Unicast-based multicast communication in wormhole-routed networks

Multicast communication, in which the same message is delivered from a source node to an arbitrary number of destination nodes, is being increasingly demanded in parallel computing. System supported multicast services can potentially offer improved performance, increased functionality, and simplified programming, and may in turn be used to support various higher-level operations for data movement and global process control. This paper presents efficient algorithms to implement multicast communication in wormhole-routed direct networks, in the absence of hardware multicast support, by exploiting the properties of the switching technology. Minimum-time multicast algorithms are presented for n-dimensional meshes and hypercubes that use deterministic, dimension-ordered routing of unicast messages. Both algorithms can deliver a multicast message to m-1 destinations in [log ₂ m] message passing steps, while avoiding contention among the constituent unicast messages. Performance results of implementations on a 64-node nCUBE-2 hypercube and a 168-node Symult 2010 2-D mesh are given     

a-Si/poly-Si叠层太阳能电池的空间电荷效应和稳定性分析

基于pin结构的a-Si∶H太阳能电池中的空间电荷效应,讨论了a-Si/poly-Si叠层太阳能电池的稳定性.结果表明,在光照射下,光生空穴俘获造成了a-Si∶H中正空间电荷密度的增加,从而改变了电池内部的电场分布,提高了a-Si∶H薄膜中的电场强度.空间电荷效应不会给a-Si/poly-Si叠层结构中的a-Si∶H薄膜带来准中性区(低场"死层"),也没有发生a-Si/poly-Si叠层太阳能电池的光诱导性能衰退,因而a-Si/poly-Si叠层结构太阳能电池具有较高的稳定性.     

Well-posedness of dual-phase-lagging heat conduction equation: higher dimensions

The dual-phase-lagging heat conduction equation is shown to be of one unique solution for a finite region of dimension n (n?2) under Dirichlet, Neumann or Robin boundary conditions. The solution is also found to be stable with respect to initial conditions. The work is of fundamental importance in applying the dual-phase-lagging model for the microscale heat conduction of high-rate heat flux.

钻井液用BDY-1便携式堵漏仪

在堵漏过程中，对堵漏材料和堵漏浆配方的优选是决定堵漏成功的关键。为了能在现场对堵漏进行评价，研制出BDY－1便携式堵漏仪，该堵漏仪主要由不锈钢钢柱圈钢，压力表等加工而成，该堵漏仪体积小，重量轻，价格低，仅为国产堵漏仪的1／20。试验结果表明BDY－1便携式堵漏仪操作简便，可快速对堵漏材料进行评价并筛选出堵漏配方；数据重复性好，准确可靠，能达到进口或国产堵漏仪的水平；在模拟漏层选定后，可采用多套压力梯度，对堵漏浆封堵效果进行评价，在压力梯度选定后，可评价堵漏浆对不同类型漏层的封堵效果；如果扩大压力范围，可对封堵后的漏层进行破裂试验，从而确定合理的钻井施工参数；适用现场操作和应用。     

Estimating the power bus impedance of printed circuit boards with embedded capacitance

Embedded capacitance is an alternative to discrete decoupling capacitors and is achieved by enhancing the natural capacitance between closely spaced power and return planes. This paper employs a simple cavity model to investigate the features affecting the power bus impedance of printed circuit boards with embedded capacitance.     

Improving signal prediction performance of neural networks through multiresolution learning approach.

In this paper, we extend the original work on multiresolution learning for neural networks, and present new developments on the multiresolution learning paradigm. The contributions of this paper include: (1) proposing a new concept and method of adjustable neural activation functions in multiresolution learning to improve neural network learning efficacy and generalization performance for signal predictions; (2) providing new insightful explanations for the multiresolution learning paradigm from a multiresolution optimization perspective; (3) exploring underlying ideas why the multiresolution learning scheme associated with adjustable activation functions would be more appropriate for the multiresolution learning paradigm; and (4) providing rigorous validations to evaluate the multiresolution learning paradigm with adjustable activation functions and comparing it with the schemes of multiresolution learning with fixed activation functions and traditional learning. This paper presents systematically new analytical and experimental results on the multiresolution learning approach for training an individual neural network model, demonstrates our integral solution on neural network learning efficacy, and illustrates the significant improvements on neural networks' generalization performance and robustness for nonlinear signal predictions.
