nitro-3,3'-dinitroazetidine (TNAZ) was synthesized based on the lines of reported method. Thermolysis studies on synthesized and characterized TNAZ using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and hyphenated TG-FT-IR techniques were undertaken to generate data on decomposition pattern. FT-IR of decomposition products of TNAZ revealed the evolution of oxides of nitrogen and HCN containing species suggesting the cleavage of C/N-NO(2) bond accompanied with the collapse of ring structure. The effect of incorporation of 15% additives namely, 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (AT), 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole (DAT), carbohydrazide (CHZ), 5,7-dinitrobenzofuroxan (DNBF), bis (2,2-dinitropropyl) succinate (BNPS), triaminoguanidinium nitrate (TAGN), 2,4,6-trinitrobenzoic acid (TNBA) and nitroguanidine (NQ) on the volatility of TNAZ was investigated by undertaking thermogravimetric analysis. The TG pattern brings out the potential of BNPS and TAGN as additives to mitigate the volatility of TNAZ. The influence of additives on thermal decomposition of pattern of TNAZ was also investigated by DSC. The DSC results indicated that the additives did not have appreciable effect on the melting point of TNAZ. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) studies were carried out to investigate the effect of additives on morphology of TNAZ. This paper also discusses the possible mechanism involved in between the TNAZ and TAGN and BNPS. It appears that the formation of charge transfer complex formation between the TNAZ and TAGN/BNPS. The effect of addition of high explosives such as CL-20, HMX and RDX on thermo-physical characteristics of TNAZ is also reported in this paper.  相似文献
