Histories of deliveries and development records of 44 newborns with penumopathies who had died on the first days of life in the presence of phenomena of the syndrome of respiratory disorder were analysed and the newborns' lungs were morphologically investigated. The investigation made it possible to single out the following forms of pneumopathy in newborns: edematous-hemorrhagic, hyaline, atelectatic, aspirated, and mixed. In the majority of cases the syndrome of respiratory disorder was a sequela of hypoxia of the intrauterine origin which continued during the first hours and days of life after birth. Such "primary asphyxia" may lead to the development of pneumopathy in a neonate. On the other hand, "secondary asphyxia" in many cases represent sequelae of penumopathy destructural and functional immaturity of the pulmonary tissue, hypoxia, a higher permeability of vessels of the microcirculatory bed, spasm of small pulmonary arteris contributed considerably to the development of penumopathies. 相似文献

We prove two results that provide new fundamental limits for topology control in large ad hoc and sensor networks. First,
we show that it remains true under very general conditions that the maximum expected node degree must grow to infinity at
least logarithmically if we want to maintain asymptotic connectivity. This has been known so far only for much more special
models than ours. Building on this result, we prove a new fundamental limit regarding link dynamics, which means the worst case length ratio of the longest and shortest link adjacent to the same node. We prove that if link
dynamics remains bounded, then no topology control algorithm can keep a large network connected with high probability. Moreover,
bounded link dynamics prevents connectivity in the limit without any a priori assumption on node degrees or transmission ranges.
Our results hold in a model that is much more general than the frequently used assumption of uniformly distributed nodes in
a regularly shaped planar domain. Our more abstract setting also aims at finding (hopefully) more robust and elegant proofs
that have less dependence on the special geometry. Since link dynamics is expected to be bounded in practice, the results
strenghten the theoretical basis for the argument that a very large ad hoc or sensor network is unable to maintain connectivity
if it has a flat, random organization without additional structure.

ABSTRACTThe construction of PVC matrix-type β-blockers (sotalol, carvedilol, and betaxolol) ion selective electrodes and their use for direct potentiometry of their respective species are described. The proposed sensors are based on the complex ion associates of β-blockers with tungstophosphate (TP) and Ammonium Reineckate (Rein) ionophoris in poly vinyl chloride membrane (PVC) with Dioctylphthalate (DOP) plasticizer. The four electrodes (Beta-TP), (Sota-TP), (Carve-TP), and (Cave-Rein) show stable potential response with near Nernstian slope of 50.8, 33.7, 32.35, and 33 mv per decade, range of concentration 10?2–10?7 M β-blockers. Selectivity coefficients data obtained for 11 different organic and inorganic ions are presented. The electrodes have fast response time (30 and 40 s) and were used over wide range of pH 4.5–8.5. Validation of the method according to the quality assurance standers shows suitability of proposed sensors for use in the quality control assessment of these drugs. The results obtained for the determination of β-blockers with the proposed electrodes show average recoveries of 100.78% and a mean standard deviation of ±1.2. The nominal are obtained. Starch carbamate was prepared by reacting maize starch with urea using solid state technique. The different factors affecting this reaction were studied. These factors include urea concentration, type of starch, reaction and duration. The carbamate extent and carbamation reaction efficiency (%) were traced by estimating the nitrogen content of the reaction product. Solubility, viscosity and total ester content of starch carbamate samples were estimated. The carbamate extent increases by increasing urea concentration as well as reaction temperature and duration. Increasing the reaction temperature and duration has the same effect on carbamation reaction efficiency (%), while increasing urea concentration do the reverse. The solubility (%) of starch carbamate samples depends on urea concentration, reaction temperature and duration as well as the type of starch used. The maximum solubility obtained was 63% and 43% for starch carbamate derived from pregelled and native starch, respectively. Tentative mechanism for the reaction between starch and urea has been proposed. 相似文献

The interactions between the Fab and single-chain Fv (scFv) fragments of an
antibody (NC10) and its antigen, influenza virus neuraminidase, were
analysed in the crystal structures of the Fab-neuraminidase and
scFv-neuraminidase complexes. To investigate the contribution to binding
made by cavities, salt links and hydrogen bonds in the antibody- antigen
interface, 14 single amino acid replacements were made at six contact
residues in the scFv fragment by site-directed mutagenesis. The binding
affinity of each mutant scFv antibody for neuraminidase was determined with
a BIAcore optical biosensor. Four of the mutations resulted in large
changes in the free energy of binding to neuraminidase (deltadeltaG > 1
kcal/mol) and together may account for approximately 70% of the free energy
of binding. Hence these data support the theory that a small number of
residues form the 'functional epitope' and are most important for binding
of NC10 to neuraminidase. The salt link between antibody residue (Asp)H56
and (Lys)N432 from neuraminidase was demonstrated to be important for
affinity, since substitution of (Asp)H56 with Asn caused a large reduction
in the free energy of binding (deltadeltaG = +2.8 kcal/mol). Hydrogen bonds
provided by (Tyr)L32 and (Asp)H56 were also important for binding: mutation
of (Tyr)L32 to Phe resulted in a significant reduction in binding affinity
(deltadeltaG = +1.7 kcal/mol). Disruption of hydrophobic interactions (van
der Waals contacts) led to significant reductions in affinity also
((Tyr)H99 to Ala, deltadeltaG = +1.5 kcal/mol; (Leu)L94 to Ala, deltadeltaG
> +3.0 kcal/mol). An attempt to increase binding affinity by filling a
cavity in the interface with a larger antibody side chain was unsuccessful,
as the free energy gained by new antibody-antigen interactions did not
compensate for the removal of cavity-bound water molecules.

BACKGROUND: Growing interest in the replacement of synthetic food antioxidants by natural ones has fostered research on vegetable sources and screening of raw materials to identify new antioxidants. The food‐processing industry generates substantial quantities of phenolic‐rich by‐products that could be valuable natural sources of antioxidants. In this study the antioxidant properties and total phenolic, flavonoid and flavonol contents of three industrial by‐products, sugar beet pulp, sesame cake and potato peel, extracted with various solvents were examined. Since different antioxidant compounds have different mechanisms of action, several methods were used to assess the antioxidant efficacy of extracts. RESULTS: Among the six solvents tested, methanol gave the highest extract yield of potato peel and sugar beet pulp, while diethyl ether gave the highest extract yield of sesame cake. Methanol exhibited the highest extraction ability for phenolic compounds, with total phenolics amounting to 2.91, 1.79 and 0.81 mg gallic acid equivalent g?1 dry weight in potato peel, sugar beet pulp and sesame cake extracts respectively, and also showed the strongest antioxidant capacity in the three assays used. All three methods proved that potato peel extract had the highest antioxidant activity owing to its high content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids. CONCLUSION: On the basis of the results obtained, potato peel, sugar beet pulp and sesame cake extracts could serve as natural antioxidants owing to their significant antioxidant activity. Reaction of C-ethoxycarbonyl-N-arylnitrilimines ( 2a–d ) with α, β-disubstituted acrylonitriles ( 3a–f ) in refluxing benzene affords the corresponding substituted pyrazoles 5a–f and 6a–c respectively in good yield. However, reaction of 2a–e with 3g gives the 2-pyrazoline derivatives 7a–d . The assigned structures for the products 5–7 were confirmed by their spectra (i.r., 1H-n.m.r.) and elemental analyses.
