The aim of this study was to develop technology to produce a mashed pumpkin yoghurt rich in β‐carotene and to check its physicochemical properties and nutritional values. The structural and mechanical properties of the yoghurt product, as well its basic nutrient content and antioxidant activity, were studied. Yoghurt fortified with pumpkin puree has the potential to normalise the commensal intestinal microbiota and has potential as a dietary health supplement. The experimental yoghurt samples that were produced had physicochemical properties comparable to commercially produced yoghurt: the pumpkin‐supplemented samples contained 4.5% fibre, 8.5 mg/100 g vitamin C and 8.9 mg/100 g β‐carotene.  相似文献

A micromechanics solution of an internal instability problem for a fiber series in an infinite isotropic elastic matrix subjected to compression is presented. The theoretical solution permits application of transversely isotropic compressible material models to the reinforcement. Possible instability modes are discussed. The stochastic dynamics of the Josephson junction is studied when external noise is nonwhite and high-pass filtered (“green” noise). In this case the diffusion coefficient of the Fokker-Planck equation is zero. Therefore the phase locking between the wave functions of the Cooper pairs is described and interpreted by the Krylov-Bogoljubov averaging method. The maximum (“critical”) Josephson current is redefined. Nonlinear diffusion and the lifetime of the phase locking of wave functions are considered. Background illumination, zero-point fluctuations and filtered white noise are used as examples of green noise. It is shown that the effect of green noise on the superconducting state of the junction is much less destructive than that of white one.  相似文献

We study the tradeoffs between many-core machines like Intelpsilas Larrabee and many-thread machines like Nvidia and AMD GPGPUs. We define a unified model describing a superposition of the two architectures, and use it to identify operation zones for which each machine is more suitable. Moreover, we identify an intermediate zone in which both machines deliver inferior performance. We study the shape of this ldquoperformance valleyrdquo and provide insights on how it can be avoided.  相似文献

We describe a method to assess the effects of PCO2, around and below eucapnia, on the neuromuscular ventilatory response to a standard peripheral chemoreceptor stimulus. Subjects were "passively" hyperventilated (without respiratory muscle activity), at a constant level of ventilation. Stimuli (3-7 breaths N2) were delivered over a range of steady-state PETCO2 (25-43 mmHg). Stimuli during hypocapnia were coupled with a transient increase in FICO2 so that the stimulus to the peripheral chemoreceptors was always "hypoxia at eucapnia". Responses to the stimuli (quantified from the reduction in peak inflation pressure and the magnitude of the evoked diaphragm electromyographic activity) decreased in a graded manner as steady-state PETCO2 fell, disappearing at 7.5 mmHg below eucapnia. Carotid body chemoreceptor recordings from two anaesthetised cats, indicated that the peak firing rate during such stimuli was independent of steady-state PETCO2. The results suggest that the central sensitivity to a peripheral chemoreceptor input may be modulated by changes in steady-state PCO2 around eucapnia and during mild hypocapnia.  相似文献
