The main aim of this research was to compare the effects of hydrothermal treatment on rice flour and its related rice starch. The treatment was performed at 120°C for 3 and 5 h. Scanning electron microscopy results showed that the proteins of hydrothermaled rice flour were denatured and formed clusters and the granules of hydrothermaled rice starch became aggregated and had an irregular surface. The treatment reduced water solubility and water absorption and decreased peak viscosity while increased pasting temperature. It increased the final visosity of modified rice flour while reduced the final viscosity of modified rice starch. Following hydrothermal treatment, the hardness and elasticity of the gels increased. The cohesiveness of rice flour gels decreased while that of the rice starch gels remained unchanged. This study showed how the hydrothermal treatment can have different effects on rice flour and its related rice starch. The effects of hydrothermal treatment on rice flour were stronger than rice starch. Increasing the treatment time from 3 to 5 h was more effective on rice starch. 相似文献

Nowadays, environmental hazards caused by plastic wastes are a major concern in academia and industry. Utilization of biodegradable polymers derived from renewable sources for replacing common petroleum‐based plastics is a potential solution for reducing the problem. In this regard, starch has become one of the most promising alternatives to non‐biodegradable polymers for depleting plastic waste thanks to its low expense, abundance, renewability and biodegradability. However, the main drawbacks of starch are its poor processability, weak mechanical properties and severe hydrophilicity. In this work, thermoplastic starch (TPS) samples have been prepared using glycerol and sorbitol as co‐plasticizers in a laboratory co‐rotating twin screw extruder. Based on the mechanical test results, glycerol caused higher elongation to break but had lower tensile strength and elastic modulus compared to sorbitol plasticized starch. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and DSC results indicated that the hydrogen bond interaction between starch chains and plasticizers could be improved by replacing glycerol by sorbitol, which resulted in higher resistance against retrogradation proved by XRD results. TGA illustrated that the higher the sorbitol to glycerol ratio was, the more stable was the TPS. Using a proper amount of plasticizers (42 wt% total plasticizer, sorbitol to glycerol ratio 2:1) led to the preparation of a TPS sample with optimized properties including enhanced mechanical properties, high thermal stability, strong hydrogen bond formation and high resistance against retrogradation. © 2017 Society of Chemical Industry 相似文献

Recently, by defining suitable fuzzy temporal logics, temporal properties of dynamic systems are specified during model checking process, yet a few numbers of fuzzy temporal logics along with capable corresponding models are developed and used in system design phase, moreover in case of having a suitable model, it suffers from the lack of a capable model checking approach. Having to deal with uncertainty in model checking paradigm, this paper introduces a fuzzy Kripke model (FzKripke) and then provides a verification approach using a novel logic called Fuzzy Computation Tree Logic* (FzCTL*). Not only state space explosion is handled using well-known concepts like abstraction and bisimulation, but an approximation method is also devised as a novel technique to deal with this problem. Fuzzy program graph, a generalization of program graph and FzKripke, is also introduced in this paper in consideration of higher level abstraction in model construction. The objective of this work is to implement a
pseudo-forward equation which is called PFE to transform
data (similarity attribute) to model parameters (porosity) in
a gas reservoir in the F3 block of North Sea. This equation
which is an experimental model has unknown constants in
its structure; hence, a least square solution is applied to find
the best constants. The results derived from solved equations
show that the errors on measured data are mapped
into the errors of estimated constants; hence, Tikhonov
regularization is used to improve the estimated parameters.
The results are compared with a conventional method such
as cross plotting between acoustic impedance and porosity
values to validate the PFE model. When the testing dataset
in sand units was used, the correlation coefficient between
two variables (actual and predicted values) was obtained as
0.720 and 0.476 for PFE model and cross-plotting analysis,
respectively. Therefore, the testing dataset validates relatively
well the PFE optimized by Tikhonov regularization
in sand units of a gas reservoir. The obtained results indicate
that PFE could provide initial information about
sandstone reservoirs. It could estimate reservoir porosity
distribution approximately and it highlights bright spots
and fault structures such as gas chimneys and salt edges. 相似文献

The kinetic behavior of a commercial γ-Al2O3 catalyst for the methanol to dimethyl ether (DME) dehydration reaction has been investigated using a differential fixed bed
reactor at the pressure range 1–16 barg within a temperature range of 260–380 °C. The experimental runs were performed in
a wide range of feed to water ratios. The experiments were designed by general full factorial design (GEFD) and a novel rate
equation has been developed which exhibited the best fitting with our experimental data. Based on the analysis of variance
(ANOVA), the following order of importance for operating conditions was obtained when the objective function is the yield
of DME: Temperature >Water % in feed >Pressure. In addition, the optimum operating conditions for the maximum yield of DME,
were found at T= 380°C, P=16 barg and zero wt% of water in the feed. 相似文献

This work investigated the production and the properties of meat protein concentrates from beef lungs (BLPC) at pilot scale. Protein recovery and functional properties were compared to those of BLPC obtained using membrane technology in a previous work (Selmane, D., Vial, C., & Djelveh, G. (2008). Extraction of proteins from slaughterhouse by-products: Influence of operating conditions on functional properties. Meat Science, 79, 640–647). An alkaline solubilisation method was applied for protein extraction, followed by pI precipitation for concentration. The physicochemical properties of BLPC such as molecular mass, solubility, surface hydrophobicity, surface tension and interfacial tension, as well as technofunctional emulsifying and foaming properties were determined. These were compared to those of commercial protein ingredients, such as sodium caseinates, whey protein isolates, egg white proteins and soy protein isolates. Results showed that proteins from BLPC included a low-molecular-weight fraction and exhibited good solubility and high hydrophobicity with small surface and interfacial tensions. This explained their excellent emulsifying activity, better than sodium caseinates, and their good foaming properties. 相似文献

The effects of i-butane addition to methanol in MTP reaction were investigated over an in-house prepared HZSM-5 catalyst. It was observed that, propylene yield would be enhanced when i-butane fed to the reactor along with methanol. The rising growth of the propylene yield continued to peak on till the balance in thermal condition established. Similar trends have been observed when water was added to the mixture. The effect of WHSV with fixed water composition on product distribution was also studied. The optimum point where the highest amount of propylene yielded was shown to be high depended upon the temperature and residence time. 相似文献

A new and very promising application of auto‐thermal reactors is the coupling of endothermic and exothermic reactions where the product of the endothermic reaction is the desired one. Therefore, in this work, a reactor in which oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) and steam re‐forming of methane (SRM) reactions take place simultaneously was modeled. The results were obtained in a wide range of different conditions such as inlet feed, inlet temperature, portions of OCM and SRM catalysts, and inlet velocity. In selection of the catalysts, more attention was drawn to prevent re‐forming of OCM products. The main parameters of each reaction under different conditions such as conversion of the feed components, products selectivity and yield, temperature in the length of reactor, and component's concentration in the reactor were considered in course of this study. The results revealed that simultaneous OCM and SRM reactions in one reactor will tend to be auto‐thermal, and the waste of energy will be reduced. The results also show that complete conversion of water and majority of methane and oxygen will decrease the amount of unwanted products at the reactor's discharge–a constraint that exists in single reactors of each reaction specially OCM.
