In this study, the possibilities to extend the basis for research performance exercises with editorial material are explored. While this document type has been traditionally not considered as an important type of scientific communication in research performance assessment procedures, there is a perception from researchers that editorial materials should be considered as relevant document types as important sources for the dissemination of scientific knowledge. In a number of these cases, some of the mentioned editorial materials are actually ‘highly cited’. This lead to a thorough scrutiny of editorials or editorial material over the period 1992–2001, for all citation indexes of Thomson Scientific. The relevance of editorial materials through three quantitative bibliometric characteristics of scientific publications, namely page length, number of references, and the number of received citations, are thoroughly analyzed.  相似文献

Studying consumer behaviour and usage of environmental determinants in the mobile services domain contributes to the identification of context information which is critical for the effective operation of mobile commerce applications. Exploiting this information towards providing enhanced and innovative mobile services offers a competitive advantage within the highly demanding domain of m-commerce applications. However, in order to effectively exploit such context information, there is a need to design the necessary methods, software tools and information systems that will be employed for collecting, processing and disseminating this information. In this paper we develop a theoretical framework which defines the context information necessary for m-commerce applications, taking into account relevant marketing dimensions as well as privacy protection perspectives. Then, this framework is operationalized through the design of an appropriate software architecture which enables the standardization and management of context information.  相似文献

A novel process for the thermal stability and hydrophobicity enhancement of wood is proposed. The process concerns the impregnation of wood with water-soluble and water-insoluble salts. The salts are synthesized in situ in wood through aqueous solutions and supercritical carbon dioxide treatment. To protect salt-treated wood from absorbing large amounts of humidity a polymer film is formed upon the surface of wood and depending on the inherent roughness of wood, superhydrophobicity can be obtained. Characterization of the materials was performed by infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, calorimetry, density, color and contact angle measurements and ignition and visual observations. The fire retardation is achieved in both glowing and smolding combustion and may be due to different mechanisms as it was concluded from the thermogravimetric analysis and ignition.  相似文献

Novel manganese complexes containing N4‐tetradentate ligands derived from chiral bipyrrolidinediamines catalyze the stereoselective epoxidation of a wide array of alkenes using low catalyst loadings (0.1 mol%) and hydrogen peroxide (1.2 equiv.) as terminal oxidant. This family of catalysts affords good to excellent yields (80–100%) and moderate to good ees (40–73%) in short reaction times (30 min) making efficient use of hydrogen peroxide.  相似文献
