Tellurite (TeO2-TiO2-Nb2O5) thin film glasses have been produced by pulsed laser deposition at room temperature at laser energy densities in the range of 0.8-1.5 J/cm2 and oxygen pressures in the range of 3-11 Pa. The oxygen concentration in the films increases with laser energy density to reach values very close to that of the bulk glass at 1.5 J/cm2, while films prepared at 1.5 J/cm2 and pressures above 5 Pa show oxygen concentration in excess of 10% comparing to the glass. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy shows the presence of elementary Te in films deposited at O2 pressures ≤ 5 Pa that is not detected at higher pressures, while analysis of Raman spectra of the samples suggests a progressive substitution of TeO3 trigonal pyramids by TeO4 trigonal bipyramids in the films when increasing their oxygen content. Spectroscopic ellipsometry analysis combined with Cauchy and effective medium modeling demonstrates the influence of these compositional and structural modifications on the optical response of the films. Since the oxygen content determines their optical response through the structural modifications induced in the films, those can be effectively controlled by tuning the deposition conditions, and films having large n (2.08) and reduced k (< 10− 4) at 1.5 μm have been produced using the optimum deposition conditions.  相似文献

Ethylene is a plant hormone controlling a wide range of physiological processes in plants. During postharvest storage of fruit and vegetables ethylene can induce negative effects including senescence, over-ripening, accelerated quality loss, increased fruit pathogen susceptibility, and physiological disorders, among others. Apart from the endogenous ethylene production by plant tissues, external sources of ethylene (e.g. engine exhausts, pollutants, plant, and fungi metabolism) occur along the food chain, in packages, storage chambers, during transportation, and in domestic refrigerators. Thus, it is a great goal in postharvest to avoid ethylene action. This review focuses on tools which may be used to inhibit ethylene biosynthesis/action or to remove ethylene surrounding commodities in order to avoid its detrimental effects on fruit and vegetable quality. As inhibitors of ethylene biosynthesis and action, good results have been found with polyamines and 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) in terms of maintenance of fruit and vegetable quality and extension of postharvest shelf-life. As ethylene scavengers, the best results can be achieved by adsorbers combined with catalysts, either chemical or biological (biofilters).  相似文献

In this paper a new explicit model of a radioscopic imaging system is presented. The model includes three parts: X-ray projection, image intensifier and CCD camera. The X-ray projection is modelled as a linear central projection. The image intensifier is modelled using a new explicit model that considers the curved input screen and the non-linear projection caused by electromagnetic fields. The CCD camera is modelled according to a general 2D projective transformation of the output screen of the image intensifier. Thus, the back-projection, required for 3D reconstruction, can be expressed in a closed-form. The model is compared to seven other known models. The presented model achieves high accuracy.  相似文献

In order to estimate the potential advantages of new chelating agents which can enhance copper excretion in the chronic copper intoxication arising in Wilson's disease, the relative ability of none chelating agents to induce the urinary excretion of copper was compared with that of D-penicillamine (DPA) and triethylenetetramine.2HCl (TRIEN), all given ip at 1 mmol/kg to male Sprague-Dawley rats. The compounds examined were as follows: tris(2-aminoethyl)-amine.3HCl (TREN), tetraethylenepentamine.5HCl (TETREN), pentaethylenehexamine.6HCl (PENTEN), 1,4,7,11-tetraazaundecane.4HCl (TAUD), 1,5,8,12-tetraazadodecane.4HCl (TADD), 1-N-benzyltriethylenetetramine.4HCl (BzTT), 4,7,10,13-tetraazatridecanoic acid.2H2SO4 (TTPA), 1,10-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazadecane.4HCl (BPTETA), and N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-4-(aminomethyl)benzoic acid (4ABA). Of these, BzTT, TTPA, and 4ABA are new chelating agents not previously reported. The factors by which these chelating agents enhanced copper excretion over control (untreated) levels were as follows: DPA, 7.2; TREN, 1.6; TRIEN, 4.0; TETREN, 10.1; PENTEN, 7.8; TAUD, 7.8; TADD, 2.6; TTPA, 5.6; BzTT, 1.8; and 4ABA, 5.5. The results indicate that it may well be possible to develop additional chelating agents which are equal or superior to those now used in the treatment of Wilson's disease, as well as structural types whose immunological properties may be significantly different from DPA or TRIEN, the compounds currently used in the clinic for this disorder.  相似文献

