Stiction or high static friction is a common problem in spring-diaphragm type control valves, which are widely used in the process industry. Recently, there have been many attempts to understand, define, model and detect stiction in control valves. There are several methods for detecting stiction, but quantification of the actual amount of stiction still remains a challenge. This paper discusses briefly the definition and modelling of stiction. Then it demonstrates a new method to detect and quantify the actual amount of valve stiction using routine operating data. The proposed method is completely data-driven. SnO2–TiO2 heterostructure films were prepared through Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) route. LB films of octadecyl amine (ODA)–titanyl oxalate multilayer deposited on Si (100) and decomposed at 600 °C showed rutile and anatase phases of ultrathin TiO2 film. Subsequently, multilayer LB film of ODA–stannate deposited on the pre deposited TiO2 film after decomposition at 600 °C resulted in thin SnO2 films on the TiO2 thin film. The phase analysis of the SnO2–TiO2 film showed cassiterite phase of SnO2 as well as the rutile/anatase mixture of TiO2 indicating a SnO2–TiO2 heterostructured film. Surface morphology of the pure TiO2 film and SnO2–TiO2 film were analyzed by using AFM. Electrical characterization by AC impedance analysis suggested SnO2–TiO2 heterostructure formation. DC current voltage measurement showed increase in photocurrent indicating visible light absorption and efficient charge separation under the sunlight type radiation. 相似文献

To date, long-term preservation approaches have comprised of emulation, migration, normalization, and metadata – or some combination
of these. Most existing work has focussed on applying these approaches to digital objects of a singular media type:
text, HTML, images, video or audio. In this paper, we consider the preservation of composite, mixed-media digital objects,
a rapidly growing class of resources. We describe an integrated, flexible system that we have developed, which leverages existing
tools and services and assists organizations to dynamically discover the optimum preservation strategy as it is required.
The system captures and periodically compares preservation metadata with software and format registries to determine those
objects (or sub-objects) at risk. By making preservation software modules available as Web services and describing them semantically
using a machine-processable ontology (OWL-S), the most appropriate preservation service(s) for each object (or sub-object)
can then be dynamically discovered, composed and invoked by software agents (with optional human input at critical decision-making
steps). The PANIC system successfully illustrates how the growing array of available preservation tools and services can be
integrated to provide a sustainable, collaborative solution to the long-term preservation of large-scale collections of complex

Forty three metameric pairs were obtained by comparison, shade-adjustment, and redyeing of 660 self shades dyed with direct, azoic, vat, and reactive dyes. The pairs were regrouped shadewise and ranked visually in increasing order of metamerism. Spearman's rank correlation coefficients were calculated between 11 measures of metamerism and the visual metameric ranking under three illuminants A, D65, and TL84 in pairs. The illuminant-independent general indices included the indices based on reflectance differences (Bridgeman), weighted reflectance differences (Nimeroff and Yurow), Cohen-Kappauf's residual differences (proposed) obtained from the spectral decompositions of the reflectance spectra of the metameric pair. Illuminant-specific special indices included color-differences under test illuminant, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication of color-differences under test and reference illuminants, indices based on ΔL*, Δa*, Δb* differences under two illuminants, based on chromatic adapted ΔL*, Δa*, Δb* differences with multiplicative corrections for tristimulus differences under reference illuminant (Berns-Billmeyer), differences of the color constancy indices. The present work showed that indices based on ΔL*, Δa*, Δb* differences under two illuminants, both unmodified and modified by Berns-Billmeyer performed best among the existing indices. This research focuses on studying the effects of heat and mass transfer convective flow passing through an infinite vertical plate embedded in porous media under radiation and chemical reaction with constant heat and mass flux. A magnetic field of strength is functional throughout the fluid region. The novelty of the present work is to examine the heat and mass transfer magnetohydrodynamics flow in the presence of thermal radiation. The equations governing the flow, heat and mass transfer are solved analytically using the perturbation technique. Expressions for velocity, temperature, concentration, skin-friction, Nusselt, and Sherwood numbers are obtained. The influence of physical parameters on the flow domain is described graphically and in tabular form. It is found that increase in radiation parameter reduces the velocity and temperature. A transient analysis has been carried out on a hybrid solar water heater which comprises a rock bed air heater with optimum design parameters in conjunction with an air-to-water transverse fin shell-and-tube heat exchanger (mixed air and unmixed water type) in which cold water from the storage tank receives heat from the hot air coming out of the air heater which flows in the shell at right angles to the water flowing in the tubes. The system's performance has been evaluated for typical winter weather conditions in Delhi for different combinations of flow rates of air and water for different volumes of the water storage tank. No hot water is assumed to be withdrawn from the tank to serve the load. A comparative analysis of the system's performance with and without a rock bed in the air heater reveals about 11°C higher temperature of storage tank in the former at 50 kg/h m2 air flow rate. Fatty acids of the total lipids of flesh and hepatopancreas of Macoma sp. have been determined. The level of 20:5w3 (ca 17%), a biologically important fatty acid, was found to be considerably high. Other major component fatty acids were 16:0, 16:1, 18:1 and 22:4w6. High levels of 22:5w6 (8%), 22:5w3 (8%) and 22:6w3 (ca 15%) were found in flesh lipid. Nonsaponifiables were also high (28–30%). Wearable pH sensors for sweat analysis have garnered significant scientific attention for the detection of early signs of many physiological diseases. In this study, a MoS2-polyaniline (PANI) modified screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) is fabricated and used as a sweat biosensor. The exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets are drop casted over an SPCE and are functionalized by a conducting polymer, polyaniline (PANI) via the electropolymerization technique. The as-fabricated biosensor exhibits high super-Nernstian sensitivity of −70.4 ± 1.7 mV pH−1 in the linear range of pH 4 to 8 of 0.1 m standard phosphate buffer solution (PBS), with outstanding reproducibility. The sensor exhibits excellent selectivity against the common sweat ions including Na+, Cl−, K+, and NH4+ with tremendous long-term stability over 180 min from pH 4 to 6. The enhanced active surface area and better electrical conductivity as a consequence of the synergistic effect between MoS2 and PANI are correlated with the boosted performance of the as-produced biosensor. The feasibility of the sensor is further examined using an artificial sweat specimen and the successful detection confirms the potential of the biosensor for a real-time noninvasive, skin attachable, and flexible wearable pH sensor. 相似文献

The quintessence of this article encompasses the effect of diffusiophoresis, chemical reaction, and varying viscosity as well as thermal conductivity on a fully developed dissipative flow through an upright channel. The fluid is electrically conducting undergoing mixed convection. The governing equations, after transfiguring into dimensionless formation, are solved through a numerical procedure for boundary value problems incorporating MATLAB solver. Imperative scrutiny is made to visualize associative impacts of flow parameters, namely, magnetic parameter, the Brinkmann number, the Schmidt number, variable viscosity parameter, variable thermal conductivity parameter, chemical reaction parameter, diffusiophoretic parameter, and particle diffusion parameter, on the flow. The velocity field, the temperature field, the solute concentration field, the particle concentration field, the skin friction, the Nusselt number, the Sherwood number, and the particle concentration gradient are assessed in view of alteration of the aforesaid parameters with the help of visual illustrations in graphical form and tabular form. Solute mass transposition and colloidal particle locomotion are the fresh inclusions to the scrutiny of upright channel flow in light of solving scheme of bvp4c.
