A proper control design for safe and economic operation of industrial catalytic reactors requires a detailed study of transient and steady state behaviour. The present paper discusses contributions in this area with an emphasis on the stability problem. In addition, an attempt has been made to relate the stability of a fixed bed catalytic reactor to that of individual catalyst particles. Sufficient conditions for local stability of a two-dimensional and a one dimensional model for the reactor are obtained using the extension of Lyapunov stability theory to distributed parameter systems. For the two-dimensional model, the sufficient conditions are in the form of inequalities which require steady-state information. For the one dimensional model, the reactor is locally stable if and only if the slope of the heat removal line is greater than the slope of the heat generation curve at the steady state for small perturbations in temperature and concentration. 相似文献

The dissolution of kaolinite clay in hydrochloric acid solutions has been carried out in the presence of fluoride ions. Leaching in the presence of fluoride ions activates the clay for leaching, making higher extractions possible at lower roasting and leaching temperatures. The activation energy for the leaching of clay calcined at 540°C is decreased from 71 kJ/mol to 23 kJ/mol in the presence of fluoride ions. Dissolution in the presence of fluoride appears to fit a second-order reaction mechanism. 相似文献

Five malonanilide derivatives (M1-M5) were prepared by the reaction of ethyl malonate with aniline derivatives. These compounds were investigated as new stabilizers for double-base propellants (DBPs). The evaluation process has been performed through thermal stability tests, thermal analyses measurements (TGA and DSC) and kinetic parameters calculations (E(a)). The results of the new stabilizers were compared with the results of the classical stabilizer N, N-diethyldiphenyl urea. It has been found that o- and p-dinitromalonanilides, in particular, showed better stability effect for DBPs than the classical one. 相似文献

The Galerkin-weighted residuals formulation is employed to derive an implicit finite element solution algorithm for a generally non-linear initial-boundary value problem. Solution accuracy and convergence with discretization refinement are quantized in several error norms, for the non-linear parabolic partial differential equation system governing laminar boundary layer flow, using linear, quadratic and cubic functions. Richardson extrapolation is used to isolate integration truncation error in all norms, and Newton iteration is employed for all equation solutions performed in double-precision. The mathematical theory supporting accuracy and convergence concepts for linear elliptic equation appears extensible to the non-linear equations characteristic of laminar boundary layer flow. 相似文献

We report synthesis and characterization of two D-A polymers (PSDT-C12 and PSDT-EH) with different side chains. Both polymers are based on alternate 12,13-dioctyl-indolo[2,3-a][1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-c]carbazole (TDZIC) and dithienosilole derivative units in polymer main chain. We used TDZIC to enlarge the 2D conjugated plane of acceptor monomers by fusing benzothiadiazole (BT) unit with an indole unit having alkyl groups. PSDT-C12 exhibited 10 nm redshift compared to PSDT-EH in solid films, while their absorption spectra were almost identical in solutions. Since the backbone and side chains on the indolocarbazole group are the same, the redshift on PSDT-C12 could be resulted from the dodecyl (C12) side chain on the dithienosilole unit and different molecular weight between these two polymers. PSDT-C12 has a larger molecular weight than PSDT-EH. Therefore possibly both side chains and molecular weight contributed to the difference in the absorption spectra in solid films. The straight C-12 side chain has less steric hindrance than the branched EH side chain in solid films. PSDT-C12 has a longer main chain (larger molecule weight) than PSDT-EH, which can favour a more extended main chain interaction. The vibronic peak at 519 nm and shoulder at 563 nm in the PSDT-C12 film further confirmed stronger main chain interaction. Geometry optimization showed that head–tail (HT)-PSDT had a more twisting conjugated backbone with larger dihedral angle between dithienosilole unit and thiadiazole-fused ring compared to head–head/tail–tail (HH/TT)-PSDT. 相似文献

This paper introduces for the first time the generalized concept of the mutual inductance in the fractional‐order domain where the symmetrical and unsymmetrical behaviors of the fractional‐order mutual inductance are studied. To use the fractional mutual inductance in circuit design and simulation, an equivalent circuit is presented with its different conditions of operation. Also, simulations for the impedance matrix parameters of the fractional mutual inductance equivalent circuit using Advanced Design System and MATLAB are illustrated. The Advanced Design System and MATLAB simulations of the double‐tuned filter based on the fractional mutual inductance are discussed. A great matching between the numerical analysis and the circuit simulation appears, which confirms the reliability of the concept of the fractional mutual inductance. A novel fully differential digitally programmable current conveyor (DPCCII) is presented in this paper. The programmability of the proposed DPCCII is achieved using three‐bit MOS R‐2R ladder current division network. The DPCCII is used to realize a field programmable analog array (FPAA). The FPAA consists of seven configurable analog blocks arranged in a hexagonal form. The FPAA power consumption is 72.3 mW from 1 V voltage supply. A second‐order programmable universal filter is realized using the proposed FPAA as an application. ABSTRACT This paper presents the application of Kalman Filtering algorithm for tracking the power system voltage magnitude, the rate of change of the frequency, the frequency deviation as well as the voltage phase angle, when the the frequency of the voltage signal varies linearly with the time during the data window size. The proposed algorithm uses the digitized samples of the voltage signal at the relay location. Effects of sampling rate, data window size and the harmonics contaminating the voltage signal on the performance of the algorithm are studied. Three novel CMOS realizations for the fully differential voltage second‐generation inverting current conveyor (FDVCCII‐) are proposed in this paper. The first realization has a limited input range, and the other two realizations have a rail to rail input range and show excellent features in linearity and bandwidth. As an application to the FDVCCII‐, a floating gyrator is proposed. A floating inductor is realized using the floating gyrator and it is used in realizing a second‐order low‐pass filter, which is simulated and compared with the ideal result.
