FePt nanorods and nanowires have been synthesized by the reduction of Pt(acac)(2) and the thermal decomposition of Fe(CO)(5) in the presence of solvents/surfactants by simply controlling the sequence of addition of surfactants. The as-synthesized FePt nanorods and nanowires have a face centered cubic structure with average diameter of 3?nm. Length of nanorods and nanowires can be adjusted in the range of 15-150?nm by varying reaction parameters. Nanocrystalline L1(0) FePt phase with coercivity up to 24?kOe was obtained after heat treatments.  相似文献

Conventional and solution precursor plasma spraying (SPPS) techniques were employed for developing gadolinium oxide doped lanthanum cerate ((La0.9Gd0.1)2Ce2O7, Gd-LC) based double-layered thermal barrier coatings (TBCs). Hot corrosion studies of the above coatings were carried out in molten Na2SO4 + V2O5 (1:1) environment at 900 °C. The state-of-the-art yttria-stabilized-zirconia (YSZ) coating was found to be completely delaminated after 120 h by forming yttrium vanadate (YVO4) and m-ZrO2. The accelerated delamination of YSZ can be attributed to the undesired phase transformation during exposure to corrosive species. Double-layered APS coatings were found to last for more than 300 h without densification of underlying YSZ layer and also, show better adherence with bond coat. SPPS Gd-LC coatings were found to be completely delaminated on densifying the underlying YSZ within 300 h. Lanthanum vanadate (LaVO4) was found to be the main corrosive product along with minor amounts of gadolinium vanadate (GdVO4) in Gd-LC double-layer coatings.  相似文献

Under a multi-centre study conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research, 1,511 samples of parboiled rice were collected from rural and urban areas of 11 states representing different geographical regions of India. These samples were analysed for contamination with aflatoxin B(1.) The presence of aflatoxin B(1) at levels=5 microg g(-1) was found in 38.5% of the total number of samples of the parboiled rice. About 17% of the total samples showed the presence of aflatoxin B(1) above the Indian regulatory limit of 30 microg kg(-1). No statistically significant difference in percentage of samples contaminated with >30 microg kg(-1) was observed between pooled rural (19.4%) and urban (14.5%) data. A median value of 15 microg kg(-1) of aflatoxin B(1) was observed in samples from Assam, Bihar and Tripura. In all other states surveyed the median value was <5 microg?kg(-1).  相似文献

Mesoporous nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (nHAp) rods of size 40-75 nm long and 25 nm wide (resembling bone mineral) were synthesized under microwave irradiation without using any surfactants or modifiers. The surface area and average pore size of the nHAp were found to be 32 m(2) g(-1) and 4 nm, respectively. Rifampicin (RIF) and ciprofloxacin (CPF) loaded nHAp displayed an initial burst followed by controlled release (zero order kinetics). Combination of CPF and RIF loaded nHAp showed enhanced bacterial growth inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Staphylococcus epidermidis (S. epidermidis) and Escherichia coli (E. coli) compared to individual agent loaded nHAp and pure nHAp. In addition, decreased bacterial adhesion (90%) was observed on the surface of CPF plus RIF loaded nHAp. The biocompatibility test toward MG63 cells infected with micro-organisms showed better cell viability and alkaline phosphatase activity (ALP) for the combination of CPF and RIF loaded nHAp. The influence on cell viability of infected MG63 cells was attributed to the simultaneous and controlled release of CPF and RIF from nHAp, which prevented the emergence of subpopulations that were resistant to each other. Hence, apart from the issue of the rapid synthesis of nHAp without surfactants or modifiers, the simultaneous and controlled release of dual drugs from nHAp would be a simple, non-toxic and cost-effective method to treat bone infections.  相似文献
