Adaptive gain and delay mismatch cancellation for LINC transmitter   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Linear amplification with Nonlinear Component (LINC) transmitter architecture is an efficient solution for high efficiency amplification of signals. Nonetheless, this solution suffers both from gain impairment and delay mismatch between the two signal paths. Indeed, a mismatch in propagation time between the paths degrades the quality of the transmit signal but also disrupts the convergence of the gain correction algorithm resulting in a degradation of its performance. In this paper, we present an adaptive algorithm based on a gradient descent formulation for the identification and correction of these delays. We also demonstrate its effectiveness when applied prior to the gain adjustment procedure. The identification approach is preferred here, to ensure monitoring facilities.  相似文献

A new process that enables glassy materials to self‐repair from mechanical damage is presented in this paper. Contrary to intrinsic self‐healing, which involves overheating to enable crack healing by glass softening, this process is based on an extrinsic effect produced by vanadium boride (VB) particles dispersed within the glass matrix. Self‐repair is obtained through the oxidation of VB particles, and thus without the need to increase the operating temperature. The VB healing agent is selected for its capacity to oxidize at a lower temperature than the softening point of the glass. Thermogravimetric analyses indeed show that VB oxidation is rapid and occurs below the glass transition temperature. Solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy indicates that VB is oxidized into V2O5 and B2O3, which enable the local formation of glass. The autonomic self‐healing effect is demonstrated by an in situ experiment visualized using an environmental scanning electron microscope. It is shown that a crack could be healed by the VB oxidation products.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to describe an original process that has been designed for the fabrication of a microfluidic converter. The fabrication is based on deep reactive ion etching of silicon and low temperature full wafer adhesive bonding. The technology development includes an improvement of the bonding process in order to produce an adaptive strength of SU-8 bond which not only ensures absence of debonding failures during the silicon deep etching procedure and the subsequent dicing procedure, but also avoids the potential SU-8 overflow leakage into channels due to the bonding step. Besides, the originality of the work is not only in the process but also in the design of the device. Common actuation method for microfluidic system is either based on closed-channel continuous-flow microfluidic (CMF) or droplet-based microfluidic (DMF). Both of them have advantages and disadvantages, and their integration on a single system is in dire need. In this paper, we briefly discuss the concept of microfluidic converter, integrating CMF with DMF, which can: (i) continuously preload reagents, (ii) independently manipulate several droplets, (iii) recombine and export samples into closed-channel continuous flow, making it ideal for interfacing to liquid-handling instruments and micro-analytical instruments.  相似文献

We investigate photoluminescence and electroluminescence (PL and EL) emission images from Cu(In,Ga)Se2‐based solar cells by means of a Hyperspectral Imager. Using the generalized Planck's law, maps of the effective quasi‐Fermi level splitting Δμeff in absolute values are obtained. A good agreement is found between the spatially averaged splitting in PL and the global open‐circuit voltage. However, from a local carrier transport discussion, we conclude that the equality does not hold locally. The spatial variations are rather attributed to local depth variations of the quasi‐Fermi level splitting due to material properties spatial fluctuations. By comparing PL and EL emissions, we discuss qualitatively the local effective lifetimes and collection efficiencies. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents a Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (Mc-Cdma) system analysis in a software radio context. Based on a combination of multi-carrier modulation and code division multiple access,Mc-Cdma benefits from the main advantages from both schemes: high spectral efficiency, high flexibility, multiple access capabilities, etc. It is firstly shown why, nowadays,Mc-Cdma is undoubtedly a high potential candidate for the air interface of the 4G cellular networks. TheMc-Cdma concept and the block-diagrams of the transmitter and the receiver are presented first. Afterwards, the technical issues concerning the processing devices for the implementation ofMc-Cdma systems in a software radio context are analysed. The advantages and disadvantages of Digital Signal Processors (Dsps) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (Fgpas) components are discussed. The implementation ofMc-Cdma systems and the integration of signal processing algorithms as Fast Hadamard Transform (Fht) and Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (Ifft) are considered and analysed for the first time. Finally, implementation results with a mixed prototyping board are presented. Then, it is shown that a new combination of the flow graphs ofFht andIfft leads to interesting computation savings and that hardware structures asFgpas are more adapted thanDsps to those intensive computation functions. Finally, for the completeMc-Cdma modem implementation, the necessity of a Co-Design methodology is highlighted in order to obtain the best matching between algorithms and architecture.  相似文献

