In this paper we generalize Rudeanu’s results from [13] to Post algebras. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a Post function f such that the set of solutions of equation f(x) = 0 is a given interval. We also prove that every Post transformation is the parametric solution of some consistent Post equation.  相似文献

It is widely recognized that the JPEG2000 facilitates issues in medical imaging: storage, communication, sharing, remote access, interoperability, and presentation scalability. Therefore, JPEG2000 support was added to the DICOM standard Supplement 61. Two approaches to support JPEG2000 medical image are explicitly defined by the DICOM standard: replacing the DICOM image format with corresponding JPEG2000 codestream, or by the Pixel Data Provider service, DICOM supplement 106. The latest one supposes two-step retrieval of medical image: DICOM request and response from a DICOM server, and then JPIP request and response from a JPEG2000 server. We propose a novel strategy for transmission of scalable JPEG2000 images extracted from a single codestream over DICOM network using the DICOM Private Data Element without sacrificing system interoperability. It employs the request redirection paradigm: DICOM request and response from JPEG2000 server through DICOM server. The paper presents programming solution for implementation of request redirection paradigm in a DICOM transparent manner.  相似文献

Evaluation of patient satisfaction has become an important indicator for assessing health care quality. Fresenius Medical Care (FME) as a global provider of dialysis services through its NephroCare network has a strong interest in monitoring patient satisfaction.The aim of the paper is to test and validate a methodology for detecting a residual area of low satisfaction in dialysis patients.The FME Patient Satisfaction Programme questionnaire was distributed to haemodialysis (HD) patients treated in 335 centers of its network. It contained 79 questions covering various satisfaction aspects regarding Dialysis Unit, Dialysis Arrangement, Nurses, Doctors, etc.To analyse the data provided by the questionnaire, the Self-Organising Map (SOM) method was used. SOM is a neural network model for clustering and projecting high-dimensional data into a low-dimensional space, preserving topological relationships of original high-dimensional data spaces.10,632 HD patients completed the questionnaire. Mean age was 63.05 ± 14.93 years with 56.69% males. Response rate was 66%. Overall level of satisfaction was 1.99 (range from ?3 to +3). On average patients were very satisfied with all issues. Nevertheless, a group of patients, around 60 years old, balanced gender ratio, whose level of satisfaction was lower than 1, were highlighted.In the NephroCare clinics patient satisfaction with service is rather high. While traditional analysis usually stops here, the SOM method allows identification of areas of potential improvement for specific patient groups.  相似文献

Stacking faults, which were detected in the Ag-In system, have been examined by transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction. An enhanced concentration of stacking faults in splat cooled specimens as well as the formation of a metastable hexagonal phase in the f c c region of the alloy was observed. As far as we know this is the first case of the terminal solid solubility being reduced by rapid quenching. Terminal solid solubility is reduced because of the high concentration of structural defects introduced by quenching, e.g. dislocations and stacking faults, which serve as the nuclei for the transformation from the f c c to the h c p structure. Our measurements and calculations show that the stacking fault energy minimum is shifted to lower electron concentrations with respect to the stacking fault energy minimum corresponding to the equilibrium phase boundary for the f c c-h c p transformation. The new metastable phase boundary for this transformation was confirmed by X-ray examinations. We explain this earlier h c p phase appearance in rapid quenched specimens as the consequence of enhanced interaction of the Fermi surface and contracted Brillouin zone. The Brillouin zone contraction we attributed to quenched-in vacancies.  相似文献

The anodic oxidation of formic acid was studied on platinum distributed in the form of small particles in a porous substrate modified by metal adatoms deposited at underpotentials. The rate of the reaction was greatly enhanced on the commercial catalyst Powercat 3000 (PC 3000). The hydrogen adsorption and the underpotential deposition of several metals at PC 3000 were shown to be dissimilar to that at smooth polycrystalline Pt. Steady-state and long-term experiments were performed to determine the stability of this electrode.  相似文献

This work considers structural and compression mechanical properties of three Ti3Al-based alloys processed by powder metallurgy. Mechanically alloyed powders were compacted by hot-pressing to non-porous homogenous compacts. Prior to compression tests, all compacts were homogenized by a solution treatment at 1050°C (α + β region) for 1h, followed by water quenching. The compression tests were performed from room temperature to 500°C in vacuum at a strain rate of 2.4 × 10−3 s−1. Detailed microstructural characterization has been evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), followed by electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffraction analysis. Fracture topography was examined by SEM. The Ti3Al-Nb alloy exhibits the highest ductility in the whole temperature range, whereas addition of Mo to Ti3Al-Nb alloy yields the highest ultimate compression strength. A correlation between ductility and the fracture mode exists for all materials.  相似文献

This article describes a second treatment-outcome study of cognitive trauma therapy for battered women with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD; CTT-BW). CTT-BW includes trauma history exploration: PTSD education; stress management; exposure to abuse and abuser reminders; self-monitoring of negative self-talk; cognitive therapy for guilt; and modules on self-advocacy, assertiveness, and how to identify perpetrators. One hundred twenty-five ethnically diverse women were randomly assigned to immediate or delayed CTT-BW. PTSD remitted in 87% of women who completed CTT-BW, with large reductions in depression and guilt and substantial increases in self-esteem. White and ethnic minority women benefited equally from CTT-BW. Similar treatment outcomes were obtained by male and female therapists and by therapists with different levels of education and training. Gains were maintained at 3- and 6-month follow-ups. Stress stability testing represents an important part of the drug development process. It is used as an important tool for the identification of degradation products and degradation pathways, as well as for the assessment of changes in physical form of drug molecules. The impact of excipients on the stability of olanzapine confirms that levels of impurities and degradants are limiting parameters and are therefore used for stability evaluation. The major degradation product of olanzapine was identified as 2-methyl-5,10-dihydro-4H-thieno[2,3-b][1,5]benzodiazepine-4-one (III). The structure of III was determined by using LC-MS, IR and NMR. Compatibility and stress stability results demonstrated that tablet formulations of olanzapine are sensitive to temperature and moisture. In samples protected from moisture, the increase in concentration of III was shown to be highly temperature dependent and the degradation followed zero-order kinetics. In addition, studies of olanzapine with excipients and in formulated tablets revealed polymorphic phase changes in some samples, influenced by a combination of stress temperature and humidity conditions. Polymorphic transitions were monitored using x-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) analysis and exhibited no correlation between the phase change (appearance of a new polymorph) and the degradation process.  相似文献

In this paper, a new Doppler technique based on pulse subtraction imaging (PSD) is described and compared with pulse inversion Doppler (PID). Combining a nonlinear contrast agent imaging technique with a Doppler process provides a tool for detecting motion of both contrast agents and tissues. This has potential in targeted imaging in which attached microbubbles need to be separated from moving ones and surrounding tissues. The results from both simulation and experiment show that PSD is able to differentiate bubble motion from tissue motion. For Doppler processing conducted at the fundamental frequency, the contrast-to-tissue ratio (CTR) in PSD was 3.3 (±0.4) times higher on average than PID at a mechanical index (MI) of 0.1. At the harmonic frequency, PID was shown to have a 3.1 (±0.4) times higher CTR than PSD. Overall, taken in their optimum processing conditions, PID has a CTR up to 1.9 (±0.4) times higher than PSD. The CTRs for both techniques have also been shown to increase with increasing MI. However, for the same axial Doppler resolution. PSD also allows less energy to be transmitted into the medium, which makes it less disruptive. The relative performances of PSD and PID in terms of the bandwidth of the imaging system are also discussed.  相似文献
