Photoinduced phase transitions are of special interest in condensed matter physics because they can be used to change complex macroscopic material properties on the ultrafast timescale. Cooperative interactions between microscopic degrees of freedom greatly enhance the number and nature of accessible states, making it possible to switch electronic, magnetic or structural properties in new ways. Photons with high energies, of the order of electron volts, in particular are able to access electronic states that may differ greatly from states produced with stimuli close to equilibrium. In this study we report the photoinduced change in the lattice structure of a charge and orbitally ordered Nd(0.5)Sr(0.5)MnO(3) thin film using picosecond time-resolved X-ray diffraction. The photoinduced state is structurally ordered, homogeneous, metastable and has crystallographic parameters different from any thermodynamically accessible state. A femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopic study shows the formation of an electronic gap in this state. In addition, the threshold-like behaviour and high efficiency in photo-generation yield of this gapped state highlight the important role of cooperative interactions in the formation process. These combined observations point towards a 'hidden insulating phase' distinct from that found in the hitherto known phase diagram.  相似文献

Ternary zincblende-derived I–III–VI2 chalcogenide and II–IV–V2 pnictide semiconductors have been widely studied and some have been put to practical use. In contrast to the extensive research on these semiconductors, previous studies into ternary I–III–O2 oxide semiconductors with a wurtzite-derived β-NaFeO2 structure are limited. Wurtzite-derived β-LiGaO2 and β-AgGaO2 form alloys with ZnO and the band gap of ZnO can be controlled to include the visible and ultraviolet regions. β-CuGaO2, which has a direct band gap of 1.47 eV, has been proposed for use as a light absorber in thin film solar cells. These ternary oxides may thus allow new applications for oxide semiconductors. However, information about wurtzite-derived ternary I–III–O2 semiconductors is still limited. In this paper we review previous studies on β-LiGaO2, β-AgGaO2 and β-CuGaO2 to determine guiding principles for the development of wurtzite-derived I–III–O2 semiconductors.  相似文献

The current treatments for chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 infection are combinations of direct-acting antivirals, and faldaprevir is one of the new generation of HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitors. At the end of 2013, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitor simeprevir and the HCV NS5B polymerase inhibitor sofosbuvir. Simeprevir or sofosbuvir in combination with pegylated interferon and ribavirin are available for clinical use. Faldaprevir, another HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitor that also has fewer adverse events than telaprevir or boceprevir, is under development. Of interest, faldaprevir in combination with pegylated interferon and ribavirin, and interferon-free treatment with faldaprevir in combination with deleobuvir plus ribavirin provides high sustained virological response rates for HCV genotype 1 infection. The aim of this article is to review these data concerning faldaprevir. Faldaprevir in combination with pegylated interferon and ribavirin treatment appears to be associated with fewer adverse events than telaprevir or boceprevir in combination with pegylated interferon and ribavirin, and may be one of the therapeutic options for treatment-naive patients with HCV genotype 1. The interferon-free combination of faldaprevir and deleobuvir with ribavirin was effective for HCV genotype 1 infection and may hold promise for interferon-ineligible and interferon-intolerant patients.  相似文献

Mixtures of C2H4---O2---CF3Cl and CH4---O2---CF3Cl, highly diluted with argon, were heated to the temperature range 1350–2200K behind reflected shock waves, and the additive effects of CF3Cl on OH*, CH*, and C2* emissions in the ethylene and methane combustion processes were examined by observing the delay time, and the intensities of OH*, CH*, and C2* emissions. It was found that, in ethylene combustion, the addition of CF3Cl prolonged the delay times to the maximum intensities, decreased the intensities of OH* and CH* emissions, and had little influence on that of C2* emission. However, in methane combustion, it was found that the addition of CF3Cl shortened the delay times to the maximum intensities and to the onset of ignition, increased the intensities of CH* and C2* emissions, and had little influence on that of OH* emission.  相似文献

In the epitaxial (Pb1?x , La x )(Zr1?y , Ti y )1?x/4O3 [PLZT] films, the composition dependence of the refractive index and electric-optic (EO) coefficient near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) composition was investigated. A (100/001)-oriented PLZT 10/65/35 epitaxial film is found to have isotropic optical properties. Highly (100/001)-oriented epitaxial PLZT films with compositions near the MPB on Nb–SrTiO3 substrates were fabricated using a sol–gel process. The value of birefringence from 4?×?10?3 to 5?×?10?4 in PLZT epitaxial film was smaller than that of lithium niobate single crystal. The refractive index decreases with increasing lanthanum content. The difference in the refractive index obtained depended upon the lanthanum content up to 2%. This value is adequate for fabrication of waveguide structures. The EO coefficient of PLZT 9/65/35 thin films was 45 pm/V, which is larger than that of lithium niobate single crystal. A very small polarization dependence of the EO coefficient was also observed.  相似文献

For the autonomous guided vehicle (AGV) used mainly in unfixed work fields, a machine vision method was proposed for the navigation system, in which a series of navigation-signs are placed along the travel route. The navigation system detects and recognizes these signs, and accordingly informs the travel control system. In order for the navigation to have balanced ability of 1) covering a large area and 2) recognizing details of the sign, the proposed vision method was designed to be a hybrid one, using both the stereo vision and the traditional 2D template matching. The former implemented a coarse recognition function for above 1), and the later implemented a fine recognition function for above 2). The results from the coarse recognition were used in the fine recognition for the gaze control to input suitable 2D image of the signs. Experiments on a prototype system show the feasibility of the proposed hybrid method in achieving the objective specifications for a typicalb AGV.  相似文献

文本的特征提取是文本分类过程中的一个重要环节,它的好坏将直接影响文本分类的准确率。该文介绍了词条的χ2统计方法(CHI)、词条与类别的互信息(MI)、信息增益(IG)、词条的期望交叉熵(CE)等文本特征提取方法,并对其取词策略进行了改进。为了对这些特征提取方法进行系统地比较,选择了三种代表性的分类器对《读卖新闻》文本数据库进行了分类实验。实验结果表明χ2统计方法具有最好的准确率,各种改进的特征提取方法都能提高文本分类的准确率。  相似文献
