The main aim of this study is to characterize the effect of some commercial detergents on whey proteins in order to select an efficient detergent to clean inorganic membranes fouled during the process of whey proteins fractionation. The influence of such variables such as time, pH, temperature, type and detergent concentration on the rate of protein hydrolysis has been established. Also, the nature and size of produced peptides have been determined. The most efficient values of cleaning parameters have been obtained by using the enzymatic detergent P3-Ultrasil 62.  相似文献

Convective drying of wastewater sludges and sawdust/sludge mixtures was studied. The first part of this work was an experimental study performed in a cross-flow convective dryer using 500 g of wet material extruded through a disk with circular dies of 12 mm. The results showed that the sawdust addition has a positive impact on the drying process from a mass ratio of 2/8, on a dry basis, with observed drying rates higher than the original sludge. The second part of this work consisted of developing a drying model in order to identify the internal diffusion coefficient and convective mass transfer coefficient from the experimental data. A comparison was made between fitted drying curves, well represented by the Newton's model, and the analytical solutions of the diffusion equation applied to a finite cylinder. Variations of dimensional characteristics, such as the volume and exchange surface of the sample bed, were obtained by X-ray tomography. This technique allowed us to confirm that shrinkage, which is an important phenomenon occurring during sludge and sawdust/sludge mixture drying, must be taken into account. The results showed that both the internal diffusion coefficient and convective mass transfer coefficient were affected by mixing and sawdust addition. The internal diffusion coefficient changed from 7.77 × 10?9 m2/s for the original sludge to 7.01 × 10?9 m2/s for the mixed sludge and then increased to 8.35 × 10?9 m2/s for the mixture of a mass ratio of 4/6. The convective mass transfer coefficient changed from 9.70 × 10?8 m/s for the original sludge to 8.67 × 10?8 m/s for the mixed sludge and then increased to 12.09 × 10?8 m/s for the mixture of a mass ratio of 4/6. These results confirmed that sawdust addition was beneficial to the sludge drying process as the mass transfer efficiency between the air and material increased. Reinforcing the texture of sludge by adding sawdust can increase the drying rate and decrease the drying time, and then the heat energy supply will be reduced significantly. The study also showed that neglecting shrinkage phenomenon resulted in an overestimation for the internal diffusion coefficient for the convective drying of sludges and sawdust/sludge mixtures.  相似文献

In this paper, we report on the use of X-ray tomography to visualize and quantify the gas–liquid interfacial area in modular catalytic distillation packing elements.The calculation method is based on processing of tomographic images. It is validated by comparing specific surface area determined on dry packings (Mellapak? 752Y and Katapak? SP12) tomographic binary images (gas and solid) to values announced by manufacturers, based on geometrical considerations. These data agree fairly well. However, tomographic images show that the specific area is not distributed uniformly over the height of a packing element due to the presence of perforations in corrugated sheets and of wall wipers between the packing and the column wall. X-ray tomography is a unique technique to access to the spatial distribution of these geometrical details in a non-intrusive way.The method used to determine the specific surface area of dry packing is then applied to irrigated packing in order to determine the gas–liquid interfacial area. The axial distribution of the interfacial area is non-uniform and is correlated to the packing specific area. The maxima of the specific surface area correspond to the presence of wall wipers.The gas–liquid interfacial area averaged over the column length is determined. It increases logically with the liquid superficial velocity and slightly with the gas velocity. The effect of the gas velocity is however more pronounced when reaching loading point.  相似文献

