Some commercial thick film resistors with sheet resistivities from 1 kohm/sq. up to 1 Mohm/sq. were evaluated for strain gauge applications. Temperature coefficients of resistivity, noise indices and gauge factors (GFs) were measured. For the same resistor series GFs and noise indices increase with increasing sheet resistivity. However, both GFs and noise indices are different for resistors with the same nominal sheet resistivity but from different resistor series. The results indicated that the microstructure rather than the different chemical composition of the conductive phase in thick film resistors is the primary reason for the different gauge factors.  相似文献

A robust minimax approach for optimal investment decisions with imprecise return forecasts and risk estimations in financial portfolio management is considered. Single-period and multi-period mean-variance optimization models are extended to worst-case design with multiple rival risk estimations and return forecasts. In multi-period stochastic formulation of classical mean-variance portfolio optimization problem, an investor makes an investment decision based on expectations and/or scenarios up to some intermediate times prior to the horizon and, consequently, rebalances or restructures the portfolio. Multi-period portfolio optimization entails the construction of a scenario tree representing a discretized estimate of uncertainties and associated probabilities in future stages. It is well known that return forecasts and risk estimations are inherently inaccurate and there are different rival estimates, or scenario trees. Robust optimization models are presented and imprecise nature of moment forecasts to reduce the risk of making a decision based on the wrong scenario is addressed. The worst-case performance is guaranteed in view of all rival risk and return scenarios and will only improve when any scenario other than the worst-case is realized. The ex-ante performance of minimax models is tested using historical data and backtesting results are presented.  相似文献

Organizations should look at humans as multilayered, not only as professional entities. In synergy, not only individually, we define humans as: (1) physical, (2) mental, (3) social, (4) spiritual, and (5) economic entities, marked by requisitely holistic patterns of relatively permanent characteristics, due to which individuals differ from each other; they differ also as specialized professionals. All these and other attributes form synergies. On this basis, the behavior of individuals who are willing to practice interdisciplinary cooperation becomes socially responsible and they have a high level of well-being.

Individuals as well as organizations seek requisite personal holism (RPH) on the one hand and psychic well-being (PWB) on the other hand. Thus, individuals implement individual techniques and organizations implement special strategies, programs, and actions in the frame of human resource management (HRM). That is how organizations in the frame of HRM, more specifically in the frame of management well-being, are developing special programs for managing PWB. These programs are based on their RPH and organizations might help employees to feel respected and valued in their work settings, without regard to their culture, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, or other individual differences. The most-often applied programs of the kind include: (1) stress management programs, (2) diversity management programs, (3) wellness programs, (4) employee assistance programs, and (5) programs for personal growth.  相似文献
