Crosslinking of polypropylene–polyethylene (PP-PE) blends involving 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90% of PP with dicumylperoxide (DCP) or tert-butyl perbenzoate (TBPB) and in the presence of coagent pentaerythritol tetrallyl ether (PETA) was investigated at 180°C. It was found that at lower concentrations of peroxide alone (e.g., 2.5% of DCP) only PE component is crosslinked in all compositions of PP-PE blends. In the crosslinking of PP-PE 50:50 with 4% of TBPB, insoluble gel was obtained, which contained 13% PP and 87% PE. If 2% PETA was also used, the portion of PP in gel increased to 39%; the total yield of gel in PP-PE blend increased from 50 to 70%. The lower crosslinking efficiency of coagent PETA in the PP-PE blends compared with PP alone is associated with better solubility of the coagent in the PE phase in contrast to the PP phase. The coagent does not particularly raise the crosslinking efficiency of peroxide in PE, but increases it in the PP phase. A remarkable decrease in melting temperature and temperature of crystallization of both polymer components depending on peroxide concentration was found by calorimetric measurements.  相似文献

This paper focuses on wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) of devices made from commercially available sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) rare-earth magnets that have been magnetized before machining. We conduct an experimental study to quantify the effects of the voltage and capacitance of an RC-type WEDM machine, as well as the magnet polarity, on slicing rate, mean kerf, and variation in kerf. We find that voltage and capacitance affect slicing rate, that voltage affects mean kerf, that no parameters tested affect the variation in kerf, and that the polarity of the magnet being machined does not affect the machining process. Linear regression is used to fit simple predictive models to the data with good agreement. Further analysis is performed to characterize the loss in permanent magnetization on the surface of the magnet due to heating during the machining process, and it is found that the outer layer of approximately 35 μm in depth is demagnetized when using the highest voltage and capacitance values tested.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical, ductile cutting force model of a novel micromachining tool that is based on micro-orbital motion of a single-point tool tip. The single-point tool tip used in this study is a single crystal diamond stylus that consists of a cone section of 50° and a spherical tip with radius less than 1 μm. The tool is actuated by a piezo tube that generates a high frequency micro-orbital motion of a single-point tool tip in a circular trajectory. Unlike conventional micromilling, where the cutting occurs at the edges of the tool flutes, a single-point tool may utilize any point on the circumference surface of the tool tip. Also, due to its extreme negative rake angle at small depths of cut, the technique can machine brittle materials such as silicon in the ductile regime. Experiments were performed on an aluminum alloy (AL2024) to obtain the specific cutting force and the coefficient of friction in order to calculate the cutting forces in all 3 axes and to verify the model.  相似文献

Investigations on metal-cutting machining processes that were conducted since the second half of the twentieth century have considerably contributed to disclosing the principles underlying the cutting process. Although numerous studies have been carried out on this subject, a generally valid model of the cutting process and the interactions in the separating processes does not exist yet. Such a model could guarantee the disclosure of the principles of thermodynamic interactions between the cutting process and the involved machine structure. This contribution is twofold and presents an experimental setup used to determine cutting forces and temperatures in orthogonal cutting processes. The results are then used as a reference for simulations made with the Discrete Element Method (DEM). The DEM is due to its meshless nature well suited to capture large deformations and rupture of material which is included very naturally. It is examined to which extent the measured results can be captured with the DEM model.  相似文献

A newly designed adaptronic component with a powerful piezo-stack actuator for active damping of machine vibrations is presented in this paper. Especially for machine tools with parallel kinematics, which feature lightweight structures and which are built in order to obtain high processing speeds, the active damping of machine vibrations is important to achieve the desired system performance. Extensive simulation studies with flexible multibody systems in order to test different control algorithms such as dissipative control, integrated force feedback or H2/H control and recent experimental results show the high potential to improve the system behavior.  相似文献

Evidence from recent psycholinguistic experiments suggests that humans resolve reference incrementally in the presence of constraining visual context. In this paper, we present and evaluate a computational model of human reference resolution that directly builds a semantic interpretation of an utterance without the need for a separate syntactic analysis phase, which typically involves the construction of parse trees. The model is implemented on a robot using real audio and video inputs, (thus it operates in real time), and is distributed over several computers, which run in parallel. Results from experiments with the model confirm the viability of the algorithm to process semantic interpretations, in particular reference incrementally, as demonstrated to be employed by humans.  相似文献

In continuation of previous investigations aiming at the development of macromolecular metal complexes for biomedical use, this communication describes poly(alkylene oxide)-grafted polymeric platinum complexes. The platinum-containing macromolecules are obtained from presynthesized polyaspartamide carriers bearing poly(ethylene/propylene oxide) side chains and hydroxyethyl side groups as hydrosolubilizing units in addition to ethylenediamine side group terminals for metal coordination. Platination is brought about by treatment of the carriers with tetrachloroplatinate(II) ion in aqueous solution at 25–60°C. pH 4–6. The polymeric products, purified by dialysis in aqueous solution, are isolated by freeze-drying in yields of 60–80%. Platinum contents are in the range of 4–15%. The metal is bound to the carrier through chelation with the ethylenediamine ligands, forming square-planarcis-dichloroethylenediamine-platinum(II) complex species as side-chain terminals. Initially, the product polymers dissolve smoothly in water. Although on room-temperature storage in the solid state they gradually turn insoluble as a consequence of intermolecular solid-state interaction, solubility is retained on low-temperature storage and in frozen aqueous solutions.  相似文献

The ozonation of cyclooctene and cyclododecene in ethanol was studied at 278 K in a stirred reactor with a flat gas/liquid interface. The parallel reactions with ethanol in the gas and the liquid phase had to be accounted for. At high cyclooctene concentrations, ozone transfer into the liquid phase was enhanced by up to a factor of E = 325. Due to the high ozone solubility and the high enhancement factors, up to half of the mass transfer resistance was on the gas-side. The reaction rate constant k2 is more than threefold higher for cyclooctene as compared to cyclododecene.  相似文献

Treatment of acidic iron- and sulfate-rich mine waters in a pilot plant at the opencast lignite mining pit Nochten (Lusatia, Germany) involves microbial iron oxidation and subsequent precipitation of the iron-oxyhydroxysulfate schwertmannite. To determine if recirculation of schwertmannite can stabilize and optimize the oxidation process, cell number, viability, and diversity of the bacterial community in schwertmannite precipitated on carrier material and stored schwertmannite were analyzed. In schwertmannite on carrier material, the total cell number decreased slightly with increasing mineral depth, whereas the percentage of viable cells decreased significantly. The microbial community, investigated by fluorescence-in-situ-hybridization (FISH) and terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP), revealed the presence of the iron-oxidizing bacterium “Ferrovum” sp. and relatives of Gallionella, independent of mineral depth. Analysis of the viability of microorganism in stored schwertmannite indicated an almost constant percentage of viable cells over 42 days.  相似文献