Classification of Potato Chips Using Pattern Recognition   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
ABSTRACT: An approach to classify potato chips using pattern recognition from color digital images consists of 5 steps: (1) image acquisition, (2) preprocessing, (3) segmentation, (4) feature extraction, and (5) classification. Ten chips prepared for each of the following 6 conditions were examined: 2 pretreatments (blanched and unblanched) at 3 temperatures (120°C, 150°C, and 180°C). More than 1500 features were extracted from each of the 60 images. Finally, 11 features were selected according to their classification attributes. Seven different classification cases (for example, classification of the 6 classes or distinction between blanched and unblanched samples) were analyzed using the selected features. Although samples were highly heterogeneous, using a simple classifier and a small number of features, it was possible to obtain a good performance value in all cases: classification of the 6 classes was in the confidence interval between 78% and 89% with a probability of 95%.  相似文献

The effect of transient, global cerebral ischemia on the distribution of endothelin (ET) in blood-brain barrier (BBB) in CA1 area of hippocampus long-time after ischemia was estimated using post-embedding immunogold technique. ET-like immunoreactivity as a gold particles was localized in all compartments of the blood-brain barrier e.g. in endothelial cells, in pericytes, in periendothelial space including basement membrane, and in astroglial processes. In control animal the density of labelling in all elements of BBB in CA1 area of hippocampus was moderate. ET-like immunoreactivity (ET-like IR) was estimated 1 week-12 months after ischemia. Intense ET-like IR in all elements of BBB was noted 2 and 6 months after ischemia. A potential pathophysiological role of endothelin in cerebral vasospasm in long-time after ischemia is well documented.  相似文献

Group B streptococcus (GBS) is the leading etiologic agent of bacterial meningitis and sepsis during the neonatal period, but it is an infrequent cause of meningitis in adults. We report 12 episodes of group B streptococcal meningitis in adults and review 52 cases reported in the literature. A total of 24 men and 40 women were included in the study; the mean age (+/- SD) was 49.2 +/- 20.5 years (range, 17-89 years). All the patients had cerebrospinal fluid cultures positive for GBS. Eighty-six percent of the patients had comorbid conditions, 50% had a distant focus of infection, and blood cultures yielded GBS for 78.7%. The overall case-fatality rate was 34.4% (22 patients). Factors associated with a poor outcome were advanced mean age (+/- SD) (61.5 +/- 17.4 years vs. 42.8 +/- 19.2 years; P = .0003) and the presence of complications on admission (P = .0001). Seven percent of survivors had neurological sequelae. Group B streptococcal meningitis in adults has become increasingly frequent in recent years; it tends to occur in patients with severe underlying conditions and is associated with a high case-fatality rate. Factors associated with a poor prognosis are advanced age and the occurrence of neurological and extraneurological complications.  相似文献

The influence of temperature and thermal treatments on the endopolygalacturonase activity produced byRhizopus nigricans was studied. The optimum temperature was at 50 °C. The enzymatic preparation also showed the highest endo pattern at this temperature. This endopolygalacturonase showed high thermostability between 90–100 °C and a bimodal behaviour in relation to the thermal treatments, because the enzyme was strongly inactivated at 70 °C. When the enzyme was treated at 90 and 70 °C consecutively, the inactivation at 70 °C was smaller.
Einfluß der verschiedenen thermischen Behandlungen der thermostabilen Endopolygalacturonase vonRhizopus nigricans
Zusammenfassung Es wurde der Einfluß der Temperatur und der thermischen Behandlungen auf die Aktivität der Endopolygalacturonase vonRhizopus nigricans studiert. Hierbei wurde eine optimale Endtemperatur von 50 °C erreicht, wobei das Enzym seinen maximalen Charakter als Endo-Enzym belegt. Diese Endopolygalacturonase zeigt die größte Thermostabilität zwischen 90 °–100 °C und ein bimodales Verhalten, wenn man bedenkt, daß das Enzym bei 70 °C stark inaktiv ist. Wenn das Enzym zweimal hintereinander bei 90 °C und 70 °C behandelt worden ist, hat dies die Konsequenz, daß die Inaktivität bei 70 °C weniger ist.
