The external administration of recombinant human erythropoietin is the chosen treatment for those patients with secondary anemia due to chronic renal failure in periodic hemodialysis. The objective of this paper is to carry out an individualized prediction of the EPO dosage to be administered to those patients. The high cost of this medication, its side-effects and the phenomenon of potential resistance which some individuals suffer all justify the need for a model which is capable of optimizing dosage individualization. A group of 110 patients and several patient factors were used to develop the models. The support vector regressor (SVR) is benchmarked with the classical multilayer perceptron (MLP) and the Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (ARCH) model. We introduce a priori knowledge by relaxing or tightening the epsilon-insensitive region and the penalization parameter depending on the time period of the patients' follow-up. The so-called profile-dependent SVR (PD-SVR) improves results of the standard SVR method and the MLP. We perform sensitivity analysis on the MLP and inspect the distribution of the support vectors in the input and feature spaces in order to gain knowledge about the problem.  相似文献

iMobile is an enterprise mobile service platform that allows resource-limited mobile devices to communicate with each other and to securely access corporate contents and services. The original iMobile architecture consists of devlets that provide protocol interfaces to different mobile devices and infolets that access and transcode information based on device profiles. iMobile Enterprise Edition (iMobile EE) is a redesign of the original iMobile architecture to address the security, scalability, and availability requirements of a large enterprise such as AT&T. iMobile EE incorporates gateways that interact with corporate authentication services, replicated iMobile servers with backend connections to corporate services, a reliable message queue that connects iMobile gateways and servers, and a comprehensive service profile database that governs operations of the mobile service platform. The iMobile EE architecture was also extended to provide personalized multimedia services, allowing mobile users to remotely control, record, and request video contents. iMobile EE aims to provide a scalable, secure, and modular software platform that makes enterprise services easily accessible to a growing list of mobile devices roaming among various wireless networks.  相似文献

Provision of Quality‐of‐Service (QoS) guarantees is an important and challenging issue in the design of integrated‐services packet networks. Call admission control is an integral part of the challenge and is closely related to other aspects of networks such as service models, scheduling disciplines, traffic characterization and QoS specification. In this paper we provide a theoretical framework within which call admission control schemes with multiple statistical QoS guarantees can be constructed for the Generalized Processor Sharing (GPS) scheduling discipline. Using this framework, we present several admission control schemes for both session‐based and class‐based service models. The theoretical framework is based on recent results in the statistical analysis of the GPS scheduling discipline and the theory of effective bandwidths. Both optimal schemes and suboptimal schemes requiring less computational effort are studied under these service models. The QoS metric considered is loss probability. In the emerging Internet of Things, stretchable antennas can facilitate wireless communication between wearable and mobile electronic devices around the body. The proliferation of wireless devices transmitting near the human body also raises interference and safety concerns that demand stretchable materials capable of shielding electromagnetic interference (EMI). Here, an ultrastretchable conductor is fabricated by depositing a crumple‐textured coating composed of 2D Ti3C2Tx nanosheets (MXene) and single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) onto latex, which can be fashioned into high‐performance wearable antennas and EMI shields. The resulting MXene‐SWNT (S‐MXene)/latex devices are able to sustain up to an 800% areal strain and exhibit strain‐insensitive resistance profiles during a 500‐cycle fatigue test. A single layer of stretchable S‐MXene conductors demonstrate a strain‐invariant EMI shielding performance of ≈30 dB up to 800% areal strain, and the shielding performance is further improved to ≈47 and ≈52 dB by stacking 5 and 10 layers of S‐MXene conductors, respectively. Additionally, a stretchable S‐MXene dipole antenna is fabricated, which can be uniaxially stretched to 150% with unaffected reflected power <0.1%. By integrating S‐MXene EMI shields with stretchable S‐MXene antennas, a wearable wireless system is finally demonstrated that provides mechanically stable wireless transmission while attenuating EM absorption by the human body.  相似文献

The interfacial microstructure and shear strength of Sn3.8Ag0.7Cu-xNi (SAC-xNi, x = 0.5, 1, and 2) composite solders on Ni/Au finished Cu pads were investigated in detail after aging at 150 °C for up to 1000 h. The interfacial characteristics of composite solder joints were affected significantly by the weight percentages of added Ni micro-particles and aging time. After aging for 200 h, the solder joints of SAC, SAC-0.5Ni and -1Ni presented duplex intermetallic compound (IMC) layers regardless of the initial interfacial structure on as-reflowed joints, whose upper and lower IMC layers were comprised of (CuNi)6Sn5 and (NiCu)3Sn4, respectively. Only a single (NiCu)3Sn4 IMC layer was ever observed at the SAC-2Ni/Ni interface on whole aging process. Based on the compositional analysis, the amount of Ni within the IMC regions increased as the proportion of Ni addition increased. The IMC (NiCu)3Sn4 layer thickness on the interface of SAC and SAC-0.5Ni grew more slowly when compared to that of SAC-1Ni and -2Ni, while for the (CuNi)6Sn5 layer the reverse is true. Except the IMCs sizes are increased with increased aging time, the interfacial IMCs tended to transfer their morphologies to polyhedra. In all composite joints testing, the shear strengths were approximately equal to non-composite joints. The fracturing observed during shear testing of composite joints occurred in the bulk solder, indicating that the SAC-xNi/Ni solder joints had a desirable joint reliability.  相似文献

