The FAST (Fusion Advanced Study Torus) machine is a compact high magnetic field tokamak, that will allow to study in an integrated way the main operational issues relating to plasma-wall interaction, plasma operation and burning plasma physics in conditions relevant for ITER and DEMO. The present work deals with the structural analysis of the machine Load Assembly for a proposed new plasma scenario (10 MA – 8.5 T), aimed to increase the operational limits of the machine.A previous paper has dealt with an integrated set of finite element models (regarding a former reference scenario: 6.5 MA – 7.5 T) of the load assembly, including the Toroidal and Poloidal Field Coils and the supporting structure. This set of models has regarded the evaluation of magnetic field values, the evaluation of the electromagnetic forces and the temperatures in all the current-carrying conductors: these analysis have been a preparatory step for the evaluation of the stresses of the main structural components.The previous models have been analyzed further on and improved in some details, including the computation of the out-of-plane electromagnetic forces coming from the interaction between the poloidal magnetic field and the current flowing in the toroidal magnets.After this updating, the structural analysis has been executed, where all forces and temperatures, coming from the formerly mentioned most demanding scenario (10 MA – 8.5 T) and acting on the tokamak's main components, have been considered. The two sets of analysis regarding the reference scenario and the extreme one have been executed and a useful comparison has been carried on.The analyses were carried out by using the FEM code Ansys rel. 13.  相似文献

The sequence of deltorphin I, a delta-selective opioid agonist, has been systematically modified by inserting conformationally constrained C alpha, alpha disubstituted apolar residues in the third position. As expected, substitution of Phe with Ac6c, Ac5c and Ac3c yields analogues with decreasing but sizeable affinity. Surprisingly, substitution with Aib yields an analogue with almost the same binding affinity of the parent compound but with a greatly increased selectivity. This is the first case of a potent and very selective opioid peptide containing a single aromatic residue in the message domain, that is, only Tyr1. Here we report a detailed conformational analysis of [Aib3]deltorphin I and [Ac6c3]deltorphin I in DMSO at room temperature and in a DMSO/water cryomixture at low temperature, based on NMR spectroscopy and energy calculations. The peptides are highly structured in both solvents, as indicated by the exceptional finding of a nearly zero temperature coefficient of Val5 NH resonance. NMR data cannot be explained on the basis of a single structure but it was possible to interpret all NMR data on the basis of a few structural families. The conformational averaging was analysed by means of an original computer program that yields qualitative and quantitative composition of the mixture. Comparison of the preferred solution conformation with two rigid delta-selective agonists shows that the shapes of [Aib3]deltorphin I and [Ac6c3]deltorphin I are consistent with those of rigid agonists and that the message domain of opioid peptides can be defined only in conformational terms.  相似文献

Historically, information systems have been used to improve efficiency through such means as clerical automation, inventory status reporting and transactional processing systems. Today, however, to reduce costs, increase return on investments, and achieve competitive advantage, businesses need to have information systems that support managerial decision-making and result in improved effectiveness. To meet this requirement, new approaches are needed in order to define the right problem and work the problem right. By using such techniques as critical success factor analysis followed by a top down system development approach, developing systems through prototyping and using end-user oriented software, these needs can be met.This article describes several company experiences of using a management systems planning and development process. This process in one company presented an opportunity to test the feasibility of developing an alignment between business goals and events critical to the success of the business. Management believed that to succeed in the future they must be forward thinking in their identification and use of information systems to improve managerial effectiveness. Their questions were “What should we do?” and “How should we do it?” By applying these techniques they were able to achieve outstanding results in a very short period of time.  相似文献

A procedure for rapidly screening and quantitatively analyzing organic molecules is presented, in which a miniaturized solid-phase extraction (SPE) cartridge containing 0.6 mg of graphitized carbon black (the GCB-mu-trap) is used for sample pretreatment. Then surface-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SALDI-TOF-MS) screening is followed by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) for robust quantitative analysis of samples containing analytes of interest. Liquid samples with volumes up to 100 mL were extracted using the GCB-mu-trap, and SALDI screening was performed by transferring a few particles of the GCB 4 sorbent from the mu-trap onto a stainless steel plate. Analytes were then simply ionized and desorbed by irradiating the GCB 4 particles without any further pretreatment. GCB 4 was found to be an excellent surface for the SALDI analysis of small molecules, providing spectra with very clean backgrounds. The small size of the cartridge (micropipet filter tip) results in enrichment of the analytes on a small surface area, affording low SALDI-TOF-MS detection limits. Furthermore, the removal of just a few particles from the mu-trap does not significantly affect the subsequent quantitative determination. This approach offers considerable reductions in analytical costs by eliminating unnecessary SPE-LC/MS analyses.  相似文献

Summary Visible absorption and circular dichroism spectra of the cationic dye pseudoisocyanine bound to sulfated polysaccharides in dilute aqueous solution are reported. Characteristic, strong optical activity is associated with stacks of dye molecules bound by dextran sulfate as well as by i-carrageenan in the random coil states. Conversion of i-carrageenan chains to an ordered state (by addition of NaCl) markedly changes the dye circular dichroism spectrum. The possible configurational origins of the observed effects are pointed out.  相似文献

This paper explores the factors that shape the location choices of formerly mobile graduates (FMGs) initially resident in Sardinia, Italy, a less developed European region. Combining qualitative and quantitative techniques, the paper examines the reasons why some individuals decide to return after their studies, the factors that shape their decisions and how these choices unfolded in space and time. It counters the literature, which suggests that migration is a one-off linear process driven only by wealth-maximising behaviour, positing rather that access to opportunities in open meritocratic job markets and circular migration trajectories are far more salient to FMGs. This suggests that policy makers should concentrate on promoting labour market opportunities and invest in social networks that will aid brain circulation.  相似文献

Fusion Advanced Studies Torus (FAST) aims to contribute to the exploitation of ITER and to explore innovative DEMO technology. FAST has been designed to study, in an integrated scenario: (a) relevant plasma-wall interaction problems, with a large power load (P/R  22 MW/m; P/R2  12 MW/m2) and with a full metallic wall; (b) to tackle operational problems in regimes with relevant fusion parameters; (c) to investigate the non-linear dynamics of fast particles (alpha like) in burning plasmas. FAST will operate on a wide parameters range, namely in high performance H-mode (BT  8.5 T; IP  8 MA) as well as in advanced Tokamak operation up to full non-inductive current scenario (IP  2 MA). The main heating is based on 30 MW ICRH, but the ports have been designed to allocate up to 20 MW of 1 MeV NNBI. Helium gas at 30 K is used for cooling of the full machine, a preliminary analysis shows the possibility of realizing FAST with a complete superconductor set of coils. An innovative active system is under development to reduce and to control the magnetic ripple. Tungsten (W) or liquid lithium (L–Li) has been chosen for the divertor material plates and the code EDGE2D has been used to optimize the divertor geometry.  相似文献
