The Mann-Whitney (MW) statistic is one of the most recommended two-sample statistical tests when the assumption of normality fails to hold due to its robustness and fascinating properties especially when small sample sizes are involved. In order to improve the sensitivity of the generally weighted moving average (GWMA) monitoring scheme toward the detection of large shifts, in this paper, a new distribution-free phase II composite Shewhart-GWMA (CSG) scheme is proposed using the MW U statistic. The performance of the proposed scheme is investigated using the average run-length (ARL) and average extra quadratic loss (AEQL) values through extensive simulations. The performance of this newly proposed monitoring scheme is found to be superior when compared to numerous memory-type MW schemes (some existing and others introduced in this paper) in many situations. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the implementation of the CSG MW U scheme using real-life data. 相似文献
In most applications, parametric monitoring schemes are used to monitor the majority of industrial and nonindustrial processes in order to improve the quality of the outputs or services. However, parametric monitoring schemes are known to underperform when the normality assumption is not met or when there is not enough information about the symmetry or asymmetry nature of the process underlying distribution. Hence, in this paper, a new nonparametric Phase II Shewhart-type double-sampling (DS) monitoring scheme based on the precedence statistic is proposed in order to efficiently monitor quality processes when the underlying process distribution departs from normality. The performance is investigated using the average run length (ARL), standard deviation of the run length (SDRL), expected ARL (EARL) and expected average number of observations to signal (EANOS), and the average sample sizes (ASS) metrics. The latter metrics are computed using Monte Carlo simulation and exact formulae. In general, it is shown that the new DS precedence scheme outperforms the existing basic Shewhart precedence scheme with and without supplementary runs rules in many situations. A real-life illustrative example based on a filling process of milk bottles is provided to demonstrate the application and implementation of the new DS precedence monitoring scheme. 相似文献
A new control chart, namely, modified exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control chart, for monitoring the process variance is introduced in this work by following the recommendations of Khan et al.15 The proposed control chart deduces the existing charts to be its special cases. The necessary coefficients, which are required for the construction of modified EWMA chart, are determined for various choices of sample sizes and smoothing constants. The performance of the proposed modified EWMA is evaluated in terms of its run length (RL) characteristics such as average RL and standard deviation of RL. The efficiency of the modified EWMA chart is investigated and compared with some existing control charts. The comparison reveals the superiority of proposal as compared with other control charts in terms of early detection of shift in process variation. The application of the proposal is also demonstrated using a real-life dataset. 相似文献

This article concerns the event-triggered fuzzy filter design for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems subject to deception attacks under the stochastic multiple time-varying delays. A sequence of random variables, which are mutually independent but obey the Bernoulli distribution, is introduced to account for the randomly occurring communication delays. In order to efficiently utilize limited network communication bandwidth resources, the event-triggering scheme is adopted. A fuzzy filter with the attacked input signal is presented. Moreover, due to communication delays caused by event-triggering schemes and transmission, the filter adopts non-synchronous premise variables with the system. Then, by utilizing a model transformation technique, the fuzzy systems are developed. Furthermore, using the piecewise Lyapunov functional method technique, the resulting criterion provides sufficient conditions to ensure that fuzzy systems under deception attacks are stochastically stable with an H∞ performance. Accordingly, the conditions for the co-design of the fuzzy filter and event-triggering schemes are given. Finally, numerical simulation with the industrial process provided to verify the proposed event-triggered design. 相似文献
In this paper, the impact of varying path loss exponent (PLE) on user association probability, decoupled uplink coverage probability as well as decoupled uplink average spectral efficiency in downlink uplink decoupled (DUDe) multi-tier heterogeneous networks, is investigated. We investigate the effect of the difference in path loss exponents in both macro and small cell environments over uplink network performance. It is assumed that the mobile user connected to the macro base station experience different path loss exponent as compared to when connected to small base station. It is observed that the difference of path loss exponents in both cases has significant effect on the user association probability, decoupled uplink coverage probability as well as decoupled uplink average spectral efficiency. Moreover, in order to further support key findings and make sound comparison between coupled and DUDe performance in varying PLE environment, generalized analytical expressions for coupled association probabilities, along with coupled uplink coverage probability and coupled uplink average spectral efficiency have been derived. The analytical results evaluated in this paper are compared with the computer simulation and found in good agreement. Our analysis shows that decoupling technique performs suboptimal for cases where the environments around macro and small base stations are different with respect to each other. The work explained in this paper highlights the limitation of applying DUDe technique in realistic conditions where the PLEs of cellular tiers are not exactly equal to one another.
This article presents a 12‐bit frequency coded chipless RFID system in the frequency range of 3 to 6 GHz. The system consists of a fully printable chipless tag and a pair of high‐gain reader antennas. The tag also incorporates its own antennas to improve the read range. Information is encoded into frequency spectrum using a multi‐resonant circuit. The circuit consists of multiple microstrip U and L‐shaped open stub resonators patterned in a unique configuration. The proposed configuration aids in capturing more data in a reduced space as well as tunable frequency operation. Tag and reader antennas utilize techniques such as stepped impedance feeding line, defective partial ground plane, and stair‐step patch structure to achieve wide‐band impedance bandwidth in miniature size. The results of the wireless measurements in the non‐anechoic environment show that the proposed system has a reading range of more than 20 cm. The presented system possesses great potential for low‐cost short‐range inventory tracking. 相似文献

This paper focuses on the design of H∞ filter and event-triggered scheme for a class of continuous non-linear networked control systems (NCSs) based on fuzzy system appeared with time delays. First, we consider the discrete event-triggered (ET) scheme to make efficient utilisation of bandwidth. Under this ET-scheme, sensor releases the data only when our sampled-data plant violates the specific event-triggered condition. Second, the T-S fuzzy system is used to model the non-linear NCSs. Another purpose of this paper is to design filters involving delays. Such filters have a more general form than the delay-free filters that have been mostly considered in the traditional studies. By using the time-delay system, co-design of event-triggered scheme and H∞ filter for the delayed NCSs is presented in a unified frame work. To choose the latest data packet and discard the dis-ordered packet logic, zero-order hold is inserted between the fuzzy filter and event generator. Then, by using the novel fuzzy Lyapunov–Krasovskii function approach with free-weighting matrix technique, H∞ filter design of event-triggered delay NCSs is proposed. Finally, to show the effective result of our co-design method, a tunnel-diode example is given. 相似文献
Remote medical diagnosis can be realized by using the Internet, but when transmitting medical images of patients through the Internet, personal information of patients may be leaked. Aim at the security of medical information system and the protection of medical images, a novel robust zero-watermarking based on SIFT-DCT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform-Discrete Cosine Transform) for medical images in the encrypted domain is proposed. Firstly, the original medical image is encrypted in transform domain based on Logistic chaotic sequence to enhance the concealment of original medical images. Then, the SIFT-DCT is used to extract the feature sequences of encrypted medical images. Next, zero-watermarking technology is used to ensure that the region of interest of medical images are not changed. Finally, the robust of the algorithm is evaluated by the correlation coefficient between the original watermark and the attacked watermark. A series of attack experiments are carried out on this method, and the results show that the algorithm is not only secure, but also robust to both traditional and geometric attacks, especially in clipping attacks. 相似文献
