Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are becoming fundamental components of modern control systems due to their flexibility, ease of deployment and low cost. However, the energy-constrained nature of WSNs poses new issues in control design; in particular the discharge of batteries of sensor nodes, which is mainly due to radio communications, must be taken into account. In this paper we present a novel transmission strategy for communication between controller and sensors which is intended to minimize the data exchange over the wireless channel. Moreover, we propose an energy-aware control technique for constrained linear systems based on explicit model predictive control (MPC), providing closed-loop stability in the presence of disturbances. The presented control schemes are compared to traditional MPC techniques. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed energy-aware approach, which achieves a profitable trade-off between energy savings and closed-loop performance. 相似文献

Hydropower with water accumulation is an interesting option to consider in hybrid systems, because it helps dealing with the intermittence characteristics of renewable energy resources. The software HOMER (version Legacy) is extensively used in research works related to these systems, but it does not include a specific option for modelling hydro with reservoir. This paper describes a method for modelling a hydropower plant with reservoir with HOMER by adapting an existing procedure used for modelling pumped storage. An example with two scenarios in southern Brazil is presented for illustrating and validating the method explained in this paper. The results validate the method by showing a direct correspondence between an equivalent battery and the reservoir. The refill of the reservoir, its power output as a function of the flow rate and installed hydropower capacity are effectively simulated, indicating an adequate representation of a hydropower plant with reservoir is possible with HOMER. 相似文献

ABSTRACT: The effect of two dietary treatments (50 as opposed to 200 mg kg-1 of α-tocopheryl acetate) on rabbit meat, cooked by different procedures (boiling, frying, roasting), was evaluated. Cooking caused an increase of pH, shear force, lightness, hue and chroma, and a decrease of water holding capacity. The change in nutritional value was slight but lipid oxidation was increased and the fat quality worsened. Boiled meat had the lowest nutrient retention and the highest TBARS values. Supplemental vitamin E was effective in reducing oxidative processes and increasing the amount of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids also during cooking. 相似文献

We propose an analytical model of the effects of a nonuniform distribution of trapped charge on the electrical characteristics and on the perspectives of 2-bit operation of discrete-trap memories. To keep the model tractable, we consider an idealized nonuniform distribution, represented by a step function, so that the concentration of trapped charge can assume only two possible values in two different regions. Notwithstanding the simplicity of our assumptions, which limits the range of validity of our model to the subthreshold and weak inversion regions of the I-V characteristics, we can investigate a series of important aspects for 2-bit storage of nonvolatile memories. Our model is then validated through comparison with detailed numerical simulations performed with a commercial technology computer-aided design tool, and with the experimental electrical characteristics of nanocrystal flash memories under different bias conditions. Finally, we provide a method, based on our model, to extract an "effective" distribution of trapped charge, in which all charge is uniformly distributed in a localized region close to the drain. 相似文献

The aim of this work was to analyse some quality parameters of Mytilus galloprovicialis harvested monthly in the period ranging from April 2002 and February 2003 in a longline off-shore mussel farm, located in the Adriatic Sea, near Cattolica (Emilia Romagna Region, Italy). After harvesting, the samples were analysed in order to determine the counts of fecal coliforms (FC) and Escherichia coli, the presence of Salmonella, as prescribed by Italian and European Community regulations, and other pathogens (Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Listeria monocytogenes), as well as the meat yield and its proximate composition, its Fe, Cr, Cd, Zn, Pb and Cu content, the total lipids of the meat and their specific composition. The results obtained evidenced that many of the parameters studied, i.e. the meat proximate composition, the lipid fatty acid composition and the microbiological indices, were subjected to seasonal fluctuations. In particular, the microbiological data showed that 4 mussel samples (June, December, January and February) out of 12 did not match the limit imposed by Italian law and Emilia Romagna protocol concerning the FC and E. coli counts. While L. monocytogenes and Salmonella spp. were never detected in all the samples analysed, three samples (April, January and February) were positive for the presence of V. parahaemolyticus. No seasonal fluctuations were evidenced for Fe, Cr, Cd, Zn, Pb and Cu contents, always under the limits imposed by Italian law. 相似文献

progress regarding the potential benefit of dietary antioxidants in the treatment of chronic diseases with a special focus
on immune system and neurodegenerative disorders will be discussed here. It is well established that reactive oxygen species
(ROS) play an important role in the etiology of numerous diseases, such as atherosclerosis, diabetes and cancer. Among the
physiological defense system of the cell, the relevance of antioxidant molecules, such as glutathione and vitamins is quite
well established. Recently, the interest of researchers has, for example, been conveyed on antioxidant enzyme systems, such
as the heme oxygenase/biliverdin reductase system, which appears modulated by dietary antioxidant molecules, including polyphenols
and beta-carotene. These systems possibly counteract oxidative damage very efficiently and finally modulate the activity of
oxidative phenomena occurring, for instance, during pathophysiological processes. Although evidence shows that antioxidant
treatment results in cytoprotection, the potential clinical benefit deriving from both nutritional and supplemental antioxidants
is still under wide debate. In this line, the inappropriate assumption of some lipophylic vitamins has been associated with

This communication summarizes the use of double-skinned membranes for hydrogen separation in presence of TiO2 based catalyst (PtReCe/TiO2). The use of this type of membrane avoids the direct contact between catalyst particles and surface of the Pd-based hydrogen selective layer due to the presence of a mesoporous YSZ/γ-Al2O3 layer. The PdAg layer is protected by the mesoporous layer from direct contact with catalyst particles, avoiding erosion and possible chemical interactions. In comparison with a conventional PdAg membrane, the hydrogen flux of DS-membrane was observed not to be compromised during test carried out at 400 °C. 相似文献

The use of renewable energy sources for the production of electric power brings huge benefits both in terms of environmental protection as well as savings in non-renewable resources. Photovoltaic stands out from other renewable energy sources for its simplicity and the modularity of its energy conversion system. To date, the most highly developed technology for the construction of solar cells is one based on mono and polycrystalline silicon. An alternative production line is currently under development to produce, thin-film modules. There are currently a variety of processes and materials available to make thin-film cells but their relative costs and performance differ. Uncertainty arising from our relationship with the real world can often lead to imprecise probabilities, whose bounds are captured by Random Set Theory. Reasons leading to this kind of uncertainty in rock engineering are investigated, as well as the limitations of the probabilistic approach. Procedures are given to handle the usual information gained either in the field or from expert's opinions, taking into account not only dissonance, but also non-specificity. Examples of applications are presented with special regard to event tree analysis, rock mass classifications, and reliability-based design of tunnels by means of the empirical recommendations of rock mass classifications. 相似文献
