Estimating the Characteristics of the Accuracy and Computational Complexity in Approximate Methods of Global Optimization of Nonlinear Functionals

We consider the estimation of the accuracy and computational complexity of the combined s-algorithm of the separation of all the solutions in a given bounded domain and their iterative correction up to the required accuracy in the approximate computational solution to multiextremum problems of global optimization of twice continuously differentiable functionals.     

Supported honeycomb monolith catalysts for high-temperature ammonia decomposition and H2S removal

Catalysts that have potential in simultaneous removal of H₂S and NH₃ decomposition were developed. The monolith supports of high surface area and acceptable mechanical strength based on titania and silica–alumina precursors were prepared and tested. Preparation routine and composition of Mn, Fe and Cu oxides supported honeycomb catalysts have been optimized. Impregnated and washcoated monolith catalysts were tested in ammonia high-temperature decomposition.     

Sustainable simultaneous communications in ad-hoc networks using smart antenna systems

This article proposes an analytical model for evaluating the number of simultaneous communications that can be sustained by an ad-hoc network in which the nodes are equipped with fully adaptive smart antennas. The presented mathematical framework adopts realistic models for the antenna radiation pattern and the channel behavior, and is able to take into account the network topology and the characteristics of the medium access control (MAC) protocol in the spatial domain. The model is employed to investigate the impact of the spatial channel model and of the angular spread on network performance. Additionally, this article examines the influence of the transmission policy of the control and data packets of the MAC layer on the number of simultaneous communications.     

Computer Technology of Constructing T-Efficient Algorithms for Computing ε-Solutions of Computational and Applied Mathematical Problems

A general technological scheme for constructing an algorithm used to calculate an approximate solution to a problem with certain initial data, set constraints for an approximate solution error and computation time under limited computation resources are considered in the paper.

An approach to construction of the efficient by complexity algorithms for calculation of -solutions is presented for problems of calculus and applied mathematics. The reserves which can be used in this approach are revealed. The present approach is illustrated by two classes of problems: approximation of functions and numerical integration.     

Magnetometric Studies of Catalyst Refuses in Nanocarbon Materials

It is shown that magnetometry can be employed as an effective tool to control the content of a ferromagnetic constituent in nanocarbon materials. We propose a thermochemical treatment protocol to achieve extensive cleaning of the source nanocarbon materials from ferromagnetic refuses.
