Summary
New UV curable methacrylated urethanes (PAPHEN-XIEM) were synthesized by substituting X percent (e.g., 10, 20, 30 %) of the
total OH content of the PAPHEN-301 (Scheme 1) with isocyanatoethyl methacrylate (IEM). These resins were used alone (neat
resin formulation) or as a mixture of 5, 10 and 13 % (w/w) respectively with methacrylated urethane prepolymer (PTHFUMA) in
UV systems. For neat resin formulations, tensile strength and modulus values were observed to be inversely proportional with
the modification degree of PAPHEN-301 as opposed to what is normally expected. This may be explained as a result of screening
effect of increasing unsaturation. The water absorption capacities for neat resins and PTHFUMA-included formulations were
decreased as the modification degree increased due to the replacement of hydrophilic OH groups of PAPHEN-301 by the hydrophobic
methacrylate groups. TGA thermograms of neat resin formulation show that, initial weight loss temperatures are lower; possibly
owing to the higher methacrylate content in the formulations.

The products of pyrolysis at 525 and 840 °C of two asphaltites from South-Eastern Turkey have been analysed and compared with the bitumen obtained by solvent extraction. The yield of oil product is reasonably similar for all three treatments, with gas (hydrogen, ethene, C1C4 alkanes and hydrogen sulphide) being liberated during pyrolysis. Greater percentages of alkanes with shorter chain lengths (along with some alkenes), and of pentane-soluble aromatic oils with reduced molecular masses, are generated during pyrolysis, at the expense of asphaltenes. The extra alkanes are generated partly by the cracking of aromatic side-chains and also from kerogen. Pyrolysis reduces the number of sulphur linkages in the oil, but nitrogen- and oxygen-containing structures are liberated from kerogen during heating. 相似文献

In this experimental study, lap shear strength and electrical conductivity of nanohybrid adhesives containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and silver (Ag) nanoparticles were investigated. Ag nanoparticles were produced via arc-discharge method in liquid nitrogen. For characterizing the Ag nanoparticles, X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were performed. Tensile lap shear properties were determined in accordance with ASTM D 1002-10 standard. Mechanical and the electrical properties of nanohybrid adhesives were compared with neat epoxy adhesive. The best electrical conductivity of nanohybrid adhesive was obtained for the 1% wt MWCNT-2% wt Ag-contained sample. However, the samples which contain 0.5% wt. MWCNT–0.5% wt. Ag nanoparticles reached the highest lap shear strength. The results showed that Ag nanoparticles enhance the conductivity in the presence of MWCNT. It is concluded that the MWCNT act as conductivity bridges among epoxy adhesive and facilitate the electron transfer. As seen in the tensile test results, the ductility of the adhesive was improved by adding the nanoparticles in to the epoxy resin. 相似文献

Background: Conclusion Instability in software effort estimation (SEE) refers to the inconsistent results produced by a diversity of predictors using different datasets. This is largely due to the “ranking instability” problem, which is highly related to the evaluation criteria and the subset of the data being used. Aim: To determine stable rankings of different predictors. Method: 90 predictors are used with 20 datasets and evaluated using 7 performance measures, whose results are subject to Wilcoxon rank test (95 %). These results are called the “aggregate results”. The aggregate results are challenged by a sanity check, which focuses on a single error measure (MRE) and uses a newly developed evaluation algorithm called CLUSTER. These results are called the “specific results.” Results: Aggregate results show that: (1) It is now possible to draw stable conclusions about the relative performance of SEE predictors; (2) Regression trees or analogy-based methods are the best performers. The aggregate results are also confirmed by the specific results of the sanity check. Conclusion: This study offers means to address the conclusion instability issue in SEE, which is an important finding for empirical software engineering. 相似文献

In Turkish kitchen, Cyclotrichium niveum, which is consumed as a dietary supplement, have been extensively used in soup and food for their odor and flavor. The present study examines the possible antioxidant, antimicrobial and radical scavenging capacity of Cyclotrichium niveum (Boiss.) Manden and Scheng. In order to evaluate antioxidant and radical scavenging activity different in vitro methodologies such as 2,2´-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging activity, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH·) free radical scavenging, total antioxidant activity by ferric thiocyanate, total reducing power by potassium ferricyanide reduction method, superoxide anion radical scavenging, hydrogen peroxide scavenging, and ferrous ions chelating activities were used. In addition, antimicrobial and antifungal activity of the both extracts tested against twenty five microorganisms. Total phenolic compounds and total flavonoids contents in water extract of Cyclotrichium niveum (Boiss.) Manden. & Scheng (WECN) and ethanol extract of Cyclotrichium niveum (Boiss.) Phenolic compounds in olive fruit and oils obtained from Ayval?k, Domat and Gemlik olive varieties collected at different ripening periods were evaluated by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Gallic acid and p-cumaric acid were identified for Ayval?k and Domat at each period of ripening, respectively. In addition, gallic acid, p-cumaric acid, sinapinic and apigenin acids were detected in Gemlik olive fruit. Hydroxytyrosol, rutin, oleoropein, luteolin, tyrosol, vanilic acid and gallic acid in Ayval?k olive fruit in all ripening periods were determined. The tyrasol contents varied between 0.18 to 1.57 mg/kg. Luteolin contents of olive oils ranged at the levels between 0.12 to 2.28 mg/kg. In contrast, oils had the lowest syringic, p-cumaric, chlorogenic and ferulic acids. Vanillic acid contents of oils ranged between 0.08 to 2.38 mg/kg. 相似文献

The present study investigated the use of expanded perlite (e-perlite) as a sustainable and cost-effective filler for EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber composites. Various amounts of e-perlite were incorporated into EPDM to assess its impact on the composite properties, such as curing characteristics, physical and mechanical properties, crosslink density, thermal conductivity, thermal stability, surface roughness, and contact angle. The composite with 15 phr of e-perlite exhibited approximately 20% higher crosslink density and a 12% increase in hardness, while slight decreases were observed in elongation at break and tensile strength. The FE-SEM (field emission-scanning electron microscopy), atomic force microscopy, and contact angle analysis have been performed to investigate the surface morphology and the hydrophobicity. The thermal properties of the composites were assessed through thermogravimetric analysis, thermal aging tests, and thermal conductivity measurements. The results showed that e-perlite significantly improved the aging resistance and the thermal stability. The composites with 15 phr e-perlite exhibited a 21% reduction in thermal conductivity and enhanced thermal isolation properties compared to the EPDM composite without e-perlite. This work demonstrated the potential utilization of e-perlite in EPDM as a green sustainable filler to enhance the thermal insulation and the stability properties of the composites, which may have practical applications in automotive, aerospace, construction, and electronic industries. 相似文献
