In this paper, we propose a system-level design methodology for the efficient exploration of the architectural parameters of the memory sub-systems, from the energy-delay joint perspective. The aim is to find the best configuration of the memory hierarchy without performing the exhaustive analysis of the parameters space. The target system architecture includes the processor, separated instruction and data caches, the main memory, and the system buses. To achieve a fast convergence toward the near-optimal configuration, the proposed methodology adopts an iterative local-search algorithm based on the sensitivity analysis of the cost function with respect to the tuning parameters of the memory sub-system architecture. The exploration strategy is based on the Energy-Delay Product (EDP) metric taking into consideration both performance and energy constraints. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology has been demonstrated through the design space exploration of a real-world case study: the optimization of the memory hierarchy of a MicroSPARC2-based system executing the set of Mediabench benchmarks for multimedia applications. Experimental results have shown an optimization speedup of 2 orders of magnitude with respect to the full search approach, while the near-optimal system-level configuration is characterized by a distance from the optimal full search configuration in the range of 2%.  相似文献

This paper presents some of the theoretical predictions and experimental results for the steady-state characteristics of a gas-lubricated, pivoted-pad journal bearing of finite length. An analytical expression for the prediction of load-carrying capacity for these bearings is developed from numerical computer solutions. Sample calculations are presented to show how the theoretical data may be utilized in the design of an actual pivoted-pad bearing. Improvements over previous approximate theories are discussed.  相似文献

The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of hydrocolloid addition on rheological properties and breadmaking performance of rice-buckwheat batter at different water levels. Xanthan gum (XG) and propylene glycol alginate (PGA) were added to rice-buckwheat blend (60:40) at levels of 0.5–1.5%. Batter rheological properties were investigated using dynamic measurements in the linear viscoelastic range (frequency sweep and time cure tests). The addition of both hydrocolloids significantly enhanced the storage modulus (G′) of batter. XG exerted greater effect on G′ than PGA. Different effects on starch gelatinisation were observed for the two hydrocolloids. PGA breads showed higher improvement in terms of increased specific volume (Vs), decreased crumb firmness and crumb structure than XG breads. Different technological behaviours were explained on the basis of batter rheological properties.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new MRAS method to estimate the mechanical quantities in a double fed induction machine. In the traditional formulation the integral term, introduced by the PI MRAS regulator, is canceled in the transfer function between the estimated and the real speed. As a novelty, an additional term depending on the reference rotor flux through a constant gain g is introduced in the adjustable model of the MRAS. This innovation restores the integral term in the transfer function. As a consequence, during the closed loop operation, the estimated speed does not exhibit anymore a steady state error. The influence of the inverter non-linearities and of the non-linear rotor brush resistance on the speed estimation is also discussed. Some experimental tests validate the proposed method.  相似文献

An experimental and theoretical analysis of the externally gas-pressurized, porous wall, rotating and nonrotating journal bearing is presented. The theoretical results are found to be in good agreement with the experimental ones.

The proposed numerical method enables one to design a bearing and to evaluate the influence of journal rotation speed and gas compressibility on its operational performance.  相似文献

An analysis of a system of hydrostatic bearings used to support a rigid structure subjected to either specified loads or movements is described, and results of sample problems are shown. The governing equations are developed, considering generalized system supply circuitry and arbitrary selection of fixed type compensating elements for each bearing. The equations have been programmed for solution on a high-speed digital computer. The methods of solution and conceptual flow chart of the program are described. From specified loads (or alternatively displacements) of a point on the body chosen as the origin, individual bearing performance parameters, resultant body displacements (or alternatively loads), and the hydraulic system parameters are determined.  相似文献

Quercetin shows interesting pharmacological effects, but its use in topical applications is limited by its low skin permeability and solubility. In this work, the synthesis of highly lipophilic quercetin esters with oleic, linoleic and linolenic acid useful as topical quercetin prodrugs is reported. Partial OH esterification is advisable to maintain the antioxidant activity of these compounds; tetraesters and triesters can be achieved by modulating the reaction conditions utilized for the total esterification of quercetin. The chemical structures of the esters were proven by spectroscopic techniques; quantum chemical NMR calculation were mandatory to unequivocally assign the free position in triesters. Finally, the antioxidant activity of all the synthesized compounds was determined by the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl method and by 2,2-azinobis(3-ethyl-benzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) assay.  相似文献
