2D and 3D beam synthesis from different antenna array arrangements are investigated in this paper. Planar sunflower, conformal cylinderical and spherical helical array arrangements are studied. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique is used to predict the phase distribution on the array elements. The beam synthesis is achieved by comparing the array factor with a predetermined mask with both upper and lower limits according to the intented application requirements. Different 2D and 3D masks are used in beam synthesis as pencil, flat-top, and cosecant single beam are predicted. The planar sunflower antenna array is investigated due to its high gain, low side-lobe level (SLL) below ??20 dB and its compact size. The phase distribution of sunflower array is estimated using PSO to radiate dual-beams in different planes. Dual-beam with pencil, flat-top, and cosecant beams are obtained with different half-power beam widths. 3D conformal antenna arrays of cylindrical and spherical helical arrangements are studied. Each 3D conformal array consists of four arms shifted in position by 90° orintation angle. Each arm is designed to radiate single beam in a specific direction. Four-beams are considered to radiate in the directions of θ1,2,3,4?=?30°, and ?1?=?0°, ?2?=?90°, ?3?=?180°, and ?4?=?270° with SLL optimized below ??17 dB. The array arrangements analysis is based on the array theory formulation, through the implemention of the estimiated equation using a home programmed MATLAB code.
Smartphones have become an important way to store sensitive information; therefore, users’ privacy needs to be highly protected. This can be done by using the most reliable and accurate biometric identification system available today: iris recognition. This paper develops and tests an iris recognition system for smartphones. The system uses eye images that rely on visible wavelength; these images are acquired by the smartphone built-in camera. The development of the system passes through four main phases: the first phase is the iris segmentation phase, which is done in three steps to detect the iris region from the captured image, which contains the eye and part of the face using Haar Cascade Classifier training, pupil localization, and iris localization using a Circular Hough Transform. In the second phase, the system applies normalization using a Rubber Sheet model, which converts the iris image to a fixed size pattern. In the third phase, unique features are extracted from that pattern using a Deep Sparse Filtering algorithm. Finally, in the matching phase, seven different matching techniques are investigated to decide the most appropriate one the system will use to verify the user. Two types of testing are conducted: Offline and Online tests. The BIPLab database and a collected dataset are used to measure the accuracy of the system phases and to calculate the Equal Error Rate (EER) for the whole system. The average EER is 0.18 for the BIPLab database and 0.26 for the collected dataset. 相似文献

This paper proposes a novel highly linear digitally programmable fully differential operational transconductance amplifier (DPOTA) circuit. Two versions of the proposed DPOTA structure are designed. The first version is optimized for high-frequency operation with current division networks designated to 3-bit control code words. On the other hand, the second version is optimized for low-frequency operation with 4-bit control code words. The third-order harmonic distortion (HD3) of the first DPOTA version remains below ? 66 dB up to 0.4 V differential input voltage at 10 MHz frequency. The second DPOTA version achieved HD3 of ? 70 dB with an amplitude of 20 mVp–p and at 100 Hz frequency. The proposed circuits are designed and simulated in 90 nm CMOS model, BSIM4 (level 54) under a balanced 1.2 V supply voltage. 相似文献
This study investigated the impact of supplementing goats' milk with quinoa extracts, in the range of 5, 10 and 15 g/100 g on the milk fermentation. The properties of yoghurt produced from this milk, which include viscosity, microstructure and sensory acceptability, were assessed. The supplementation of goats' milk with quinoa extracts, particularly permeate extract, reduced the fermentation time and enhanced the viability of lactic acid bacteria. Supplementation of yoghurt with increased levels of quinoa extracts increased the apparent viscosity and changed the yoghurt protein matrix. Panellists highly accepted the yoghurt that contained quinoa permeate extract. 相似文献
The objectives of this study are the correlation between the oil samples recovered from the Lower Cretaceous reservoirs and Lower and Upper Cretaceous source rocks. The investigated biomarkers of five oils indicated the oils were derived from mixed marine and terrigenous (lacustrine) organic matter and deposited under suboxic to anoxic conditions. These oils were also generated from source rocks of high thermal maturity at the peak oil window. So, based on the molecular indicators of organic source input, depositional environment and maturity parameters of oils and extracts, we can conclude that the oil recovered from Al Baraka oil field were derived from Lower Cretaceous source rocks especially KomOmbo (B) source rocks where it reached the oil window. Furthermore, we can indicate that the other lower Cretaceous formations as Abu Ballas Formation will have the opportunity to generate and expel oil at the deeper part of the basin as shown in the eastern part of the basin. 相似文献
In the present work, mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) capped CdTe and CdHgTe quantum dots (QDs) are synthesized using a method based on the bottom up approach in aqueous medium. The CdTe QDs were prepared with a two different ratios of Cd:Te (3:1 and 4:1). It was noticed that there was a minimum concentration of MPA for each Cd:Te ratio. The resulting QDs were characterized using optical absorption spectroscopy, energy dispersion X-ray (EDX) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). It was found that the EDXs of CdTe and CdHgTe QDs showed that the stiochiometric ratios of CdTe obtained with Cd:Te ratio of 3:1 is 50:50 and for CdHgTe is 40:26:34 for 100?% of Hg. The band gap of CdHgTe QDs varies slightly with composition from 2.21?eV for a pure CdTe to 1.4?eV for a CdHgTe with 100?% of Hg. The HRTEM image showed a good dispersed nano-crystalline structure for the CdTe QDs with average size of 3–4?nm. The existence of the lattice planes on the HRTEM images of the QD indicated that the CdTe QDs are highly crystalline. In addition, the CdHgTe QDs size is 12?nm for 100?% of Hg. 相似文献
