Thermodynamic Properties of Ionic Semiclathrate Hydrate Formed with Tetrabutylammonium Propionate 下载免费PDF全文
The phase equilibrium temperature and dissociation heat of tetrabutylammonium propionate (TBAPr) hydrate are reported. TBAPr hydrate is a type of ionic semiclathrate hydrates and also could potentially be used as thermal energy storage material. The temperature‐composition phase diagram of the TBAPr hydrate was determined in a defined range of mass fractions. Considering the dissociation heat of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements, multiple peaks of heat flow were observed in the TBAPr‐water system at the TBAPr mass fraction lower than 0.35, and there was a single peak at the mass fraction higher than 0.37. 相似文献

Plants synthesize variable mixtures of herbivore-induced plant volatiles (HIPVs) as part of their evolutionary conserved defense. To elucidate the impact of chewing herbivores with different level of adaptation on HIPV profiles in rice, we measured HIPVs released from rice seedlings challenged by either the generalist herbivore Mythimna loreyi (MYL) or the specialist Parnara guttata (PAG). Both herbivores markedly elicited the emission of HIPVs, mainly on the second and third days after attack compared to control plants. In addition, side-by-side HIPV comparisons using MYL and PAG caterpillars revealed that generalist feeding induced comparably more HIPVs relative to specialist, particularly on day two as highlighted by multivariate analysis (PLS-DA) of emitted HIPVs, and further confirmed in mimicked herbivory experiments. Here, mechanically wounded plants treated with water (WW) released more VOCs than untreated controls, and on top of this, oral secretions (OS) from both herbivores showed differential effects on volatile emissions from the wounded plants. Similar to actual herbivory, MYL OS promoted higher amounts of HIPVs relative to PAG OS, thus supporting disparate induction of rice indirect defenses in response to generalist and specialist herbivores, which could be due to the differential composition of their OS. A pilot-scale plant to treat concrete sludge and produce calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and an environmental purification agent (phosphorus adsorbent derived from concrete sludge, PAdeCS®) was designed, constructed, and operated. Concrete sludge from a concrete pile and pole production plant, boiler gas containing CO2, and groundwater were used in the plant. The process involved calcium extraction from concrete sludge into water, followed by reaction of the calcium with CO2 to produce crystalline CaCO3. The pilot-scale plant was operated for 1 week, and the mass flows, conversion of CO2 to CaCO3, and net CO2 emissions of the process were estimated. High-purity CaCO3 (>97%) suitable for industrial use was obtained. Based on the power consumption of the process and the amount of CO2 sequestered into CaCO3, a net reduction in CO2 emissions can be achieved using this process. The effect of the addition of microbubbles on the formation of silver nanoparticles produced in an ultrasonic radiation-mediated process was investigated. The addition of microbubbles with an area-based median diameter of 26.0?µm and a bubble volume density of 0.18?cm3/L significantly increased the silver nanoparticle formation rate during the sonochemical process. The size distribution of the silver nanoparticles was largely unaffected by the addition of the microbubbles. The influence of changes in the microbubble volume density on the formation of the silver nanoparticles was also investigated; it was confirmed that the rate of formation of the silver nanoparticles increased moderately with increasing volume density. The gradient in absorption spectra was approximately 30 times larger for the case when microbubbles (median diameter: 28.3?µm) were added at 0.74?cm3/L, compared with the case without microbubbles. The results suggested that the microbubbles provided reaction sites similar to cavitation bubbles in the ultrasonic reaction. 相似文献

Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) was carried out on precursor of polyimide (PI), poly(amic acid) film, and then hard baking to obtain imprinted PI film. The molecular aggregation states of imprinted PI films before and after hard baking were investigated by grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray diffraction comparing with the one of flat PI film. It was found that NIL and hard baking can strongly affect the molecular aggregation states of PI film. Before hard baking, PI chain is aligned parallel to the line direction on the line. After hard baking, the alignment in ordered domain was changed to that the PI molecule of which chain axis is perpendicular to the line direction is significantly increased, while, PI molecule of which chain axis is parallel to the line direction is decreased after hard baking. SHR/NDmcr-cp (cp/cp) rats (SHR/NDcp) are an animal model of metabolic syndrome. A previous study of ours revealed drastic increases in the mass of palmitic (16:0), oleic (18:1n-9), palmitoleic (16:1n-7), cis-vaccenic (18:1n-7) and 5,8,11-eicosatrienoic acids in the liver of SHR/NDcp. However, detailed information on the class of lipid accumulated and the mechanism responsible for the overproduction of the accumulated lipid in the liver was not obtained. This study aimed to characterize the class of lipid accumulated and to explore the mechanism underlying the lipid accumulation in the liver of SHR/NDcp, in comparison with SHR/NDmcr-cp (+/+) (lean hypertensive littermates of SHR/NDcp) and Wistar Kyoto rats. In the liver of SHR/NDcp, de novo synthesis of fatty acids (16:0, 18:1n-9 and 16:1n-7) and triacylglycerol (TAG) synthesis were up-regulated and fatty acid β-oxidation was down-regulated. These perturbations of lipid metabolism caused fat accumulation in hepatocytes and accumulation of TAG, which were enriched with 16:0, 18:1n-9 and 16:1n-7, in the liver of SHR/NDcp. On the other hand, no changes were found in hepatic contents of diacylglycerol and unesterified fatty acid (FFA); among FFA, there were no differences in the hepatic concentrations of unesterified 16:0 and stearic acid between SHR/NDcp and two other groups of rats. Moreover, little change was brought about in the expression of genes responsive to endoplasmic reticulum stress in the liver of SHR/NDcp. A fusion protein composed of β1,3‐N‐acetyl‐D ‐glucosaminyltransferase (β1,3‐GlcNAcT) from Streptococcus agalactiae type Ia and maltose‐binding protein (MBP) was produced in Escherichia coli as a soluble and highly active form. Although this fusion protein (MBP‐β1,3‐GlcNAcT) did not show any sugar‐elongation activity to some simple low‐molecular weight acceptor substrates such as galactose, Galβ(1→4)Glc (lactose), Galβ(1→4)GlcNAc (N‐acetyllactosamine), Galβ(1→4)GlcNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)Glc (lacto‐N‐tetraose), and Galβ(1→4)GlcβCer (lactosylceramide, LacCer), the multivalent glycopolymer having LacCer‐mimic branches (LacCer mimic polymer, LacCer primer) was found to be an excellent acceptor substrate for the introduction of a β‐GlcNAc residue at the O‐3 position of the non‐reducing galactose moiety by this engineered enzyme. Subsequently, the polymer having GlcNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)Glc was subjected to further enzymatic modifications by using recombinant β1,4‐D ‐galactosyltransferase (β1,4‐GalT), α2,3‐sialyltransferase (α2,3‐SiaT), α1,3‐L ‐fucosyltransferase (α1,3‐FucT), and ceramide glycanase (CGase) to afford a biologically important ganglioside; Neu5Aα(2→3)Galβ(1→4)[Fucα(1→3)]GlcNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)GlcCerα(IV3Neu5Acα,III3Fucα‐nLc4Cer) in 40% yield (4 steps). Interestingly, it was suggested that MBP‐β1,3‐GlcNAcT could also catalyze a glycosylation reaction of the LacCer mimic polymer with N‐acetyl‐D ‐galactosamine served from UDP‐GalNAc to afford a polymer carrying trisaccharide branches, GalNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)Glc. Cu2O flower/grass-like nanoarchitectures (FGLNAs) were fabricated directly on two category specimens of Cu foils and Cu film using thermal oxidation method. The FGLNAs are approximately 3.5 to 12 μm in size, and their petals are approximately 50 to 950 nm in width. The high compressive stress caused by a large oxide volume in the Cu2O layer on the specimen surface played an important role in the growth of FGLNAs. The effects of surface conditions, such as the surface stresses, grain size, and surface roughness of Cu foil and Cu film specimens, on the FGLNA growth were discussed in detail.

Metabolic syndrome is associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. This study investigated the impact of hypertension, a component of metabolic syndrome, on azoxymethane (AOM)-induced colorectal carcinogenesis using SHRSP/Izm (SHRSP) non-diabetic/hypertensive rats and SHRSP.Z-Leprfa/IzmDmcr (SHRSP-ZF) diabetic/hypertensive rats. Male 6-week-old SHRSP, SHRSP-ZF, and control non-diabetic/normotensive Wister Kyoto/Izm (WKY) rats were given 2 weekly intraperitoneal injections of AOM (20 mg/kg body weight). Two weeks after the last injection of AOM, the SHRSP and SHRSP-ZF rats became hypertensive compared to the control WKY rats. Serum levels of angiotensin-II, the active product of the renin-angiotensin system, were elevated in both SHRSP and SHRSP-ZF rats, but only the SHRSP-ZF rats developed insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, and hyperleptinemia and exhibited an increase in adipose tissue. The development of AOM-induced colonic preneoplastic lesions and aberrant crypts foci, was significantly accelerated in both SHRSP and SHRSP-ZF hypertensive rats, compared to WKY normotensive rats. Furthermore, induction of oxidative stress and exacerbation of inflammation were observed in the colonic mucosa and systemically in SHRSP and SHRSP-ZF rats. Our findings suggest that hypertension plays a role in the early stage of colorectal carcinogenesis by inducing oxidative stress and chronic inflammation, which might be associated with activation of the renin-angiotensin system. 相似文献
