The voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in frequency-based $\Updelta\Upsigma$ modulator (FDSM) systems behaves as a voltage-to-phase integrator converting an analog input voltage to phase information. Tuning range and phase noise are the most important factors of the basic design of a VCO in FDSM systems. In this paper a novel low phase-noise and wide tuning-range differential VCO based on a differential ring oscillator with modified symmetric load and a partial positive feedback in the differential delay cell is presented. The VCO is combined with a new bias circuit and implemented using 90 nm CMOS process technology. By using modified NMOS symmetric loads and a PMOS tail for delay cells, the VCO phase noise can be reduced with more than 13 dB compared to that of the conventional approach, achieving ?125 dBc/Hz at 500 kHz offset from the center frequency of 450 MHz. The wide tuning-range by using two added transistors (parallel with the active loads) increases the operating frequency range by about 22%, while the partial positive feedback provides the necessary bias condition for the circuit to oscillate. The designed VCO operating at a low power supply voltage of 0.6V can achieve low power consumption of 670???W at oscillation frequency of 800 MHz and good linearity reducing harmonic distortion in the $\Updelta\Upsigma$ modulator. 相似文献

Experiment 1 compared arithmetic (AP) and geometric (GP) progressions. Response rates increased as a function of the component ratio requirement, then decreased linearly (AP) or asymptotically (GP). Experiment 2 found the linear decrease in AP rates to be relatively independent of step size. Experiment 3 showed pausing to be controlled by the prior component length, which predicted the differences between PR and regressive ratio schedules found in Experiment 4. When the longest component ratios were signaled by different key colors, rates at moderate ratios increased, demonstrating control by forthcoming context. Models for response rate and pause duration based on Bizo and Killeen (1997) described performance on AP schedules; GP schedules required an additional parameter representing the contextual reinforcement. Entrapped air can commonly lead to large delaminations in thick walled sheet molding compound (SMC) products. In this work different sources of air entrapment in SMC are investigated. The critical process is shown to be the impregnation of the fibers. If no surface active additives are used, large volumes of air may be entrapped in this process, unless the viscosity of the compound is very low. In this situation of poor wetting, the viscosity of the compound during fiber impregnation will critically determine the interlaminar, tensile strength of the product. However, if surface active additives are used, the air escapes entrapment even at relatively high viscosities. The lowering of the viscosity, which is a side effect of the additives, has practically no importance under these conditions of good wetting. Large numbers of small air bubbles are also entrapped during the mixing of the components, but it is shown that these bubbles have very little effect on the mechanical properties of the finished part. 相似文献
Fine grid, two dimensional simulations of reactive gas–solid flows occurring in a fluidized bed reactor were carried out using the Eulerian multi-fluid kinetic theory of granular flow (KTGF) approach in the commercial flow solver, ANSYS FLUENT 12.1. The fuel reactor of a pilot scale Chemical Looping Combustion rig, operated in the bubbling fluidization regime at the Vienna University of Technology, was simulated. Grid dependence studies were carried out as well as sensitivity studies to the fuel inlet condition and the inclusion of gas phase turbulence. Simulations could not accurately reproduce the experimental trend for the case when highly reactive nickel oxide was used as the oxygen carrier material, but in general satisfactory quantitative agreement was observed. The failure to correctly capture the experimental trend was primarily attributed to the fine length-scales at the feed gas inlets not being adequately resolved even at the finest grid investigated. The trend quickly worsened when coarser grids were used, indicating that the generality of the model is lost when grid dependence effects are present. A number of possible dimensional effects were also discussed. Subsequently, the model was used to successfully capture another experimental trend obtained with a much less reactive ilmenite oxygen carrier material. The model captured this trend correctly because the reaction was now limited by the reaction rate and not by species transfer to the large scale gas-emulsion interfaces. Results were therefore not as sensitive to the correct hydrodynamic modelling of the interface, especially near the gas inlets, and the model retained its generality over a wide range of operating conditions. 相似文献
In view of the currently observed energy prices, recent price scenarios, which have been very moderate until 2004, also tend to favor high future energy prices. Having a large impact on energy-economic scenarios, we incorporate uncertain energy prices into an energy systems model by including a stochastic risk function. Energy systems models are frequently used to aid scenario analysis in energy-related studies. The impact of uncertain energy prices on the supply structures and the interaction with measures in the demand sectors is the focus of the present paper.
For the illustration of the methodological approach, scenarios for four EU countries are presented. Including the stochastic risk function, elements of high energy price scenarios can be found in scenarios with a moderate future development of energy prices. In contrast to scenarios with stochastic investment costs for a limited number of technologies, the inclusion of stochastic energy prices directly affects all parts of the energy system. Robust elements of hedging strategies include increasing utilization of domestic energy carriers, the use of CHP and district heat and the application of additional energy-saving measures in the end-use sectors. Region-specific technology portfolios, i.e., different hedging options, can cause growing energy exchange between the regions in comparison with the deterministic case. 相似文献
A new computational method based on the Jk-integral is put forward for the purpose of conducting fracture analysis of orthotropic materials subjected to hygrothermal stresses. By utilizing the constitutive relations of plane orthotropic hygrothermoelasticity, an alternative expression for the Jk-integral is derived to replace the general limit definition. A numerical procedure is developed and integrated into a finite element analysis software to implement the proposed form of the Jk-integral. Temperature and specific moisture concentration fields, which are required in fracture calculations, are also computed through finite element analysis. Numerical results are generated by considering an embedded crack in a polymer matrix fibrous composite laminate, that is subjected to steady-state hygrothermal loading. Comparisons of the mixed-mode stress intensity factors computed by the Jk-integral based method to those evaluated via the displacement correlation technique demonstrate that, the proposed form of the Jk-integral is domain independent and leads to numerical results of high accuracy. Presented parametric analyses illustrate the influences of the fiber volume fraction and the crack location on the modes I and II stress intensity factors, the energy release rate, and the T-stress. 相似文献
The main objective of this study is to determine the stress intensity factors associated with a circumferential crack in a thin-walled cylinder subjected to quasi-static thermal loading. The cylinder is assumed to be a functionally graded material. In order to make the problem analytically tractable, the thin-walled cylinder is modeled as a layer on an elastic foundation whose thermal and mechanical properties are exponential functions of the thickness coordinate. Hence a plane strain crack problem is obtained. First temperature and thermal stress distributions for a crack-free layer are determined. Then using these solutions, the crack problem is reduced to a local perturbation problem where the only nonzero loads are the crack surface tractions. Both internal and edge cracks are considered. Stress intensity factors are computed as functions of crack geometry, material properties, and time. 相似文献