A series of grooved dielectric quarter-wave plates was made for radio astronomical Zeeman splitting observations at millimeter wavelengths. To meet the stringent requirements on reflection and polarization purity, a design method was formulated based on optimization of multiple reflections. The method solves the problem of achieving low reflections for both polarization components while attaining high purity of circular polarization. Several plates have been manufactured, tested, and used successfully for astronomical observations.  相似文献

Polymeric substrates are of importance in plastic electronics. However, polymeric surfaces can exhibit different morphologies depending on whether they are amorphous or semi-crystalline. This work focuses on the impact of the surface structure of bisphenol A polycarbonate substrates on the nucleation and growth of a p-type semi-conductor, namely zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc). ZnPc films were deposited under high vacuum at different substrate temperatures on oriented semi-crystalline as well as amorphous substrates of PC. The oriented substrates of PC were prepared by a method combining mechanical rubbing and solvent induced crystallization: the substrates show a periodic and regular alternation of oriented crystalline lamellae. Grazing incidence X-ray diffraction shows that the crystalline lamellae of PC have a preferential (a, c) contact plane. Moreover, the substrates show a bilayer structure made of a 60 nm-thick semi-crystalline overlayer atop an amorphous underlayer. UV–vis spectroscopy shows that the polymorphism of the ZnPc films is not modified by the surface structure of the PC substrate (amorphous versus semi-crystalline). However, the statistical analysis of domain size and density versus substrate temperature Ts evidences different apparent activation energies of the growth mechanism. High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy suggests that twinning along a (2 ?1 0) plane accounts for the bifurcations of the in-plane b-axis direction of the ZnPc nanocrystals. On oriented substrates of PC, such bifurcations are partly suppressed by the nanocorrugation of the surface, resulting in larger apparent domain sizes and unidirectional in-plane orientation.  相似文献

In this paper, three different calibration methods for three-dimensional (3-D) freehand ultrasound (US) are evaluated. Calibration is the process of estimating the rigid transformation from US image coordinates to the coordinate system of the tracking sensor mounted onto the probe. Calibration accuracy has an important impact on quantitative studies. Geometrical precision can also be crucial in many interventions and surgery. The proposed evaluation framework relies on a single point phantom and a 3-D US phantom which mimics the US characteristics of human liver. Four quality measures are used: 3-D point localization criterion, distance and volume measurements, and shape based criterion. Results show that during the acquisition procedure, volumetric measurements and shapes of the reconstructed object depend on probe motion used, particularly fan motions for which errors are larger. It is also shown that accurate calibration is essential to obtain reliable quantitative information.  相似文献

Wireless local area networks (WLAN??s) based on the 802.11 standards are ubiquitous. However, the popularity of WLAN??s has made interference between WLAN users an issue. Spatial division multiple access (SDMA) is one way to orthogonalize these users and reduce interference. The contribution of this paper is to use real antenna array prototypes to determine the best array design for implementing indoor SDMA. Two SDMA antenna array prototypes are constructed and used to collect propagation measurements in an indoor environment. The propagation data is then incorporated into an SDMA orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) analysis. This approach is able to very accurately predict how the two array designs will influence SDMA-OFDM performance in the indoor environment where the measurements are collected. The results indicate that the compact sectorized antenna array prototype performs better than the linear array prototype for in-room communication and that the reverse is true for inter-room communication.  相似文献
