Modeling and simulation of high-speed milling centers dynamics   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
High-speed machining is a milling operation in industrial production of aeronautic parts, molds, and dies. The parts production is being reduced because of the slowing down of the machining resulting from the tool path discontinuity machining strategy. In this article, we propose a simulation tool of the machine dynamic behavior, in complex parts machining. For doing this, analytic models have been developed expressing the cutting tool feed rate. Afterwards, a simulation method, based on numerical calculation tools, has been structured. In order to validate our approach, we have compared the simulation results with the experimental ones for the same examples.  相似文献

We present a novel approach for designing lightweight sandwich structures by using an assembly of topologically interlocked building blocks as a core of the sandwich. The results of a study in three point bending tests demonstrate a significant increase in maximum deflection before failure and absorbed energy over that of a sandwich with a monolithic core.  相似文献

In situ tensile tests were carried out during X-ray microtomography imaging of a smooth and a notched specimen of dual phase steel. The void coalescence was first qualitatively observed and quantitative data concerning this damage step was then acquired. The void coalescence criteria of Brown and Embury and of Thomason were then tested against the experimental data at both the macroscopic and local levels. Although macroscopic implementation of the criteria gave acceptable results, the local approach was probably closest to the real nature of void coalescence, because it takes into account local coalescence events observed experimentally before final fracture. The correlation between actual coalescing couples of cavities and local implementation of the two criteria showed that the Thomason criterion is probably the best adapted to predict the local coalescence events in the case of the material studied.  相似文献

Arid and semi-arid regions are susceptible to high levels of erosion. A rapid and cost effective methodological erosion assessment for these regions is required to describe and monitor the processes that control erosion. This study uses remote sensing to describe the contribution of several factors that control erosion. Topography, land use, vegetation density, soil properties and climatic proxies are used to determine erosion risk and to provide basic maps of water and soil conservation practices. A hierarchical decision tree is used to sum and combine the weight of parameters controlling the erosion. The assigned weights of each spatial unit express the susceptibility to erosion. We focus on the catchment basin of the Maleka Wakena reservoir, located in the southeastern portion of the main Ethiopian Rift, where erosion is the major environmental problem. Three different combinations of the dominant controlling factors are yielded in this study. In order to optimize the qualitative erosion risk assessment, each combination is discussed and evaluated depending on the contribution of parameters involved in the erosion process.  相似文献

In this paper, adsorptive performance of Tunisian natural clay materials has been investigated as a potential adsorbent for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The materials used were taken from Aleg and Douiret formations in the south of Tunisia. Organoclay materials (OC) were prepared by intercalating didodecyldimethyl ammonium bromide on clay materials. This intercalation allowed the improvement of the porous texture of the studied materials. The adsorption isotherms showed that the intercalation of the didodecyldimethyl ammonium bromide on clay materials improved their adsorption capacities of chlorobenzene with an adsorption capacity up to 375 mg g−1 for calcined modified clay of Douiret.  相似文献

Improving the strength-to-ductility trade-off remains the prime driving force for the development of advanced high-strength steel. Traditionally research breakthroughs are focused on the microstructure and relative phase composition. Herein, laser hardening is applied to ductile ferritic steel to introduce straight and corrugated martensitic reinforcements, effectively generating architectured steel sheets. Tensile behavior of laser-architectured samples is studied both using finite-element method simulation and mechanical testing to reveal the effect of laser-induced corrugations on strength and necking strain. The results show that with the same reinforced volume fraction of 24%, an increase in corrugation height/period leads to a gain in necking strain with a loss in yield strength and ultimate tensile stress. This beneficial effect on necking strain is due to the corrugation unbending process which introduces so-called geometric work hardening during tension. Extended simulations are carried out on various corrugation heights/periods and the evolution trends of ultimate tensile strength and necking change with different reinforced volumes. This study proposes a perspective on corrugation-reinforced architectured materials. Corrugation parameters can be chosen to tailor the mechanical behavior of laser-architectured materials.  相似文献

Titanium alloy is well known for its difficulty to machine, owing to the important “tool wear” phenomenon. Machining assistance is an interesting solution to lengthen the tool lifetime. In this study, we focused on the effect of cryogenic assistance—during machining of Ti17—on the tool wear and cutting forces for different combinations of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. Compared to conventional lubrication, cryogenic support lengthens the tool life for all tested conditions and has no significant influence on cutting force. A comparison of the cryogenic effect and high-pressure water jet assistance is also presented.  相似文献

Cryptogein belongs to a new family of 10-kDa proteins called elicitins. Elicitins are necrotic and signaling proteins secreted by Phytophthora spp. responsible for the incompatible reaction and systemic hypersensitive-like necroses of diverse plant species leading to resistance against fungal or bacterial plant pathogens. The solution structure of beta cryptogein from Phytophthora cryptogea fungus was determined by using multidimensional heteronuclear nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. A set of 18 structures was calculated using 1360 NOE-derived distance restraints and 40 dihedral angle restraints obtained from 3JHNH alpha couplings. The RMS deviation from the mean structure is 0.87 +/- 0.14 A for backbone atoms and 1.34 +/- 0.14 A for all the non-hydrogen atoms of residues 2 to 98. The structure of beta cryptogein reveals a novel protein fold, with five helices and a double-stranded beta-sheet facing an omega-loop. One edge of the beta-sheet and the adjacent face of the omega-loop form a hydrophobic cavity. This cavity made of highly conserved residues represents a plausible binding site. Residue 13, which has been identified from directed mutagenesis and natural sequence comparison studies as a key amino acid involved in the differential control of necrosis, is surface exposed and could contribute to the binding to a ligand or a receptor. The solution structure is close to the X-ray structure, with slight differences lightly due to the crystal packing.  相似文献
