Hot-carrier aging of the MOS transistor in the presence of spin-onglass as the interlevel dielectric
The effect of introducing a polysilicate or polysiloxane spin-on glass (SOG) as a component of the interlevel dielectric in a multilevel integrated circuit on the hot-carrier aging of the MOS transistor is discussed. It was found that the presence of SOG led to accelerated aging of the MOS transistor: factors of 20 and 5 for silicate and siloxane, respectively. We report on first computations considering effects of a rough wall on the counterflow state in superfluid 3He-B for high flow velocities. Using the quasiclassical Green's-function formalism supplemented by the boundary conditions for a diffusive wall, we calculate the order-parameter field and the supercurrent near a container wall for various pressures and temperatures. One of our results is that the current density at the wall as a function of the flow has a maximum at the velocity which is about half of the pair breaking velocity. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with a traction-based Completed Adjoint Double Layer Boundary Element Method to solve for the surface traction of a system of rigid particles embedded in an elastic matrix. The main feature of the method is a single layer representation of the displacement field, which leads to a system of second-kind integral equations for the traction field, the extreme eigenvalue of which could be deflated, allowing iterative solution strategies to be effectively applied. The method is therefore most suitable for large-scale simulations of particulate solids. The method is benchmarked against some known analytic solutions, including the difficult stress singularity problems at sharp edges. Propagation of Isothermal Flame in the Low-Pressure Thermal Decomposition of Nitrogen Trichloride 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The inhibition and promotion of isothermal NCl3 flame by NOCl and H2, respectively, are explained. The crossover from the isothermal mode of flame propagation to the thermal one is analyzed for NCl3–He mixtures. Calculations based on a kinetic mechanism taking into account energy chain branching are performed, and qualitative agreement between the calculated and observed data is demonstrated. The one-dimensional problem of chain–thermal flame propagation by a chain reaction involving a nonlinear-branching step has two solutions corresponding, one corresponding the isothermal mode of flame propagation and the other corresponding to the chain–thermal one. Nonlinear chain branching shortens the time needed for thermal ignition and increases the flammability of the combustible mixture. 相似文献

The reproducible technology for producing high-birefringence fibers with stress-induced elliptical cladding and circular core is described. The authors have obtained fibers that have a birefringence of about (1-3) 10-4, a mode coupling parameter of about (2-7) 10 -5 m-1, and loss of less than 0.5 dB/km at 1.6 μm. Many cognitive tasks that are easy for humans to perform are proving difficult to emulate in computer systems. Combining the disciplines of psychology and engineering may offer a solution to some of these problems. A connectionist or neural network model of face recognition by humans which incorporates aspects of a model proposed by cognitive psychologists is presented. A comparative set of experiments has been performed using this simulation and human subjects for familiar face recognition. By employing the same stimuli for both humans and the computer model, it is possible to advance not only our understanding of human cognition but also to develop improved automated systems for face recognition 相似文献
