Developing switching barriers to retain customers has become a critical marketing strategy for online retailers. However, research on the role of switching barriers in e-retailing is still limited. Recent trends show that when competitors are just one click away, it is questionable if customer loyalty can be achieved at all in online environments. This leads to the research question on whether switching barriers have any impact on e-loyalty in pure-play retailers. The paper examines the influence of switching barriers on customer retention (i.e., e-store loyalty) and further investigates the moderating effects of switching costs and alternative attractiveness. Data were gathered via a survey of 590 shoppers of online pure-play retailers in the UK. Findings show that customer satisfaction and the two dimensions of switching barriers (perceived switching costs and perceived attractiveness of alternatives) significantly influence customer loyalty. Contrary to findings in earlier studies, it was found that switching costs did not moderate the relationships between satisfaction and loyalty nor between perceived attractiveness of alternatives and loyalty. The paper makes imperative recommendations to develop switching barriers and to foster loyalty along with suggestions for future research. 相似文献

In recent years, the application of metaheuristic techniques to solve multi‐objective optimization problems has become an active research area. Solving this kind of problems involves obtaining a set of Pareto‐optimal solutions in such a way that the corresponding Pareto front fulfils the requirements of convergence to the true Pareto front and uniform diversity. Most of the studies on metaheuristics for multi‐objective optimization are focused on Evolutionary Algorithms, and some of the state‐of‐the‐art techniques belong this class of algorithms. Our goal in this paper is to study open research lines related to metaheuristics but focusing on less explored areas to provide new perspectives to those researchers interested in multi‐objective optimization. In particular, we focus on non‐evolutionary metaheuristics, hybrid multi‐objective metaheuristics, parallel multi‐objective optimization and multi‐objective optimization under uncertainty. Pullulanase (EC.3.2.1.41) was used to generate more linear-chain dextrin from sago starch (24.9% amylose) such that the resulting product could act as a high amylose starch. A starch suspension of 5.0% (w/v) sago starch was heated at 100 °C for 45 min and, after cooling, the gelatinized sago starch was hydrolyzed with 2.0% (v/dry weight starch) pullulanase (Promozyme 400L, Novozymes A/S, Denmark) for 24 h. The linear long-chain dextrin (LLD) content of the hydrolysate after drying, was then compared with the initial LLD content. The surface morphology of the starch granules was observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The effects of gelatinization, time of reaction, pretreatment with different strengths of hydrochloric acid prior to enzyme hydrolysis, and starch and enzyme concentrations were studied. Raw sago starch was resistant to the action of pullulanase, but caused an increase in the LLD of that sago starch from an initial concentration of 24.9–33.2% following gelatinization. The best conditions to maximize the amount of LLD were 5.0% (w/v) sago starch, 2.0% (v/w) enzyme and 12 h reaction time. Acid pretreatment of the sago starch did not cause greater improvement in the accessibility and susceptibility of pullulanase as the LLD content, following pullulanase action did not change significantly. SnS thin films were prepared by cathodic electrodeposition on ITO/glass and Ti substrates from a solution containing SnCl2 and thiosulphate ions. Cyclic voltammetry experiments were performed to elucidate the electrodic processes occurred when potentials were applied and to determine the optimum potential for electrodeposition. The photoactivity of the deposited films and their conduction types were evaluated using the photoelectrochemical technique. The bandgap energy and type of optical transitions were determined from optical absorbance data. Structural and compositional analysis were accomplished using X-ray diffractometry, electron dispersive analysis of X-ray, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. A fibrous silica zeolite Y (HY@KCC‐1) catalyst with a high surface area of 568 m2/g and unique core‐shell morphology was successfully synthesized via a modified KCC‐1 synthesis method. Characterization of the catalysts was achieved with X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning microscope (FESEM), N2 adsorption/desorption, and 2,6‐dimethylpyridine adsorbed Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The Pt/HY@KCC‐1 has displayed complete n‐dodecane conversion coupled with an incredibly enhanced isomer yield of 72% at 350°C, nearly two‐fold higher than that of unmodified Pt/HY catalyst. Remarkably, Pt/HY@KCC‐1 had an internal effectiveness factor (η) of unity and negligible internal diffusion limitation, thus suggesting its potential application in hydroisomerization of higher hydrocarbons for enhancing fuel properties. 相似文献

With the reduction of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) operating temperature to the range of 600 °C–800 °C, metallic alloy with high oxidation resistance are used to replace traditional ceramic interconnects. Metallic interconnects is advantageous over ceramic interconnects; in terms of manufacturability, cost, mechanical strength, and electrical conductivity. To date, promising candidates for metallic interconnects are all Cr-containing alloys, which are susceptible to volatile Cr migration that causes cell degradation. As such, protective coatings have been developed to effectively inhibit Cr migration; as well as maintain excellent electrical conductivity and good oxidation resistance. This article reviews the progress and technical challenges in developing metallic interconnects; different types of protective coatings and deposition techniques for metallic interconnects for intermediate-temperature SOFC applications. 相似文献
