The purpose was to measure the effect of a participatory ergonomics implementation strategy consisting of information, education, and facilitation on the use of new tools and working methods in the floor laying trade. Floor layers (n=292) were trained in using new working methods. The effects were evaluated by using questionnaires, interviews, and assessments of quality and productivity. Following the training, 43% had used the new working methods weekly/daily compared to 11% before. There was a reduction in the degree of self-reported pain in the knees among the floor layers using the new working methods weekly or daily compared to those using them never or occasionally. The musculoskeletal complaints did not increase from any other region and the quality and the productivity of the work were not decreased. This indicates that within a 3-months perspective the implementation strategy succeeded.  相似文献

A patient studied preoperatively by a neuro-otological test battery showed signs of an extensive cerebellopontine angle tumour. During the operation dense fibrotic tissue was found extending from the choroid plexus to the right acoustic nerve, which was freed and thus decompressed. Postoperatively, low frequency hearing improved markedly in the right ear. In contrast to the well-known documented cases of successful decompression of the optic nerve it has not been possible up to now to achieve a successful outcome in similar procedures on the acoustic nerve. In the described case the fibrotic lesion had obviously just caused reversible damage to the myelin sheaths of the eighth nerve, which can be interpreted as "neurapraxia" (Seddon, 1943). Further investigations in regard to the systematic elucidation of possibly reversible damage to the acoustic nerve are currently being performed at the IInd ENT department of Vienna University.  相似文献

Serum calcium isotopes (δ44/42Ca) have been suggested as a non-invasive and sensitive Ca balance marker. Quantitative δ44/42Ca changes associated with Ca flux across body compartment barriers relative to the dietary Ca and the correlation of δ44/42CaSerum with bone histology are unknown. We analyzed Ca and δ44/42Ca by mass-spectrometry in rats after two weeks of standard-Ca-diet (0.5%) and after four subsequent weeks of standard- and of low-Ca-diet (0.25%). In animals on a low-Ca-diet net Ca gain was 61 ± 3% and femur Ca content 68 ± 41% of standard-Ca-diet, bone mineralized area per section area was 68 ± 15% compared to standard-Ca-diet. δ44/42Ca was similar in the diets, and decreased in feces and urine and increased in serum in animals on low-Ca-diet. δ44/42CaBone was higher in animals on low-Ca-diet, lower in the diaphysis than the metaphysis and epiphysis, and unaffected by gender. Independent of diet, δ44/42CaBone was similar in the femora and ribs. At the time of sacrifice, δ44/42CaSerum inversely correlated with intestinal Ca uptake and histological bone mineralization markers, but not with Ca content and bone mineral density by µCT. In conclusion, δ44/42CaBone was bone site specific, but mechanical stress and gender independent. Low-Ca-diet induced marked changes in feces, serum and urine δ44/42Ca in growing rats. δ44/42CaSerum inversely correlated with markers of bone mineralization.  相似文献

A growing body of work emphasizes the importance of regional factors for regional innovativeness. In this paper, about 70 variables approximating the social-economic characteristics of regions are aggregated to 12 regional factors. In four industry-specific set-ups their influence on firms?? innovativeness is tested. The study confirms that inter-industrial differences exist in the importance of these factors. In the empirical analyses a log-linear model is compared with a linear approach. While both are theoretically problematic it is shown that the log-linear model performs better in the empirical assessment.  相似文献

A novel design of a 1-D imaging X-ray spectrometer is implemented, using a high efficiency HOPG (highly oriented pyrolitic graphite) Bragg crystal and a double-entrance-slit. The double slit provides self-calibration of the imaging magnification. The spatial and spectral resolutions and dispersion are characterised both analytically and by ray tracing simulations. A key feature of this approach is that it enables the X-ray spectrum to be measured over different regions of the plasma source. The application of this instrument is demonstrated in high intensity laser-foil interaction experiments.  相似文献

TiO2? Ag‐nanocomposites exhibit various desirable properties that make them suitable for a variety of applications, for example in photocatalysis and as bactericidal coatings. In this work, a new method for processing TiO2? Ag nanocomposites is presented. The nanocomposite films are fabricated from one precursor solution with high silver loading of up to 50%. The resulting films exhibit a microstructure consisting of TiO2? AgxO nanocomposites with a largely XRD‐amorphous TiO2 matrix containing brookite nanocrystals. This specific microstructure absorbs in the visible range so that photoreduction of Ag ions can be accomplished by using visible light. The thin films can be patterned using simple shadow masks. The illuminated areas show a high density of self‐organized nanoparticles (SNPs) and nanorods (SNRs), which are templated by the TiO2 porous network. The particle size can be tuned by varying the irradiation time. Most of the SNPs and SNRs form faceted crystals, which are mostly a combination of {111} and {110}. The application of these films as substrates for surface‐enhanced Raman scattering is shown. Enhancement factors as high as 4.6 × 106 could be obtained using rhodamine 6G dye molecules. More applications should involve photocatalytic water purification using visible light.  相似文献

The electrostatic self-assembled monolayer synthesis process is used to fabricate gas sensors by building up grating sensor elements on the ends of multimode optical fibers. These novel sensors can be designed to operate in the transmission windows of standard optical fibers and implemented using specific reference wavelengths to normalize the output signals. Index Calculus in Class Groups of Non-hyperelliptic Curves of Genus Three   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We study an index calculus algorithm to solve the discrete logarithm problem (DLP) in degree 0 class groups of non-hyperelliptic curves of genus 3 over finite fields. We present a heuristic analysis of the algorithm which indicates that the DLP in degree 0 class groups of non-hyperelliptic curves of genus 3 can be solved in an expected time of . This heuristic result relies on one heuristic assumption which is studied experimentally. We also present experimental data which show that a variant of the algorithm is faster than the Rho method even for small group sizes, and we address practical limitations of the algorithm.  相似文献
