The charge-transfer complexes of chloranil as acceptor component, with p-phenylene diamine and p-ethoxyaniline as donors have been studied in methyl alcohol by conductometric measurements. The stoichiometry of charge transfer complexes has been determined from the position of the conductivity maximum obtained during the titration of donor solution with acceptor solution. The stoichiometry of the p-phenylene diamine—chloranil is 3:2 and that of the p-ethoxyaniline—chloranil is 1:2. The molar conductivity coefficients for all these systems at temperatures 20°, 25°, 30°, 35° and 40°C have been calculated, and are found to increase with increase in temperature in all the systems studied here. 相似文献

Butyraldehyde is an important chemical for many industrial applications, especially in the production of polyvinylbutyral. A systematic study of its synthesis by catalytic dehydrogenation of butanol, using zinc oxide as catalyst has been carried out. The effect of the method of preparation of zinc oxide on its catalytic activity for the title reaction has also been studied. The optimum conditions for maximum yield have been worked out and on the basis of secondary electron micrograms the reasons for higher activity/selectivity in the case of zinc oxide calcined from zinc hydroxide is attributed to the presence of hexagonal morphology. The aim of this study was to investigate the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of chitosan, EDTA, eugenol and peppermint essential oil and their effect on color and oxidative stability of chicken noodles stored at 35 ± 2 °C. Results indicated that among the four preservatives, eugenol treatment exhibited higher ABTS+ (2-2-azinobis-3ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) radical cation activity (89.54%), DPPH (1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazil) (51.30%) and superoxide anion scavenging activity (66.82%). Total polyphenol content was also higher in eugenol treated samples. The samples treated with eugenol and chitosan protect against an increase lightness (L-value) and decrease in redness (a) and yellowness (b) values during storage. However, pH value was highest in noodles with chitosan treatment while TBARS (2-thiobarbituric acid reacting substances) and FFA (Free fatty acids) contents were lowest in noodles with eugenol irrespective of storage periods. Eugenol treatment also showed positive impact on microbiological quality and sensory attributes. In conclusion, eugenol has more potential as a natural preservative to increase shelf-life of chicken noodles. 相似文献

Volatile aroma compounds were isolated from pomegranate arils by high vacuum distillation (HVD) and solvent extraction with diethyl ether. The HVD distillate exhibited a fresh-fruity and characteristic pomegranate aroma while the total ether extract was devoid of this note in its concentrate. Gas chromatography–mass spectroscopy (GC–MS) analysis revealed the presence of 3-octen-1-yl acetate, trans-3-hexen-1-ol, hexanol and 2-methyl pentanol only in the high vacuum distillate. Ether extract was dominated by 2-heptanol, 2-nonanol and 3-methyl-2-butanol. Based on olfactometric analysis of the HVD isolate, 3-octen-1-yl acetate was identified as the key odorant of pomegranate. Chemical synthesis of this compound, further confirmed its structure. Among the bound aroma compounds, 2-phenylethanol (40%), alpha-terpineol (4.53%) and 2-heptanol (6.35%) were identified as the major compounds existing as glycoconjugates. Identification of the character impact compound and the occurrence of glycosidic precursors in pomegranate are being reported here for the first time. 相似文献

In the present study, storage proteins from five different wheat cultivars were extracted, fractionated and evaluated for their accumulation at different stages of development. SDS–PAGE analysis revealed that the accumulation of high molecular weight glutenin subunits was cultivar and stage dependent. However, low molecular weight glutenin subunits’ accumulation was not altered significantly after 16 days post anthesis in any of the cultivars. The rheological parameters (storage- and loss-modulus) of dough and gluten showed close association with either gliadins or glutenins. Peptidyl prolyl cis–trans isomerase (PPIase) activity, measured at different stages of grains development, showed variability with both the developmental stage and cultivar, and appeared to be primarily due to cyclophilins. Principal component analysis revealed the association of PPIase activity with either gliadin or total proteins, suggesting their significant role in the deposition of storage proteins in wheat. 相似文献
