Zusammenfassung Unter Verhältnissen, wie sie praktisch bei Induktionsmaschinen vorkommen, ist für ungesättigte, unendlich dünne Zahnkopfstege und bei gegebenem LuftspaltB _min/B _max nur von dem Nutenschlitz abhängig. Für die offene Nut mit derselben Schlitzöffnung istB _min/B _max größer, der Cartersche Faktor kleiner als für die oben gekennzeichnete Nut. Der von Weber angegebene Verlauf der Induktion im Luftspalt [13] entspricht auch bei gesättigten Zahnspitzen nicht der Wirklichkeit.     

AN INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING THE WORKABILITY OF CLAYS *

An instrument is described for measuring quantitatively the workability of clays, using the principle of twisting rapidly a tubular test specimen and recording the stress-strain diagram. Some results are given to indicate the value of this instrument.
