To treat uncertain interface position is an important issue for complex applications. In this paper, we address the characterization of randomly perturbed interfaces between fluids thanks to stochastic modeling and uncertainty quantification through the 2D Euler system. The perturbed interface is modeled as a random field and represented by a Karhunen–Loève expansion. The stochastic 2D Euler system is solved applying Polynomial Chaos theory through the Intrusive Polynomial Moment Method (IPMM). This stochastic resolution method is fully explained and studied (theoretically and numerically). Stochastic Richtmyer–Meshkov unstable flows are solved and presented for several configurations of the uncertain interface (different rugosities) between the fluids. The probability density functions of the mass density of the fluid in the vicinity of the interface are computed built and compared for the different simulations: the system exhibits strong sensitivity with respect to the stochastic initially leading modes.  相似文献

Free-living amoebae (FLA) are protozoa that can be found in water networks where they prey on bacteria within biofilms. Most bacteria are digested rapidly by phagocytosis, however some are able to survive within amoebae and some are even able to multiply, as it is the case for Legionella pneumophila. These resisting bacteria are a potential health problem as they could also resist to macrophage phagocytosis. Several publications already reported intra-amoebal bacteria but the methods of identification did not allow metagenomic analysis and are partly based on co-culture with one selected amoebal strain. The aim of our study was to conduct a rRNA-targeted metagenomic analysis on amoebae and intra-amoebal bacteria found in drinking water network, to provide the first FLA microbiome in environmental strains. Three sites of a water network were sampled during four months. Culturable FLA were isolated and total DNA was prepared, allowing purification of both amoebal and bacterial DNA. Metagenomic studies were then conducted through 18S or 16S amplicons sequencing. Hartmannella was by far the most represented genus of FLA. Regarding intra-amoebal bacteria, 54 genera were identified, among which 21 were newly described intra-amoebal bacteria, underlying the power of our approach. There were high differences in bacterial diversity between the three sites. Several genera were highly represented and/or found at least in two sites, underlying that these bacteria could be able to multiply within FLA. Our method is therefore useful to identify FLA microbiome and could be applied to other networks to have a more comprehensive view of intra-amoebal diversity.  相似文献

In this work, the relationship between molecular mobility of polyamide 6,6 amorphous phase and mechanical properties is studied. PA66 formulations having different glass transition temperatures (Tg) obtained by additivation, chemical modification of the polyamide chains, and/or water conditioning at different hygrometry levels, are considered. The main emphasis is put on the impact strength, as measured by instrumented Charpy impact tests over a broad temperature range. It is observed that the brittle‐tough transition temperature TB/T is closely correlated with the Tg of the samples rather than to the β secondary relaxation. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. A method for the production of bovine colostral F(ab′)2 fragments at pilot-plant scale was developed. Optimum yield of immunoglobulins in colostral whey was obtained after rennet treatment of first milking colostrum. Pepsin digestion was carried out directly on the colostral whey at pH 3·8 for 4 h, which led to the complete digestion of immunoglobulins into F(ab′)2 fragments. Elimination of β-lactoglobulin, the main immunogenic protein, was achieved by anion exchange on Duolite A560 at pH 6·0. The preparation was diafiltered with a 5000 Da membrane and the retentate spray-dried. The powder obtained contained approximately 34% F(ab′)2 fragments, with an antibody activity three times higher than the initial colostrum.  相似文献

Retrogradation rate and extent were determined by differential scanning calorimetry and rheology measurements on 40% dry matter gels made from pea, modified waxy maize, rice, waxy rice, wheat, manioc, potato and microwaved irradiated potato starches. As a result, each starch retrogrades differently, depending also on the measurement technique. Nevertheless, potato and pea starches seem to be the most sensitive and the waxy and modified waxy types are the least sensitive to retrogradation.  相似文献

基于Livermore 人体躯干物理模型CT图片构建数字体模,并结合蒙特卡罗程序MCNP对一套由四个宽能高纯锗探测器(BEGe)构成的肺部计数器进行了虚拟刻度.首先,利用点源(241Am,137Cs,60Co,54Mn,57Co,109Cd) 实验数据,对高纯锗晶体尺寸进行调整以获得正确的探测器几何参数,在γ射线能量13.9 keV~1332.5 keV范围内,调整后四个探测器全能峰效率实验测量的平均值与蒙特卡罗计算值的差别在±10%范围内.之后,对不同胸壁厚度(CWT=19 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 43 mm)躯干体模进行CT扫描获得其CT图片,利用Dosigray软件对CT图片进行分割后,连同探测器几何描述文件输入到OEDIPE软件,生成数字体模虚拟刻度用MCNP输入程序.最后,利用241Am、152Eu肺部源对数字体模虚拟刻度结果进行了实验验证,结果表明:在59.5 keV~1408 keV能量范围内,虚拟刻度结果与实验结果的差别在±10%之间;对于17.5 keV能量,差别在±30%之间.  相似文献

The storage of hydrogen in hydride materials is currently much researched as a mean of energy storage. This reversible storage is achieved by successive hydriding and dehydriding reactions. During these reactions, the material undergoes structural transformations which result in swelling of the hydride powder grains due to the absorption of hydrogen. This phenomenon can generate major mechanical stresses on the cell containing the hydride. The present experimental study examines the cyclic swelling of a granular bed consisting of hydride Ti–Cr–V + Zr–Ni. Two superimposed phenomena are identified: a cyclic rearrangement causing a reduction and then an increase in porosity coupled with gradual densification of the stack.  相似文献

Lactoperoxidase system (LPOS) was incorporated into chitosan solutions (0.5, 1, and 1.5%) to protect mangoes against two strains of fungi. Coating solutions effectiveness in vitro (in Petri dish) and in vivo (on mango) were studied on fungal (Phomopsis sp. RP257 and Pestalotiopsis sp.) growth isolated from mango cv Amelie. In vitro, chitosan concentration at least 1% containing or not LPOS effectively inhibited Pestalotiopsis sp. growth at 100%. Presence of LPOS or Lactoperoxydase system with iodine (LPOSI) in chitosan at 0.5% increased the percentage of inhibition from 26 to 93%. Edible films with LPOS inhibited Phomopsis sp. RP257 particularly when LPOS was incorporated in chitosan concentrations of 1 and 1.5%. Iodine did not influenced antifungal activity of LPOS against Pestalotiopsis sp. but decreased activity antifungal toward Phomopsis sp. RP257. The properties (water vapor permeability and mechanical properties) of chitosan films were not significantly changed by the incorporation of the enzyme system. in vivo condition, chitosan coating at 1 and 1.5% with or without enzyme system was sufficient to inhibit totally (100%) Pestalotiopsis sp. and was 60% efficient against Phomopsis sp. with chitosan only at 1 and 1.5%. However, when coating solution mainly at 1 and 1.5% was enhanced by LPOS with or without iodine, it inhibited totally (100%) Phomopsis sp. RP257. The presence of iodine slightly reduced antifungal activity against Phomopsis sp. RP257.  相似文献
