Studies on optical and electrical conductivity in nitrogen (N)-doped ZnO shells are explored. On incorporating low levels of nitrogen, the (0 0 2) X-ray diffraction (XRD) peak was found to be intensified significantly. Closely packed spherical crystallites of ZnO were transformed into flat-flakes during 0.1–0.3 M nitrogen doping and finally to shells, flattered at the center and tapered at ends, at 0.4 M. Both pristine and N-doped ZnO films show hydrophilic character. It was also found that the degree of transparency and the nature of conductivity as estimated by optical absorbance and Hall measurement, respectively, were strongly influenced by the levels of N-doping. Higher nitrogen doping led to decline in electrical resistivity and mobility due to an enhancement of free charge carriers. Presence of both (N2)O donor and (N)O acceptor peaks in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy could be responsible for the formation of higher carrier concentration in ZnO films. 相似文献

The paper presents synthesis of Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3 (BST), BaZr0.3Ti0.7O3 (BZT) and SrTiO3 (ST) thin films and their heterostructures using modified Pechini method. The La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 has been used as a conducting bottom layer to form metal ferroelectric metal capacitor. The thin films are spin coated on SiO2/n-Si(100) substrates. The thin films thus deposited are characterized for crystal structure, morphology, dielectric, complex impedance and admittance properties. Deposition of surface layer ST is observed to reduce loss tangent tan δ of BST and BZT thin films, still maintaining equivalent magnitude of figure of merit γ. Outsourcing research has recognised that selecting the right offshore supplier (outsourcee) in low-cost distant developing countries is complex, but central to outsourcing success. More specifically, the combination of outsourcee contextual internal factors (e.g. capabilities) with outsourced-to country contextual external factors (e.g. political, legal, economic, socio-cultural) as two fundamental and interconnected decisions firms make when outsourcing remains an underexplored research gap. Therefore, through a rigorous three-tier qualitative approach we, firstly, develop a contextual Environmental Separation Index (ESI) decision tool to help outsourcing firms in making more informed decisions when selecting outsourcees and outsourcing locations. Secondly, we operationalise the ESI as intuitive and easy to use decision tool, yet with a provision to deliver a truly context proof outsourcee selection decision. Thirdly, we adopt a complexity theory lens to explain that narrowing the contextual outsourcer–outsourcee gap facilitates a mind-set shift in outsourcing relationships from hierarchies to networks and from controlling to empowering developing country outsourcees. We show from a complexity theory perspective how contextual separation gaps between developed country outsourcers and developing country outsourcees can be an effective way to grasp the evolutionary path of outsourcing relationships. 相似文献

Polyaniline–CdS nanocomposites have been synthesized by spin coating technique. The nanocrystalline CdS powder of particle size 40–50 nm was synthesized by sol–gel technique and the polyaniline was synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline. The composite films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field effect scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV–Vis spectroscopy and Four probe method. The results were compared with corresponding data on pure polyaniline films. The intensity of diffraction peaks for PANi–CdS composites is lower than that for CdS. The conductivity measurement shows that molecular chain constitution of polyaniline is the most important carrier in polyaniline–CdS nano composite. The optical studies showed that variation in band gap of polyaniline (3.40 eV) to 2.54 eV CdS which is attributed to the interaction of CdS nanoparticles with PANi molecular chains. 相似文献

The performance at room temperature of nanostructured polyaniline (PANi)–titanium dioxide (TiO2) ammonia gas sensors was investigated. The PANi–TiO2 thin-film sensors were fabricated with a spin-coating method on glass substrates. PANi–TiO2 (0–50%) sensor films were characterized for their structural, morphological, optical, and various gas-sensing properties. The structural analysis showed the formation of nanocrystalline TiO2, whereas PANi exhibited an amorphous nature. Morphological analysis of the PANi–TiO2 nanocomposites film revealed a uniform distribution of TiO2 nanoparticles in the PANi matrix. The absorption peaks in the Fourier transform infrared spectra and ultraviolet–visible spectra of the PANi–TiO2 composite film were found to shift to higher wave numbers compared to those observed in pure PANi. The observed shifts were attributed to the interaction between the TiO2 particles and the PANi molecular chains. The flow between two concentric cylinders which is termed as Taylor–Couette flow has been studied in scraped surface heat exchanger with and without blades. Shear rate in annular flow with and without blades was measured by Dumont et al. (2000a) using electrochemical method and determined the onset of Taylor vortices at specific Taylor number in both cases for Newtonian flow. CFD simulations have been carried out to determine the transition zone from laminar Couette flow to Taylor vortex flow using the same geometry for which Dumont et al. (2000a) had carried out the experiments. The Reynolds stress model (RSM) and k–? model are used for Taylor vortex flow (Ta > 300) to characterize the flow pattern in annular flow and SSHE respectively.
