In this work, the authors report a facile low‐temperature wet‐chemical route to prepare morphology‐tailored hierarchical structures (HS) of copper oxide. The preparation of copper oxide collides was carried out using varying concentrations of copper acetate and a reducing agent at a constant temperature of 50°C. The prepared HS of CuO were characterised by powdered X‐rays diffraction that indicates phase pure having monoclinic structures. The morphology was further confirmed by field‐emission scanning electron microscope. It reveals a difference in shape and size of copper oxide HS by changing the concentration of reactants. In order to evaluate the effect of H2 O2 on CuO NPs, the prepared CuO are modified by treatment with H2 O2. In general trend, CuOH2 O2 collide showed enhanced protein kinase inhibition, antibacterial (maximum zone 16.34 mm against Staphylococcus aureus) and antifungal activities in comparison to unmodified CuO collides. This case study describes the failure analysis of steel nozzle in which cracking was observed after a circumferential welding process. The nozzle assembly was made from low C–CrMoV alloy steel that was subsequently single pass butt welded using gas tungsten arc welding. No cracks were found in visual inspection of the welds; however, X-ray radiography showed small discontinuous cracks on the surface in the area adjacent to weld bead, i.e. heat affected zone. The welding of nozzle parts made of same material was a routine process and this type of cracking did not occur in the past. Therefore, it became essential to determine the root cause of the failure. A detailed investigation including visual examination, non-destructive testing, optical microscopy, microhardness measurements and residual stress measurements were carried out to find out the primary cause of failure and to identify actions required to avoid its reoccurrence in future. Results of the investigation revealed that the principal cause of failure was the presence of coarse untempered martensite in the heat affected zone due to localized heating. The localized heating was caused by high welding heat input or low welding speed and resulted in the high transformation stresses. These transformation stresses combined with the thermal stresses and the constraint conditions to cause intergranular brittle fracture.  相似文献

Vestibular perception of whole-body passive rotation in the horizontal plane was studied by applying two-dimensional (2D) motion to eight blindfolded healthy volunteers: pure rotations in place, corner-like trajectories and arcs of a circular trajectory were randomly applied by means of a remotely controlled robot. Angles embedded in the 2D trajectories were 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees and 180 degrees. Stimulation of semicircular canals was the same for all trajectories but was accompanied by concurrent otolith stimulation during circular motion. Subjects participated in two successive experimental sessions. In the first session they were instructed to use a pointer to reproduce the total angular displacement after the motion (REPRODUCTION); in the second session they had to keep pointing towards a remote (15 m) memorised target during the motion (TRACKING). In REPRODUCTION subjects tended to overestimate their rotation angle by 28 +/- 11% (mean +/- SD). There was no systematic effect of the trajectory. Overestimation also occurred when subjects were required to rotate in darkness by 180 degrees (by controlling a joystick). In TRACKING there was virtually no overestimation (6 +/- 17%) and the movement of the pointer matched the dynamics of angular motion. We conclude that (a) the brain can separate and memorise the angular component of complex 2D motion; however, a large inter-individual variability in estimating its amplitude exists; (b) in the range of linear accelerations used in the study, no appreciable effect of otolith-canal perceptual interaction was shown; (c) angular displacements can be dynamically transformed into matched pointing movements; (d) overestimation seems to be typical of delayed judgements of angular displacement and of self-controlled rotations in place. This could be due to the characteristics of the physiological calibration of the vestibular input.  相似文献

Mediatophore is a protein that translocates acetylcholine (ACh) on calcium action. It is a homopolymer of a 15-kDa proteolipid that is also a constituent of the membrane sector of vacuolar H+-adenosine trisphosphatase (V-ATPase; vacuolar proton pump). Experiments on neuroblastoma cell lines (N18TG-2) that are deficient for ACh release and on cells that are competent for release, such as the glioma C6BU-1 or the N18TG-2/C6BU-1 fusion product NG108-15, show that there is a correlation between ACh release and the 15-kDa proteolipid content of the cell membrane. In another cell line, L-M(TK-), it has been possible to up-regulate ACh release and the membrane proteolipid content after treating the cells with dibutyryl-cyclic AMP or dexamethasone. As mediatophore translocates ACh and as V-ATPase may help vesicular ACh storage, it was interesting to determine the respective role of the two proteins in the observed correlation between release and proteolipid content. After blocking vesicular loading with vesamicol, we did not affect release from these cells, suggesting that the observed correlation may be attributed to mediatophore. The acquisition of an ACh release mechanism would then depend on the process that guides the proteolipid to the plasma membrane of the cell.  相似文献

