The electrosorption properties of p-norborn-2-yl phenolate ions in alkaline solutions were investigated by ac polarographic and electrocapillary measurements.

Two adsorption regions were found. At low bulk surfactant concentrations the adsorption at the positively charged electrode (−0.2 E −0.6 V) is predominant while at higher surfactant concentrations the adsorption at the negatively charged electrode (−0.6 E −1.0 V) is more pronounced. At E = −0.40 V the adsorption parameters were determined (a ≈ 2; ΔG°A = −32.5 ± 1 kJ mol−1. Between −0.6 E −1.0 V one potential of maximum adsorption for all concentrations does not exist and therefore the adsorption parameters could not be calculated.

At E = −0.40 V progressive two-dimensional nucleation with a nucleation order of 3 was observed which corresponds well with the high attraction constant.

The electrode reaction S2O2−8 + 2e → 2 SO2−4 is inhibited by norborn-2-yl phenolate ions in the potential range −0.2 E −0.6 V. In the second potential range of capacity decrease the electrode process is much less retarded. At E = −0.40 V, in a similar manner as described for neutral molecules, a linear dependence of the log ks (ks apparent rate constant) on ln cA and π (π = surface film pressure), respectively, has been found.  相似文献

Maillard reaction products (MRPs) have antioxidative properties in vitro but the influence of a diet rich in MRPs on oxidative damage in vivo remains unknown.In this study, the influence of thermally processed foods rich in MRPs on copper induced oxidation of human low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in vitro was examined. Moreover, oxidative resistance of LDL (OR) in blood plasma of eight healthy subjects was monitored, who consumed diets poor and rich in MRPs in weekly turn for 3 weeks.Dark beer, bread crust, and roasted coffee led to a statistically significant increased OR in vitro compared to pale beer, bread crumb, and raw coffee. The consumption of a diet rich in MRPS significantly increased plasma OR compared to the diet poor in MRPs by 35.5%.This study indicates that thermally processed foods rich in MRPs inhibit the LDL oxidation in vitro and have the ability to reduce oxidative modification of LDL in vivo.  相似文献

For many drugs including antibiotics such as tetracyclines it is crucial that the molecule has the ability to quickly and passively permeate lipid membranes. Hence, the understanding of the permeability in relation to the molecular structure is an important aspect to rationally design novel pharmaceutically active compounds with high bioavailability. Here, we present a versatile method to study the kinetics of tetracycline permeation across liposome membranes on a microchip. Liposomes are immobilized onto the glass surface in a stripe pattern via an avidin-biotin bond and covered by microchannels to allow continuous delivery of tetracycline and buffer. The fluid flow provides a constant concentration profile and thereby resembles the drug transport via blood in the human body. Total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy was used to image the formation of a fluorescent drug-europium complex inside the liposomes. The permeation rates of various tetracyclines were investigated and the results compared to a conventional method (water-octanol partitioning). The findings largely confirm the correlation between membrane permeability and lipophilicity of the permeating molecules (Overton's rule). However, slight deviations reveal that lipophilicity is an important but not the exclusive parameter for the prediction of permeation. The method is fast enough to study the permeation of unstable tetracyclines such as rolitetracycline. Additionally, with the use of different cholesterol concentrations, the influence of membrane composition on the permeation rate can be investigated conveniently. The microfluidic approach can be easily applied to investigate the kinetics of other processes such as ligand-membrane receptor association and dissociation, provided that the process can be visualized by means of fluorescence spectroscopy.  相似文献
