The majority of motor specifications utilize L10 life as the sole selection criterion for anti-friction bearings. At times, L 10 lives in excess of 100,000 hours are specified in an attempt to prevent recurring field problems when the failures are originating from nonL10 mechanisms. In some cases, these failures occur indirectly from overspecifying L10 life. Some general examples of this occurence are described. Two Canadian rapeseed oils, “Westar” and “low-linolenic”, supplied by the Canola Council were studied and compared with a
French rapeseed. The linolenic acid content of the low-linolenic variety is about 3%. This drop in the C18∶3 is completely
compensated for by an increase in the C18∶2. Seventy-two percent of the triglycerides with at least one linolenic chain disappeared.
A strong increase in the OOL and OLL was observed. The room-odor tests showed that the “low-linolenic” had a significantly
higher odor score than the French rapeseed and the “Westar”, both of these being very similar. A fruity odor dominated in

A series of NbO
x
/ZrO2 catalysts containing up to 2.67wt Nb (ca. 80 nominal surface coverage) was prepared by incipient wetness impregnation from niobium oxalate and oxalic acid solution. The structure of the catalysts was monitored by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. The results indicated the presence of a surface Nb phase. No evidence for the formation of crystalline Nb2O5 species was found. The development of the acidity as a function of Nb loading was monitored by adsorption of a basic probe molecule followed by infrared spectroscopy. The results indicated the appearance of Brnsted acid sites for a threshold of Nb loading. The abundance of Brnsted acid sites correlated well with the isopropanol dehydration activity. The overall behavior was very similar to that reported earlier for the WO
x

Simulation techniques have been employed to investigate the differences in the low energy adsorption configurations of ethene and ethane on the TiO2 supported and unsupported V2O5(001) surface. We find that the ethene molecule approaches much closer to thesupported V2O5(001) surface which is reflected in the 40 kj mol–1 higher adsorption energy. The low energy adsorption configuration located for ethane on the supported V2O5 shows that the molecule does not approach as close to the supported V2O5 surface as does ethene, resulting in the adsorption energy of ethane being 52 kJ mol–1 lower than that of ethene on the supported V2O5 surface. 相似文献

Measures of interestingness play a crucial role in association rule mining. An important methodological problem, on which several papers appeared in the literature, is to provide a reasonable classification of the measures. In this paper, we explore Boolean factor analysis, which uses formal concepts corresponding to classes of measures as factors, for the purpose of clustering of the measures. Unlike the existing studies, our method reveals overlapping clusters of interestingness measures. We argue that the overlap between clusters is a desired feature of natural groupings of measures and that because formal concepts are used as factors in Boolean factor analysis, the resulting clusters have a clear meaning and are easy to interpret. We conduct three case studies on clustering of measures, provide interpretations of the resulting clusters and compare the results to those of the previous approaches reported in the literature. 相似文献

Tracking of poorly defined, rotating and/or distorted objects in a video sequence poses significant problems especially in medical diagnostics including ultrasound (sonographic) video used for examination and diagnosis of internal movement of tissue or muscle and nerve action. Cross-correlation techniques have been successful in retrieving dynamic information directly from ultrasound video data. We outline a fast implementation of tracking based on normalized cross-correlation using an adaptive template and present results from our application, developed in MATLAB?, which successfully tracks arbitrarily selected objects in deformed or severely compromised images. Common ultrasound image evaluation is qualitative but there is need to retrieve quantitative dynamic information such as the trajectory or velocity of selected areas. Our approach uses normalized two-dimensional cross-correlation to find the position of an initially selected template enclosing the feature of interest and map its trajectory frame-by-frame to produce displacement and velocity plots. We illustrate operation of the application using routine ultrasound data and demonstrate its performance using test video of objects rotating full circle and rolling down a ramp. We analyse errors associated with sampling to compare performance of our implementation with a more rigorous but tedious and computationally expensive correlation of a resampled, rotated, and shifted template. 相似文献

Muscimol injection in the caudal part of the fastigial nucleus (cFN) leads, in the head-unrestrained cat, to a characteristic dysmetria of saccadic gaze shifts toward visual targets. The goal of the current study was to test whether this pharmacological cFN inactivation impaired the ability to compensate for unexpected perturbations in gaze position during the latency period of the saccadic response. Such perturbations consisted of moving gaze away from the target by a transient electrical microstimulation in the deep layers of the superior colliculus simultaneously with extinction of the visual target. After injection of muscimol in the cFN, targets located in the contralesional hemifield elicited gaze shifts that fell short of the target in both "perturbed" and "unperturbed" trials. The amplitude of the compensatory contraversive gaze shifts in perturbed trials coincided with the predicted amplitude of unperturbed responses starting from the same position. Targets located in the opposite hemifield elicited hypermetric gaze shifts in both trial types, and the error of compensatory responses was not statistically different from that of unperturbed gaze shifts. These results indicate that inactivation of the cFN does not interfere with the ability of the head-unrestrained cat to compensate for ipsiversive or contraversive perturbations in gaze position. Thus the gaze-related feedback signals that are used to compute a reference signal of desired gaze displacement are not impaired by cFN inactivation. 相似文献
