The effects of addition of vitamin D3 and vitamin E to pig diets on blood plasma calcium concentration, meat quality (longissimus muscle) and antioxidative capacity were investigated. Two treatments consisted of supplementation with vitamin D3 (500,000 IU/d) for 5 days separately (group D) and a combination of vitamin E (500 mg α-tocopheryl acetate/kg diet) for 30 days and vitamin D3 (500,000 IU/d) for 5 days (group D + E) to growing-finishing pigs before slaughter. Pigs fed with vitamin D3 had higher (P < 0.01) plasma calcium concentration compared with control pigs. Dietary supplementation of vitamin E significantly (P < 0.05) increased the concentration of α-tocopherol in meat (longissimus muscle). Vitamin D3 supplementation resulted in higher (P = 0.07) a values of loin chops at 5 days of storage. Vitamin D3 and vitamin E supplementation did not affect other meat quality characteristics or tenderness (quantified by Warner–Bratzler shear force). Antioxidative capacity (measured as MDA production after incubation of longissimus muscle homogenates with Fe2+/ascorbate) was improved by vitamin E and partly by vitamin D3 supplementation.  相似文献

In this study, the pre-buckling and post-buckling behaviors of layered composite plates which were made of woven carbon fiber fabric with a circular hole in the middle were investigated experimentally and numerically. Firstly, load-displacement graphs of composite plates with different hole diameters were experimentally obtained under compressive load. Then the numerical load-displacement graphs of the plates were found with the ANSYS package program which used the finite element method. As a result, after linear buckling experimental and numerical results were found to be compatible with each other. In addition, damage behavior of plates after buckling with the aid of Tsai-Wu damage criterion was obtained similar to experimental results. The increase in hole diameter did not change the load-displacement behavior characteristics of the plates after buckling. However, it has reduced maximum damage load and maximum failure displacement. The stress at the perimeter of the hole increased significantly with the increase of the vertical displacement with immediately after the buckling but later was not significantly affected by this increase.

Previous studies on house prices tend to focus on parameters such as location, size and view. Such studies ignored the influence of environmental aesthetics on house prices. Considering the scientific evidence that showed a significant effect of environmental aesthetic on people’s environmental preference and behaviour, this study aims to investigate the influence of environmental aesthetic on estimated house prices. Twelve computer-simulated residential environments were created. Computer-simulated images vary on three categories to manipulate complexity and coherence along a street: (1) building location (attached, detached and both), (2) building height (same and different) and (3) building setback (same and different). Forty-seven university students viewed the computer-simulated environments and answered questions to evaluate aesthetic and economic values of each street. For the aesthetic value, participants evaluated the extent to which the environment is arousing, pleasant, exciting, relaxing, complex, coherent and safe. For the economic value, participants estimated market price (for sale and for rent) of a specific apartment on a computer simulation of a residential street. Results showed that estimated sale price was influenced by excitement, coherence and pleasantness; estimated rental price was influenced by complexity, arousal, coherence and pleasantness. This study aimed to pave the way for such studies by introducing an inspiring methodology and highlighting the importance of environmental aesthetics on house prices. Moreover, the findings have applied value for planners, urban designers and real estate agents.  相似文献

The optimisation problems related to the assignment of tasks to workstations in assembly and disassembly lines have been largely discussed in the literature. They are known, respectively, as Assembly Line Balancing and Disassembly Line Balancing Problems. In this study, both types of task performed on the identical product are integrated in a common hybrid production system. Therefore, the logistic process is simplified and disassembly tasks can supply easier the assembly tasks with the required components. The considered production system has the layout of two parallel lines with common workstations. The product flow is conventional in the assembly line and reverse in the disassembly line. The paper provides a new mathematical model for designing such a hybrid system and an approximate approach based on ant colony optimisation for solving large-scale instances. The solution method is tested in a case study. The obtained results are compared with the solution provided by the design of two independent lines. The analysis of the results highlights the potential benefits of the hybrid production system.  相似文献