One of the major challenges in medicine is the delivery and control of drug release over time. Current approaches take advantage of mesostructured silica nanoparticles (MSNs) as carriers but suffer several problems including complex synthesis that requires sequential steps for (1) removal of surfactants and (2) functionalization of MSNs to allow upload of the drugs. Here, a novel solution is presented to these restrictions: the design of drug‐structure‐directing agents (DSDAs) with dual inherent pharmacological activity and ability to direct the formation of solid and hollow‐shell MSNs. Pharmacologically active DSDAs obtained by amidation of drugs with fatty acids are allowed to form micelles, around which the inorganic species self‐assembled to form MSNs. Since the DSDAs direct the formation of MSNs, the steps to remove surfactants, functionalization, and drug upload are not required. The MSNs thus prepared provide sustained release of the drug over more than six months, as well as rapid cellular internalization by both physiological and tumoral human colon cells without affecting cell viability. Moreover, the gradual intracellular release of both, the active drug and lipid moiety with potential nutraceutical properties is proved. MSN particles designed with this approach are promising vehicles for controlled and sustained intra‐or extracellular drug‐delivery.  相似文献

Knowledge of the equilibrium conditions under which the superconducting phases in the Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O system are stable would enable the controlled preparation of these materials. Isothermal equilibrium between samples in this quaternary system and Tl2O vapor from a condensed thallium oxide source has been studied. None of the superconductor phases coexisted in equilibrium with thallium oxide under the conditions employed. Instead, two previously unknown ternary thallium-calcium-barium oxides and one previously unknown thallium-calcium oxide were observed. The equilibrium phase assemblage at temperatures between 825° and 925°C consisted of the most thallium-rich ternary oxide plus CuO, although small amounts of the other thallium-rich phases may be required to balance stoichiometry. The vapor pressure of Tl2O established by pure, condensed thallium oxide clearly exceeds the stability limit for the superconductor phases. If the thallium-containing superconductors are stable phases at high temperature, they will exist over some range of lower Tl2O partial pressure.  相似文献

Healthier lipid patés were formulated by reducing the fat content and/or replacing the pork backfat by a healthier oil combination (olive, linseed and fish oils) and konjac gel (0-15%). The reformulation results were evaluated by composition (proximate analysis and fatty acid profile), technological properties (emulsion stability, colour, and texture), microbiological and sensory parameters of the patés. Patés with partial or total replacement of pork backfat had lower levels of saturated fatty acids (SFA) (27.4% and 21.3%) and monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) (49.8% and 42.5%), and higher levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) (22.4% and 35.6%) compared with control patés (32.2%, 58.2% and 9.04% respectively). The n-6/n-3 PUFA ratio was decreased from 6.78 (in control patés) to 0.79 and 0.48 when partial and total pork backfat respectively was replaced by a healthier oil combination. Although emulsion stability was affected by the formulation, in general all patés had good fat and water binding properties. The fat reduction produced a softer and more spreadable paté, although no effect on penetration parameters was observed after by pork fat replacement by a healthier oil combination. The addition of 15% of konjac gel produced stiffer structures (as compared with 0 and 7%) which are very close to those of the control samples. No microbiological limitations were produced by the reformulation process, obtaining patés with acceptable sensory characteristics, similar to the control sample.  相似文献

The occurrence of in vitro amino acid activity in bacterial strains associated with fresh pork sausages packaged in different atmospheres and kept in refrigeration was studied. The presence of biogenic amines in decarboxylase broth was confirmed by ion-exchange chromatography and by the presence of the corresponding decarboxylase genes by PCR. From the 93 lactic acid bacteria and 100 enterobacteria strains analysed, the decarboxylase medium underestimates the number of biogenic amine-producer strains. 28% of the lactic acid bacteria produced tyramine and presented the tdc gene. All the tyramine-producer strains were molecularly identified as Carnobacterium divergens. Differences on the relative abundance of C. divergens were observed among the different packaging atmospheres assayed. After 28 days of storage, the presence of argon seems to inhibit C. divergens growth, while packing under vacuum seems to favour it. Among enterobacteria, putrescine was the amine more frequently produced (87%), followed by cadaverine (85%); agmatine and tyramine were only produced by 13 and 1%, respectively, of the strains analysed. Packing under vacuum or in an atmosphere containing nitrogen seems to inhibit the growth of enterobacteria which produce simultaneously putrescine, cadaverine, and agmatine. Contrarily, over-wrapping or packing in an atmosphere containing argon seems to favour the growth of agmatine producer-enterobacteria. The production of putrescine and cadaverine was associated with the presence of the corresponding amino acid decarboxylase genes. The biogenic amine-producer strains were included in a wide range of enterobacterial species, including Kluyvera intermedia, Enterobacter aerogenes, Yersinia kristensenii, Serratia grimesii, Serratia ficaria, Yersinia rodhei, Providencia vermicola and Obesumbacterium proteus.  相似文献