Benchmark results for the two canonical problems of critical slab and sphere are reported. Three different approaches, use of the X-function and Neumann iteration, FN method, and discrete-ordinate method, are explored. It is found that to the orders of the approximations considered here, the critical half-thickness and critical radius values obtained through the three approaches are consistently accurate from 9 to 12 significant figures, and agree amongst themselves. The accuracy for the corresponding values for neutron density using X-function, and discrete-ordinate method (the only two explored for the density computations) is 9–10 figures. In several instances, the results constitute an improvement on the previously reported benchmark results in literature.  相似文献

In the present paper we introduce soft topological spaces which are defined over an initial universe with a fixed set of parameters. The notions of soft open sets, soft closed sets, soft closure, soft interior points, soft neighborhood of a point and soft separation axioms are introduced and their basic properties are investigated. It is shown that a soft topological space gives a parametrized family of topological spaces. Furthermore, with the help of an example it is established that the converse does not hold. The soft subspaces of a soft topological space are defined and inherent concepts as well as the characterization of soft open and soft closed sets in soft subspaces are investigated. Finally, soft Ti-spaces and notions of soft normal and soft regular spaces are discussed in detail. A sufficient condition for a soft topological space to be a soft T1-space is also presented.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to gain a better understanding of microstructures obtained by multipass gas tungsten arc welding in maraging steel grade 250. Metallography and microhardness measurements were carried out on sheet and welded joints in as-welded and post-weld aged conditions. It was found that there was a significant amount of reverted austenite formed on cell boundaries of weld metal after aging at 758-823 K for 3-5 h, and was stable at room temperature. Aging at higher temperatures led to an increase in the continuous network of patchy austenite along the cell boundaries. The reason for the above, in our opinion, is the concentrational heterogeneity which characterizes the microstructure of maraging steel welds. No reverted austenite was observed in as-welded specimens. Solution annealing at 1093 K for 1 h did not completely eliminate the chemical heterogeneity associated with weld structures. However, homogenizing at 1373 K produced homogenous structure that on subsequent aging produces austenite-free lath martensitic structure.  相似文献

The effects of thermal cyclic aging on mechanical properties and microstructure of maraging steel 250 were studied using hardness tester, tensile testing machine, impact tester, optical, scanning electron, and stereo microscopy. Samples were solution annealed at 1093 K for 1 h followed by air cooling to form bcc martensite. Cyclic aging treatments were carried out at 753 and 773 K for varying time periods. Increase in hardness and strength with corresponding decrease in ductility and impact strength was observed with increasing aging cycles. Reverted austenite was detected by x-ray diffraction technique formed as a result of cyclic aging. The presence of reverted γ was also confirmed by EDX-SEM analysis and attributed to the formation of Mo- and Ni-rich regions which transformed to γ on cooling. Heterogeneity in composition and amount of reverted γ was found to increase with increase in aging cycles and aging time. Fractography reveals the change in fracture mode from ductile dimple-like to brittle cleavage with increase in hardness and strength due to cyclic aging.  相似文献

Blends of PEI with an amorphous copolyester (PCTG) were obtained by melt‐mixing followed by injection molding. The processability of PEI increased several times upon addition of just 10% PCTG, thus expanding the applications of PEI. All the blends showed a single Tg and most of them were transparent. However, they were biphasic as suggested by the widening of the Tg's and proved by SEM. A fine dispersed particle size and good adhesion level were also observed by SEM. The values of the modulus of elasticity and the yield stress appeared close the additivity rule, and were attributed to the combined effects of the density increase and orientation decrease in the blends. These morphological changes had a slightly negative influence on ductility which was nevertheless high.