Rigid polyurethane (PU) foam is used as a thermal insulating and supporting material in domestic refrigerator/freezers and it is produced by reaction injection molding (RIM) process. There is a need to improve the thermal property of rigid PU foam but this is still a challenging problem. Accordingly, this work investigates the RIM process parameters to evaluate their effects on rigid PU foam's structure and hence property. It has been found that mold temperature is a key parameter whereas curing time has negligible effect on structure of PU foam. Cell size, strut thickness, and foam density have been found very critical in controlling the thermal and mechanical properties. Upper and lower values of 30 to 32 kg/m3 density are critical to observe contribution of radiation and solid conductivity separately. Finally, PU foam with 160 µm average cell size, 16 µm strut thickness, below 10% open cell content, and 30 to 32 kg/m3 density allow obtaining better thermal insulation without significant reducing in the compressive strength. The presented work provides a better understanding of processing‐structure‐property relationship to gain knowledge on producing high‐quality rigid PU foams with improved properties. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Undoped and Dy3+‐doped barium tantalate phosphors were synthesized by the solid‐state reaction method at 1425°C. Also, 10 mol% Dy3+‐doped BaTa2O6 was sintered between 1150 and 1425°C in order to determine temperature effect on structural and luminescence properties. Afterwards, they were characterized by XRD, SEM‐EDS and photoluminescence (PL) analyses. PL spectra exhibited the excitation peaks between 300 and 440 nm. Two typical emissions were observed at 486.2 nm (blue) and 577.7 nm (yellow) due to the 4F9/26H15/2 and 4F9/26H13/2 transitions, respectively. Emission intensities increased with increasing doping concentration of Dy3+ up to 10 mol% and then decreased due to the concentration quenching effect. Moreover, depending on the increase in heat treatment temperature, the intensity of emission reached maximum at 1425°C. The calculated CIE chromaticity coordinates of phosphors located in the white light region.  相似文献

Fragility curves are used to represent the probabilities that the structural damages, under various level of seismic excitation, exceed specified damage states by means of earthquake intensity–damage relations. In this study, the fragility curves have been developed for comparative seismic evaluation of several retrofitting measures by incorporation of fluid viscous (VS) dampers applied to a representative high-rise reinforced concrete (R/C) office building located in Istanbul. In the retrofitting strategies considered, similar type of VS dampers was used and designed to provide the structure with three different effective damping ratios of 10%, 15%, and 20%. In the fragility analysis, a set of 240 artificially generated earthquake ground motions compatible with the design spectrum selected to represent the variability in ground motion was employed to study nonlinear dynamic responses of the structures before and after retrofit. Four damage states: slight, moderate, major, and collapse were defined to express the condition of damage. The fragility curves in this study are represented by lognormal distribution functions with two parameters and developed as a function of peak ground acceleration (PGA), spectral acceleration (Sa), spectral displacement (Sd). Comparison of the fragility curves indicated that the VS dampers were very effective in attenuating seismic structural response under various earthquake ground motions. It was also found that a two-fold reduction in the probability of exceeding damage states might be achieved by introducing passive VS damper systems.  相似文献

This study focuses mainly on the prediction of saturated flow boiling heat transfer in microchannels. A wide range of experiments has been carried out with de-ionized water to obtain a comprehensive data set. Experiments of mass fluxes of 51–728.7 kg/m2s, wall heat fluxes of 36–221.7 kW/m2, vapor qualities of 0.01–0.69, liquid Reynolds number of 7.72–190, aspect ratios of 0.37–5.00 (with a constant hydraulic diameter of 100 µm) and hydraulic diameters of 100–250 µm (for constant aspect ratio = 1). A new correlation including the aspect ratio effect is proposed to predict the heat transfer coefficient for saturated flow boiling in microchannels. The proposed correlation shows very good predictions with an overall mean absolute error of 16.9% and 86.4%, 96.2% and 99.5% of the predicted data falling within ±30, ±40 and ±50% error bands, respectively.  相似文献