Fluorinated polyacrylates are highly hydrophobic and oleophobic. However, their poor mechanical properties prevent their development in many applications. Combination of a fluorinated polyacrylate network with a rigid cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) network in an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) architecture is an effective method for improving the mechanical properties of fluorinated polyacrylates. IPNs combining poly(3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8‐tridecafluorooctyl acrylate) (polyAcRf6) with CAB were prepared according to an in situ polymerization/crosslinking synthesis. CAB was crosslinked by addition between unmodified hydroxyl groups and the isocyanate of a pluri‐isocyanate crosslinker. The fluorinated network was obtained through free‐radical copolymerization of 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8‐tridecafluorooctyl acrylate with poly(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate). The rates of formation of both networks were followed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) of IPNs show a single glass transition temperature and a single mechanical relaxation temperature, which are characteristic of a high degree of interpenetration between the partner networks. The mechanical properties of IPNs are greatly improved compared with those of the single fluorinated network. CAB/polyAcRf6 IPNs were prepared, and characterized using DSC and DMTA as well as contact angle measurements for their surface properties. The effect of a Lewis acid addition to a coking coal on the porosity and reactivity towards steam of the resulting iron enriched coal chars are studied. GIC (FeCl3 graphite intercalation compound) or free FeCl3 are used as iron containing additives. Coal iron enrichment was performed using either directly FeCl3 in vapour phase, or by mixing of coal and additives in decaline or by common grinding of coal and additives under argon. Iron enriched coals were carbonized at 750°C (heating RATE = 5°C min) and activation made with pure steam at 800°C to a burn-off off of 50 wt%. The pore structures of coal chars before and after activation were evaluated on the basis of CO2 and C6H6 sorption at 25°C. A significant development of the microporosity is observed in the iron enriched char before activation and its steam reactivity is also increased. After activation, BET surface area values are increased in presence of iron, and porosity is mainly microporous.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to investigate the possibility of predicting the quality parameters of tomato by mid-infrared spectroscopy. For 2 years, tomato samples, representing a large variability in the chemical composition, were scanned using the attenuated total reflectance accessory of a Fourier transform spectrometer in the wavenumber region between 4000 and 400 cm−1. Calibration models were developed using partial least squares (PLS) regression method and were tested with internal validation sample set in the first year. Different spectral preprocessing techniques were investigated and different spectral regions were selected to optimise the calibration models. In addition, the models obtained in 2007 were used to predict the soluble solids, dry matter and total acidity in tomato harvested in 2008.  相似文献

Effects of Botrytis cinerea infection on Champagne wine foaming properties   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Qualitative effects of Botrytis cinerea infection were studied by comparing the foaming properties of Champagnes obtained from healthy grapes with those from grapes infected by B cinerea. This is of particular interest when it is considered that the foaming properties of Champagne wines are important in terms of product attractiveness for the consumer. Experiments using artificial viewing equipment clearly showed the dramatic effects on Champagne foam characteristics when grape berries were highly infected. The speed at which liquid separated from the foam (expressed as liquid height LS) in the glass depended largely on the level of infection for Chardonnary and Pinot noir wines (+268% for Chardonnary wines at 40% infection and +627% for Pinot noir wines at 20% infection). B cinerea infection reduced the time (LT) at which liquid first appeared in the glass; for Pinot noir wines an infection level of 20% caused very rapid drainage. The time of pouring (PT, ie the time to fill the glass under controlled conditions) also diminished considerably at an infection level of 20% for both Pinot noir and Pinot meunier wines (?74 and ?58% respectively). Mouldiness considerably altered the foam height observed 80 s (H80) after the start of pouring (?83% for Pinot noir and ?89% for Pinot meunier at 20% infection). Champagne foamability was also quantified using a sparging technique to standardise effervescence. Foamability suffered considerably (?60 to ?65%) when the B cinerea infection level was 20% as compared to control Champagnes. All wines studied had low and very similar protein contents. Differences in the concentrations of these compounds, which are generally implicated in the formation of foam in sparkling wines, could not explain the differences in Champagne foaming properties observed here. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Nowadays, the simulation of forming process is rather well integrated in the industrial numerical codes. However, in order to take into account the possible modifications of the tool during rates of working, a dedicated numerical software is currently developed within the laboratory Roberval, this software allows to simulate forming process. The tool is discretized by boundary elements and the product, which is subjected to non-linearities, is discretized by finite elements. For the product, an isotrope law of behaviour is integrated, and the damage is taken into account by the uncoupled Rice and Tracey model. This paper deals with a contact algorithm, coupling boundary elements and finite elements, programmed in the software KSP. For that, friction is described by the Coulomb law and the resolution of contact problems is done by the penalty method. An adaptive step has been developed in order to increase the robustness of the contact algorithm.  相似文献
